Ceno when you said “all J do is steal other rappers identity” I was done right there👍🏿. Jay-Z has been accused of stealing other rappers identity since his career started. At first J stole Biggie style and so fourth. You will NEVER be able to call any rapper the greatest because you ask 100 different people and you will get 1000 different opinions on who the greatest is.
@@reggaefan2700 Actually most would have a different opinion in general about this topic. Ive heard people say KRS one, Big L, Nas, Big daddy Kane, Jadakiss, Big Pun Biggie. Like Nas said in ether it ain't no best.
This is why I never debate or argue or play the list game because 1) none of is qualify to speak on the "A" and the "T" in GOAT: we haven't always lived as long as time and we will pass on from time at some point, so, no, not "Of All Time"; if anything "of my generation" or "of ____ era" or "of [fill in whatever year]". 2) ART IS SUBJECTIVE. Men get out of control with competition gor competition's sake sometimes; it is perfectly fine to say Jay Z doesn't do it for you but Lil Wayne or Bun B is everything--no one can refute that if Bun B got you through your baby father making a baby on you at the same time you pushed out or if Lil Wayne gave you the confidence to win the interest of the hardest to fucc bitch you ever seen.
That's not finesse that's snake shit: Jay stay wanting to be the only xigga up as if Black People who invent global culture don't need community; Sean Corey's arrogance is on a whole other level, and I don't find that shit admirable. We ALL can and should eat good.
So Hov can’t be the greatest rapper of all time cuz he has the same haircut as J. Cole, reinvented his sounded after a flop, and closed out an album series. Wow

Nas is the greatest rapper. “If I ruled the world” meant something to every black person and is a example of the kind of music we need to listen too. Their is no song in hip hop history that touches the soul like this one. And his 1st couple albums can only be compared to Biggie or PAC.
Fam I tried to tell people that argue nas isn’t the greatest or at best top 2 that if I ruled the world is one of the main reasons if you just sit back and listen to how he shares on how his interpretation of a perfect world would be like is phenomenal then to make it extra dope he shows his love and respect to some of the forefathers of hip hop kurtis blow with the hook and whodini with the sample and the beautiful Lauren hill another revolutionary top 2 female emcee ever singing the hook this is the definition of a perfect hip hop song I’m sorry nothing JAY-Z, B.I.G., pac, em or anybody ever spit is better then the second verse of this song nothing
Karceno you are right they are always putting him and Biggie up together I would not say he is not a top 5 rapper because he is but when people put him better then big I ask them what jayz album can step on ready to die
Jayz too damn commercial. He hasn't had a hot line in decades. His. Content is forced. Rappers like tupac, nas common, scarface, a tribe called quest de la soul there content carries so much substance. Jayz first album reasonable doubt is his only real classic.
He was NEVER the greatest rapper of all time to me. If DOC never lost his voice who knows how big he would've been. If Tupac never died who knows how many Diamond selling albums he could have made.If DMX kept himself sober long enough to realize he had momentum and fire in his hand in the 2000s who knows how good his catalog would've turned out(catalog is still good) plus no matter how successful Jay z is he can never erase the L that was ether.
@Jamaal Davis this man said X wasn’t on Hov’ level!!?? My guy X was the biggest act in music after flesh of my flesh came out. Jay- Z even now has never been as big as dmx on a mainstream level. Where is Hov’s Hollywood blockbusters at? Two #1 albums in one year, boy you need to stop

Jay hasn’t done anything to shift the culture...he definitely follows the trends. I was done when Jay started rapping like the Migos over Future trap beats. I wanna see Jay step outside of his comfort zone and be creative.
He'll never do that he has that if ain't broke don't fix it mentality that's why i like Kanye as the better artist because he takes risks even tho Jay-Z is the better rapper between those two
My top 10 reason Jay is not the GOAT: 10. Blueprint 2 9. Blueprint 3 8. KINGDOM COME 7. Swagger Jacker - (Cam exposed Jay stealing lines over his career) 6. BIGGIE > JayZ 5. Nas 4. LL 3. KANE 2. RAKIM 1. Pac I like JayZ but the ppl in the top 6 have music that ecsplices JayZ 🎶 🎵
I think Jay has better music over an extended period than LL, Kane and Rakim... LL has 2 classic albums and one very good album... a whole bunch of hit singles, but a whole bunch of album flops, too... after the early '90s, he became boring. Kane has one classic album and one good album... he tried to be a lover/playboy like LL and came out sounding way corny... he's definitely an architect like LL for his '80s output, but his overall career is pretty bland. Rakim has 3 classic albums with Eric B., but a lackluster solo career... he and Kane had the best two songs on the Juice soundtrack, though, but after Let the Rhythm Hit Em, his career kinda tapered off to me. Jay has one bonafide classic and 2 arguable classic albums, so 1-3 classics, depending on who you ask.. he also has several good albums and several mediocre albums... his output is greater than the others because he released 10 albums in like 10 years... he also has a slew of hit singles and he has been able to remain relevant over 3 different decades, which is something that the other MCs on your list failed to do
Blueprint 2 was hard kingdom come ify blueprint 3 ify but resonabl doubt classic vol 1 classic vol 3 classic blueprint 1 classic black album classic only 2 contesting hov pen is big and big L .... Big L didn't get to drop a album but you can tell from the 97 freestyle hov and big got they styles from him ready to die big got busy but life after has never been touched and that was 97 which is. Why i say hov to rich to get ahead of these waves cause big and hov obviously got hold of that style before big L got to use it but hov was fone sign him before he died and big probably wanted to atleast put him on so its not a mark against them for it
