Sushi is the rice, so that is always cooked. Sashimi is slices of raw sea food/fish. Top work on the channel boys. My backlog is far too big thanks to you.
Tomb Raider Remastered 1-3 is getting a physical release, with several editions. Looks like Limited Run is one of the distributors. You probably already knew this but just in case others didn't 😀
It's crazy how huge these GB games seemed in our 10 year old eyes and how small were in reality. I took me literally years to finish Gargoyle's Quest (with basic english knowledge) and the other day I did a full playthrough on the Switch in 45 minutes. 😂
Ahh, we veteran gamers, I'm still shocked when I realise when I was playing manic miner on the zx spectrum...I kind of paper over it by telling myself I did learn assembly language programming on the speccy and cough, 30 something years later as a computer scientist and programmer...😮
Guys - go watch Gilmore Girls for the pronunciation of Lorelei ... it's pronounced as Lor (from Lorry) ra (like in run) and lei (as in lie ... l-eye) ... it was never lorrally as you've been saying. Great video tho. I've put Monster Hunter Stories is going on my wish list .
Lorelei and the laser eyes is one of the best puzzle games I’ve ever played, hands down. Brilliant puzzles that give you everything you need contextually to solve them, most of it is just decoding. I took the advice of the note pad and it helped greatly. And a pretty awesome story too, that you can’t really avoid after looking through the clues over and over. Total David Lynch vibes. Best description of the game I saw was Resident evil but with math instead of zombies lol
Hell yeah! I was right about to say that too - I remember playing game that on the porch of my Great Grandmothers house - Finished it twice, Good times -
Isnt Stich that puzzle/knitting game that was featured in the last nintendo direct? That game caught my eyes. It looks very interesting and fun. Maybe i'll buy it too someday.
@Ser-Smiley Yesssss. It's sooooo relaxing and amazing once you get the hang of it. Also there are some massive ones to complete. Can't reccomend it enough
Stitch is so relaxing. I've been impressed with the number of puzzles, too (especially the inclusion of new daily and weekly puzzles). It scratches a similar itch to Picross or games like Piczle Lines, which I've been addicted to for years. Really glad to have it on the Switch.
It's not a game I ever thought I'd be into and remember thinking wtf and hating the look of it and mocking it in the direct. Now I cant wait for dlc and more patterns. 15year old me would be ashamed of what I grew into hahaha
Im currently replaying Tales of vesperia. Had to take a short break from metroidvanias. I finished Pronty and Salt and sacrifice lately. Pronty is so good.
Super Mario Land was my first gameboy game too! And it was also my only gameboy game for a long time 😅 thanks for showing this one, I would love to be able to just buy it from the eshop without the need of a subscription
Sushi is actually the rice. It translates roughly to vinegar rice. I've been meaning to get the first Monster Hunter Stories. I really hope they continue the spinoff series in the future. The second game was great! I might also try Lorelie and the Laser Eyes. Mostly for the title, but I do love puzzles!
Woo more Interesting Games content! I've been binging the playlist recently and I've added a few games to my wishlist from them, Imagine Earth specifically. Cheers SwitchUp!
I have never heard of Monster Hunter Stories one or two and both are coming out on consoles...thanks for pointing that out - they look really beautiful and like something I'm very interested in! I remember on the first grade playground I borrowed someone's gameboy and play Super Mario Land. I accidentally deleted their save file and felt so bad and had to explain it to them, but they said it didn't matter. It wasn't until decades later that I played through that game...and it was so easy and short lol. It wasn't until then that I didn't secretly still feel bad about it.
It's the Analogue Pocket that plays physical carts for Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and GBA games. There are also Pocket adapters for Game Gear, TurboGrafx-16, NeoGeo, and Lynx. They sell-out regularly, but do restock every now and then. It uses FPGA, so emulates the original hardware, not software. Most retro consoles emulate the software.
Monster Hunter Stories! I played that on the 3DS. I loved it. I purchased the physical of the second one, and it got lost in the mail, and I couldn't get my money back. So I never wanted to buy it again, essentially paying twice as much.
I love mario land. Had Mario Land, Revenge of the Gator, Kung Fu Master and Alleyway back in the day. Whenever i pick up mario land even for a second i always end up just finishing it. Play it about once a year.
Don’t feel bad about playing Super Mario Land when it first came out, Mark. I played the game via a classmate’s Game Boy, and I was twelve at the time! I had always borrowed my cousin’s and classmate’s Game Boys until I was able to finally afford my own during my paid internship in my senior year of high school (1994, thirty years go). Whether or not we’ll be among the first seniors in the future enjoying and appreciating video games (history, culture, development, mechanics) remains to be seen, but I’m not ashamed to enjoy gaming despite my age. And yes, I played SML on NSO last night (Tuesday, May 21st), and yes, it took about 35 minutes reach the ending. Remember that is you beat the game twice in a row, there’s a level select on the start screen.
A really really good one i discovered recently is astlibra. 2d metroidvania(ish) with a really good battle system and a lot of weapons, fast paced combo heavy with freedom in character build, big bosses and a surprisingly good story.
RE Lorelei and the Lazer Eyes - literally came in here to say that I'm 100% buying anything that Annapurna Interactive puts out (Sayonara Wild Hearts, Neon White etc) so this is going to be downloaded to a Switch near me very soon!
