With tears in my eyes, I'm playing this song for my mother whom we have in home hospice. A recent stroke left her in a paralysis state. This hymn reminds me of when we'd attend Mass as a little girl.

The first time I heard this song was at mass. The words touched my heart. I heard it again last week at a very special wedding. Once again, it touched my heart.

RIP ❤ This song was sung at my grandmother's funeral, it's been over 11 years but still when I think of you, I am filled with all the fantastic memories of a truly caring and loving woman but simultaneously filled with sorry at your passing. Such a beautiful song. Though it's kind of confusing that the author decided to take Isaiah 6:8 out of it's context; it is good the way it is... Wish people wrote about God's wrath more... Gives depth to his love... Not only that, He reveals himself to be of wrath and not just love, so we should worship Him for it. Don't get me wrong, this is a great song with a good message... But, just read Isaiah 6 while listening to this and you'll understand where I'm coming from. It's like the opposite of what God says.
