I'm old and white. In my opinion, anyone who is a good person, works hard and loves their family and country is someone I'm proud to call a fellow American and neighbor. Officer Tatum, thank you for your service.

I’m a 54 year old black man. I support you. Thanks for waking up so many people. I remember my dad telling me he got suspended for beating up a kid in school. When his mother found out she marched up to the school and starting yelling at the principal even though my father was wrong. My dad told me that she should of never done that because he was wrong. The lesson was that you can love someone in your family and still not take up for them when they are wrong. I will never forget what he taught me.

I am a black woman who grew up in a family of die hard democrats. When i became a true Christian and started attending a Bible believing and living church, is when God opened my eyes. You brought me to tears today. The brutal heartfelt honesty of your show today was actually hard to sit through. Takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to do what you just did. I saw an interview with Denzel Washington once that reminded me of what you just did. He lauded his mother as being the stabilizing influence in his life. You seem to have had to do it all on your own, and just used COMMON SENSE! Bravo, my friend!! I'm white and when I was about 8 years old my Mom moved me and my little brother to Louisville Ky and into a heavily black populated area. I remember in school it was hard, but not because of the children. It was hard because of a black teacher I had. However I remember this one black boy my age became my friend and neither one of us saw color. Honestly none of the kids saw color at least not in my experience. We were all just kids being kids. This was back in 1987. Anyway, it was his friendship to this out of place white boy that made the difference for me. I don't remember his name as I went to live with my grandmother shortly after, but I've never forgotten his friendship. Wish I knew who he was so I could tell him thanks. I wish people looked at each other the way kids looked at each other back then. We never cared about color, race, whatever. We just wanted friends.

I'm an American born to Puerto Rican parents. I was also bamboozled and it's crazy because everything you say is just pure common sense and it baffles me that people cannot grasp it. Your story is almost similar to mine in terms of being raised poor and in a democratic family. Born in the Bronx and raised between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia my entire family grew up as Democrats including me. It wasn't until I left my community and did the same thing you did that I realized it was all a lie that I was buying into. And that is when my eyes were opened. Till this day my entire family are still Democrats and hate that I'm a Trump supporter. Anyway I love you videos keep them coming peace.

I'm Mexican American. My father, born in Mexico, grew from teenage to adult in a town where the public pool said "no dogs allowed, no Mexicans allowed", built silos to work through college. He still loved this country. He helped develop the propulsion to the Polaris missile and ended up working on the Space Shuttle in the theoretical, developmental aspect. This country gave him the chance to be what he dreamed. Thank the Lord for men like you and my father.

I admire your courage. I'm a white middle class man who grew up with democratic parents. Taught Republicans were for rich people. I'm 60 now , when I was in my fortys I changed my views. I had to do my own research like you. The liberals and race baiters have truly fooled many in the black and white communities. My parents taught me and my sisters to not be racist , honestly never heard the N word come out of my parents mouth. I grew up in the north ( Philadelphia ) we all got along in my neighborhood. Your best point was bringing up how hard it is to hear something that goes against everything your family taught you. I get it. Some are so brainwashed I don't think you'll ever change their mind. I learned a lot from Thomas Sowell. I think he is one of the most brilliant men I've ever read. I encourage black people to read his books or at least find him on RU-vid.

I am white, grew up in broken home. I was raised to believe that I was owed something. The rich man was the problem. I voted for Obama in 2008. I did not in 2012. To keep this short, I started to realize some of the same things you did. Awesome testimony.

I grew up in a two-parent black democrat family. I grew up being told that republicans were bad and against black people. I went to catholic schools. My high school had 5 blacks out of 500 students. I graduated college and was a Marine. All my life I associated with white folks. I had a white college girl friend and was the first black in my fraternity chapter. I was accepted and learned that white people were not the evil racists that the black democrats said they were. I came to realize that white republicans were not keeping blacks down. It was the policy of democrats that said people needed handouts. I became successful and realized that it was my own hard work that got me here. I started to realize that people are successful by their own hand not because of handouts. I became a republican because the policies made sense. Give people the tools and they will make it. Not give handouts and make them dependent. My family is still democrat and it makes holidays “interesting .” A few of my family have switched to republican because they see the truth about the two parties. B Tatum tells the truth about what is going on and that’s why I watch him. More blacks people need to see the truth and then possibly they can raise themselves up and out from the handout mentality. My Step Mom was Black and My father was Polish and I was never accepted by some for being Polish and others for MY Mom being Black. When I was a Kid I caught hell form both side Black and White. The Army saved me and now I am retired and I have found out most of those who abused me back then have had screwed up lives and I am very Happy and successful with *3 Korean Children that I am very Proud of. God definitely had a Hand in keeping me on the high road and getting me thru the rough days back when and in the service.

I'm 60 and grew up with zero black ppl in my town or school. Until the day a family moved in n went to my school. The girl Gig I approached the first day n offered help to find classes. We are friends to this day. I never was talked to about white or black. I dont believe any of my small town friends were ever talked to about it either. So it's not real that white hate blacks ! She never got called names or bullied at school with over 500 students. Not once Did a white person bully or call her names ! I asked her ! She said no , she never experienced bad from whites. However she did get put down by blacks, her own ppl , for liking whites ! I'm so glad you are telling truth to all ! Bless you.

Officer Tatum, you need to go to your mother, and wrap your arms around her, and tell her that you are sorry for laying a hand on her. I can remember as a child, I called my mama out of her name, and even begging for her forgiveness, and asking her to do something as punishment, it made me feel horrible. She was so hurt, I could see that it broke her heart. I know that she forgave me, but when she passed, it was gut-wrenching to me and once again, I filled up with guilt, as strong as I had felt 5 decades later. Please ask her to forgive you, if you already have not.

You pretty much told my story too. I grew up in a border town, 80% American Mexican, 20% whites, no other ethnicity. Joined the Army and found out more about all other ethnicities. Went to NJ. for basic training and that was an eye opener and brain storm to know I could relate and get along with others. I was also a Democrat due to family traditions or customs. I now consider myself a conservative and Republican, and have also been saved. God bless you, take care and keep doing what you know best.

The officer Tatum- I am deaf/hard of hearing grew up in my school. Dorm life and I didn’t know anything about racism. We had people of all backgrounds and we learned how to get along with each other. After high school is when I started learning about racism and I was so disappointed. You are a great teacher and an officer of the law. Thank you for allowing me to share.

I grew up with a policeman visiting elementary schools as ‘Officer Friendly” giving, uplifting, great talks about being honest, reasons why you follow the laws of the land.. etc. I always looked up to the policeman who did this and those visits had a profound effect on my opinion of laws and my views of the police. That program needs to be brought back to schools, with Officer Friendly visiting the younger children and just talking to them…we really do need it stat!

Hi Officer my son in elementary school became friends with a boy who is a different race but just a beautiful soul. Over the last 20 years he is part of my family. As this young man became a man I have witnessed him become more and more pressured to believe a particular way about our race. I know he struggles because he knows we love him for who he is inside, so I pray that he continues to know what is true. 🙏🏼

I am white and I completely understand, my dad spoke with nasty mouth at home but would help anyone, no matter race or color, I paid attention to his actions in public, not home.