Thanks again guys... Lorelei and laser eyes was on my watch list now in my library and then when you mentioned their other game Sayonara.... looked up that and found physical version for just £8... couple of Savaloys!!! Happy days!!! ..think i watch too many of your videos... every video hits my bank balance and even starting to talk like you two now!!! Cheers guys.... See yaaaaaa!!!
@@JulesNekro It had two phases, second phase was challenging until you learned the moves but you have to survive long enough to see them. Achievable like all Soulslike bosses through perseverance.
I’d definitely get a copy of Monster Hunter Stories 1. I’m hooked since it’s being mentioned in the Nintendo Direct. Capcom has just released the anime (first two episodes) at their RU-vid Channel, not sure if it’s only for Asia region though. It’s so back to the basics (if you get what I mean) that warms my heart.
I'm guessing they'll do a review of that one since it's fairly popular. In the meanwhile, fwiw, SwitchStars did a livestream of the game on Switch that was pretty good. I'm definitely looking forward to the full release.
Wow, Super Mario Land. The nostalgia. I only had a few games with my Game boy back then, but this is one that I played to death. And man, I hated the water level.
No one has any idea how excited I am for Monster Hunter Stories on Switch. I’m beyond excited. I thought TTYD was the end of the best games to come to switch and then they blessed me with this one as well ❤
I was born in 1998, but my parents were not able to afford the gba so I got the gameboy and for the longest time, I thought most gameboy game were superior to gba, mario land being one of them ! This console is synonymous with love and it shows
Ah sushi, the most popular way to get worms. I've been playing the Last Faith and loving it despite it still needing some patches. Going to to get NecroBouncer on the 24th since I already saw Switchstars do a stream of it and the performance seems fine to me on Switch.
This was a good mix of games. And I will be getting Lorelei and the Laser eyes and Hauntii they look perfect for me. And growing up I used to play Popeye in the arcade and then the NES (reason I got the NES and Kung Fu) but I never knew of Popeye 2 will have to search that out. My Mrs will ban me soon from watching RU-vid every time I go on it I'm getting another eshop game or a retro game for one of my consoles. She just doesn't get gaming especially retro gaming which just for me takes me back in time nostalgia you can't beat it.
I started thinking about _Hauntii_ after seeing I Dream of Indie's review, but your comments made me even more intrigued. I've already wishlisted LoreLIE (that's how the end should be pronounced if the devs aren't weirdos.) As a side note, SML WTF. My GameBoy came with Tetris and it took way too long to save money for GB Mario greatness, but luckily I had some of them on NES. Back then, having more fingers than games was normal and I often miss those modest days; Having countless options can be shit, feeling genuinely satisfied is very uncommon.
After getting soft-locked and putting it down a few years ago, I decided to revisit Monster Boy & The Cursed Kingdom. I decided to start a new play-through because on my original attempt, I made the mistake of not listening to where the character in town wanted me to go and I got to a room I couldn't progress in because I lacked an ability. The problem was I had no way to get out of the area to try I was in to collect it. Really weird. Either way, I just got the ability I missed previously so hopefully I'll be good when I get back to the same spot!
Will Hauntii be getting a physical release? Play Asia has a physical copy up but not available to order yet, but are they jumping the gun or is the physical confirmed?
I remember discover gameboy in year 2000, i borrow from my friend he said it's broken. I try to repair and it works. I play super mario land, it was awesome
Currently playing through Astral Chain and I only fully started playing it after my brother got me to watch Jujutsu Kaisen. Now I can't stop and after that will either go through the levels or finish Lost in Random. Recently completed Sherlock Holmes the Devil's Daughter and that was fun with all the cases and still have to do the other Sherlock Holmes game.
Just started Chants of Sennaar. I appreciate the language discovery, reminds me slightly of Tunic in that regard but it's art style is very appealing in a nontraditional way
I got an original Gameboy as a girl in the 90s or so. That super Mario I played so very many hours. Especially on road trips. It has held up really well. I agree it is still epic.
I really liked mh stories back on the 3ds, so I'm pretty excited. Stories 2 had some great thing but something that where removed in the second game makes me like stories 1 more than 2. So I'm glad to play it again.
Guys where is your Paper Mario Review?? I'm on the fence and i need to hear what you think before pulling the trigger. This is what you've done to me ... JK keep up the good work, love the channel!
Tokyo cooking was so fun for like three minutes and then you realize it’s just the same same repetitive boring actions and there’s no time limit so it’s just really boring after about two minutes
I finished unicorn overlord and have a gargantuan back log of rpgs I want to chip away so of course I settled on playing *drumroll* the castlevania advance collection. Specifically starting with circle of the moon. I think because I want to play the ds castlevania games but want to play all the gba ones first
I like monster hunter stories on thw 3ds never got to finishing it but look like imma get another chance ! The sp was amazing gameboy the light screen was so nice to have to be able to play game oy and advance games loved it put alot of tine into pokemon and shinng soul 1-2
Currently been playing several games, Those games being Assassins Creed 2 (since I dipped on the AC bundle that was on sale a month ago.) Playing some Fuga: Melodies of memories as well, CC2 needs more appreciation. And I’m slowly playing through the Voice of Cards games, can never go wrong with Yoko taro games.
Bruh I love monster hunter, I do also love the more animated look, but the turn based combat is sooooo played TF out yo Jesus Christ. It literally is keeping me from buying it. If it’s not a persona or baldurs gate level game…I’m done with that turn based fugazi bs. Foh.
