This is just what I was going to say! And the bathrooms at the far end so you;d have to walk around the house in the dark to Lee in the middle of the night. I also thought the bedroom was kinda small for a 1 bedroom. It wasn’t laid out that well really.
Hey Timothy 😉 ‼️ This was a very beautiful home, but I didn’t see any bathtub/shower! I'm still very interested in more log cabins! I'll see YOU in the next video! ~ Chris
😂😂😂 I just realized that lol I was done this was 31/32 homes filmed on this trip but that’s something easily added. On the plan it shows it in the corner of the bathroom. I tried to send you a video on messenger but with crap service it never went through
@@TimothyPLivingston I know the feeling! You can always try again, if you would like to! I had to un-install it and re-install it a few times before Messenger to actually start working correctly! Please check your inbox 📥!
No bathroom??? Omg you left me gagging for more Timothy! I'd have gone down to the basement and gone "oooops sorry I forgot!" 🙄🤭😜 First off, I know we didn't see the side wing or the basement, but I *LOVE* that whole arrangement of little meandering hallways leading to other nooks and rooms. I like the whimsical feel of quirky homes that twist and turn, not knowing what's round that corner or bend, or where does that door lead to...? I would have to have the basement and the side wing....how posh does that sound, having a wing to your home! But I'd need the additional space because of how I'd retweak the usage. Firstly, I'd have the whole thing built back to front! No way am I sharing that glorious porch with every Tom, Dick and Harry strolling past out the front! Invites only I'm afraid! So the back door would be my front door, the laundry space there would be for coats and shoes as you come in, perfect having the half bath by the front door also! The bedroom you showed, would be my laundry room, much bigger, more space for folding and ironing, and the double closet could have the hoover, brooms, dusters etc. The upper loft I'd have all my crafting stuff set out, so it can stay out. Normally I have to clear the table in between as I don't have an actual craft room, so that would be ideal to leave baskets out and the sewing machine set up all the time. The only thing I'd change in the kitchen is to lose that desk, I'd put my rubbish and recycling bins there instead. That then leaves those gorgeous double doors leading my private BACK porch, overlooking my back garden. That would be lovely if people were round, to have the doors open in the summer so they can wander freely in and out. Plus I'd want that view to be of my garden, not of the outside street or delivery men staring in! So bedrooms would have to be added in the basement or in the West Wing! (West as you face the home from MY front door!) How lovely to imagine "retiring for the evening and going off to the master suite in the West Wing!" 🤣 Very lah di dah I must say! I'd have to ring the bell for my cook to bring me hot milk and handmade cookies in bed! Guests can sleep in the basement and think themselves lucky I'm still prepared to entertain them after moving into a home like this! Awww, no I know it's not a posh, grandiose mansion, BUT this is exactly the kind of home I dream about as being the best of the best! It's very humble, welcoming, cosy and absolutely stunning craftsmanship, but to me this is better than any millionaire's mansion! I would literally feel like I'd won the lottery every week for a year if I owned this! I love whimsical homes, it's one of the reasons I hate everything on show when you walk in, because there's no sense of mystery or curiosity in those kinds of houses. That chimney outside looks about as storybook woodland cottage vibe as it's possible to look! Just an absolute heart melter of a house! Even the outside staging is gorgeous! Those giant flagstones on the patio are stunning! I'm not normally fussed about a fireplace, but oh my, I'm fussed about this one! That is the most realistic fake fireplace I've ever seen! All the beauty, none of the mess! I think I'm gonna cry! The whole home is perfect. Definitely saving this to my perfect homes folder, straight in at number 1 by a mile! Thank you for showing this! I'd have no way to see something like this in person, let alone own it! 😘😘😘
Spectacular! Awesome! Wonderful! Magnificent! Are words that describe the log home you showed us in a great video! Having it built on a 30 acres farm is a warm and cozy dream world. Thanks for your dedication and hard work.
This is an absolute thing of beauty. Thank you for sharing. I have always wanted a log home since I was in my 20s. I am now heading toward my 60s and have not experienced one yet ... never even toured one. Giving up is not an option, and I will one day own my own log home and treehouse too!
Absolutely yes!! I only wish you could've shown the basement and side wing to it. And what total square feet would all of that be? You got me hooked on log cabins, and I was raised in the city, Portland Oregon. 2.5M in the whole Metro area. But this right here would be absolutely amazing on the Oregon Coast! Please sir, if you can or will, show more log cabins, please? Big ones too! Have a great weekend, Tim! 💯 PS: I loved the house from yesterday almost as much. But this log cabin beat it just by a hair. 💯🔥
You have to walk through entire house to go to the bathroom and then you are stuck washing hair and bathing in a sink? Who designs a house without a shower or bath?
Wow Timothy, what a beautiful home! What an incredible place to get away to! 🥰 I love the design and how the bedroom separated and private. Probably want access to the bath through the mudroom though. The woodwork is just gorgeous!
@@stevenkaskus6173 Yeah you're right, except it looks like there's a tiny shower in the floor plan. They can certainly do better. Interesting I've found that the most beautiful log cabin style homes have the most underwhelming bathrooms. Although I find that the bathrooms in the double wides are WAY overdone because they can't figure out how to deal with the marriage line and end up wasting a lot of space in the bathrooms. Those over the top bathrooms are hard to clean and a huge waste of space. That said, I do want a shower that I can turn around in and that has nooks to put bottles.
That loft would NOT work as a bedroom for kids. The railing. Totally NOT a good idea in a kid’s room. Mine are grown but I could see my adventurous son at age 3 or heck, any age! deciding he is going to throw a rope over the railing and “climb” down (not knowing it won’t work). 😳 There is no closet upstairs. And you would hear every noise the kids made in their room. There would be no privacy so after about age 10 it would not work. It would be great as a craft room or hang out spot. I’m still wondering where the full bath is… must be off that hallway off the dining area. I saw a door.
i love tge windows but i need some wall space for my furniture. i could do away with the office desk. i have an antique hoosier cabinet. i was looking for a space for my grandfather clock, book cases, what-not cabinet, extrs dressers. so this can be expanded. i think this is adorable but i would need mofifications.
n.e. ohio here, what you showed would be good enough for me no basement needed, change the 1/2 bath into a full bath with shower/tub combo and put the bedroom door across from the bathroom That Would Be SWEEETT!!
Major thing Timothy this home as you have shown in your tour didn't have a SHOWER OR TUB!!! What's up with that. Only showed the 1/2 bath. This is I'm sure not how someone would want a home. Plus the stairs construction was so beautiful and not what we see as typical these days but you didn't point that out. But again where is the shower and or tub?
Oh wow! That's awesome! We have a katahdin cedar log home built from a kit. About the same color on the outside as that one. Love ours and the beautiful home you just showed! Thankyou for running all over the country giving us tours! 👍👏
Hey Yolanda! So that would be the main bath on the plan it shows it having a shower, just didn’t have in this model. But that stuff can be customized. I’d personally keep that as a half and just add an en-suite
Hi Tim and family. What a magnificent home. That fireplace is beautiful. The layout is perfect. I love the furnishings in this home. Great kitchen area. Love this home!
