I've trusted you before, and it's worked out. So, I'm seriously thinking about expanding into content marketing. It's a LOT of creation of material that is not product. I'm an author/musician and I create and sell books of musical arrangements. My successful action so far has been to put my effort into producing books, and then advertise them on the (extremely well known) platform where they are sold: at the exact point at which people are searching for books like those I create and sell. That platform does a killer job of getting my titles in front of the people who are searching for what I create. It costs me about $500 to net $1K in royalties. I have felt this is a good return on advertising investment. I know that without advertising, I'd be making ZERO sales, so I've been satisfied with the ratio, and my marketing has been limited to setting up advertising campaigns (with the selling platform) that target key search words and creating good copy for my product description. I'm at the point where I would love to (and need to) increase my sales, but I am a sole proprietor, 70 years old, and I have to wonder if my time will be well spent creating marketing and social media content, or if I should keep concentrating on creating BOOKS, giving my customers what they are willing to pay for.

Thank you Ileana1 That's mostly just because I beleive in writing for persuasion first and foremost, SEO second. If you're a local business, you definitely want to include your locality in multiple places on your page, but easy does it. Plus there are tons of service businesses out there that aren't tied to any particular location, so I don't usually go there other than in my local-SEO videos.

Thx so much Claudia! I actually have an editor so I don't do it myself. But I know tools like descript make it easy to jsut edit videos like you're editing a text doc which is nice.
Some podcasts I listen to are actually on video form on RU-vid so can I extract the audio from my long form RU-vid videos into Podcast apps sorry I don’t know how they work. I haven’t use that software yet. Or should they be different contents so should the RU-vid videos and the podcast be completely separate?

Love the idea that content marketing isn't a part of the funnel... it IS the funnel. Especially in business. You'll get folks that will watch your content who are just discovering you, folks who know you, folks who are customers, and even folks who are former customers.
