Fun fact: Jack Nicholson was previously in the fire service. They had to use a real door for this scene because he would break down a prop door far too easily.
@iiAFX I think you forgot "Spider-man(1981-82)", "Problem Child," "Little man," "Jessie:The Whining(Season 2, episode 1)," "The Ultimate Spider-man(Season 2, The Howling Commandos)," "Woody Woodpecker," and "Lego Star wars:Terrifying tales."
I think more people nowadays can quote this line than there are people who know who Johnny Carson was. I only recently figured it out myself which added a whole new layer to that Simpsons gag
No matter how mant times this joke is repeated, Homer's one will always be the absolute best parody of it. It understands the origin of the joke and mixes it with Homer's stupididy to take it to it's logical extreme, bringing in other talk show hosts. Very few of the other examples are that clever.
0:07 Homer: **Breaks down the door** "Here’s Johnny!" **Realizes the room is empty** "D'oh!" **Breaks down another door** "DAAAAAAAVID LETTERMAN!!" Abe: "Hi David, I’m Grandpa." Homer: "D'oh!" **Breaks down another door** "I’m Mike Wallace, I’m Morley Safer, and I’m Edd Bradley, All this and Andy Rooney tonight on 60 minutes!" "AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!"
By far the best of the references because it understands what it was a reference too and expands upon it with more talk show intros along with Homer's stupidity.
Homer - "Here Johnny” is hilarious 😂! Each time he’d axe the wrong doors 🚪! Couldn’t stop laughing 😂! Best scene ever, iiAFX can you do part 2 "I’ll be back" this year?
Well if you are wondering why he even adding Chucky it is because he actually added people who said here's (name) or does the reference which is what Chucky did. Chucky did what Johnny did he used the axe to attack the door and he looked into the door like he was gonna say "here's Johnny" but Instead he says "I can't think of a thing to say..." "Fuck it"
