Moral of the story: Ovens ruin relationships and sledgehammers save them.

I love how they acted like humans up until the end when he licked her. That took me off guard 💀

Not to sound corny, but I believe the lesson of this story is it's never too late to reconnect with someone you love. It's only too late if you give up.

"My wife and I were about to divorce so she smashed a hole in our wall" Seriously though, this animation is so cute and heartwarming. I love the simplistic style of the 3D models and the lighting looks gorgeous.

moral or the story: dont slam the oven door. or youll lose sight of the plan by trying to buy a new one

I thought they were both dogs But now that I realized they are actually a cat and dog couple It probably implements the message even more that after all differences they are still together THATS SO CUTE

I love the representation of married couples whose main goal isn't to have children. Starting a family is a great and beautiful thing, I just appreciate when stories depict married couples whose dream is just to live happily together and love each other, running their small business as a couple. I love seeing all the different aspirations and dreams that make people happy, including running a really awesome bakery!

Imagine seeing your neighbor hit a hole through their wall then see the two of em laugh.

It wasn’t about opening a bakery, it was about working together and spending time together, that what relationships need. Yes, couples need income to support themselves, but with communication and time reserved for each other, the relationship is doomed to dissolve.

I still can't believe this was made by Chileans, my country... So happy to see that there are creators out here.

It’s astonishing how a lot of these independent animated short films have more love and care put into them than what Disney’s putting out right now.

I just noticed that in the beginning, the colors were very vibrant. As it went on though, the colors turned duller as the couple grew further apart. Excellent symbolism.

I love that even though the figurines shattered, the cupcake never did. Good symbolism.

This animation is just so…..great. How it was the cat who was afraid to lose the plan if they don’t follow it right now, how it was her who did it all eventually. And how it was the dog who helped her remember. They swapped places.

I love how the husband and wife broke but the cupcake always stayed together.

The part when the camera zooms away from the wife is an amazing yet subtle touch to how the two were slowly becoming farther apart, and the moments when the two were close were really heartwarming, yet the parts where they were far away had a more melancholic tone. It just adds to the subtle brilliance of the delivery of the main message of being close to loved ones.

If this ends up tragic I will scream. I haven’t finished it. Edit: IT WAS SO SWEET I LOVE IT OMG

This story evokes so many emotions, how much time can pass, regret and sadness from not following your dreams, this was a well written, and animated story!

I absolutely love how the color scheme changes with the emotion/feeling of their relationship

I love how throughout this whole thing they didn’t kiss, they just nuzzled and it was the cutest thing.

One of the most heartbreaking moments in this anination was when... she bought the cupcakes.

I loved the part where they’re surrounded by this everlasting gloom inside that forest of concrete and when she breaks the wall, a warm light enters. It’s like, they found their lost passion again. And their love blossomed once more.❤ brilliant details.

I love how the mini figurine of them was supposed to represent their relationship because the statue breaks then it gets fixed then it breaking its the perfect representation of their relationship not working out

Did anyone notice the "camera shake" that gave the feeling of being recorded on camera instead of being digitally rendered?

this is one of the most beautiful short that i have the opportunity to see, represent as is a real couple: working together to overcame the obstacles of life, in a relationship marked for love and trust, enjoying the life happily as it should be, is really precious.

This is so sweet🥺 I noticed on how the outfits changed, from cyan and a more comfortable outfit, then black symbolizing them being busy, and then both colors to symbolize them having a resolution. Chef’s kiss :)

The house getting bigger represented the distance growing between them. And the cake topper represented their bond breaking, and when the cat destroyed the house it represented her breaking the barrier between the two of them.I think this is right

I love how simple the art style is in this it's clear the animators didn't have a massive budget but they put the limitations to there advantage to make a really beautiful looking animation I especially love the lighting and how it tells the story.

Its really sweet that the people who voice this married couple are actually a married couple of animators who work together with their own animation studio. The parallels!

Oh hey, I just realized! Not only is the time spent in the rough waters of their marriage not wasted after they got through it, but even the experience they got working their jobs weren't to waste, either. The corgi worked his way to management positions as a barista, meaning he has a good grasp of customer service and how to handle people, especially in a bakery-like setting. The calico worked as an assistant in an ad agency, and was presumably good at it and got promoted, so she knows how to advertise and spread branding really well. Both skills are needed to run a successful store that'll stay open for a while, and they have over six years of experience as opposed to _probably_ winging it with the bakery at the beginning, and _possibly_ failing anyway. The rough patch not only was needed for them to realize what they mean to each other and their dreams together, but also how to keep those dreams steady and afloat. Feel like many people have realized this sooner, especially if it was intentional, but I didn't see much in the comments, so

the plot, the characters, the colors, the atmosphere is so.... marvelous. and their growth and choices is so real. i love it

I just LOVE that their house slowly desaturated the colors and faded away, and when she finally caught sight of what she had been missing, she tore the big hole into the house and let the light come through, saturating the color palette again. Such a nice touch that really adds to the tone.

The heart breaking part is that the cupcake never broke! Just like their plan! They planned to build a bakery! But wanting more, their plan was forgotten, but not broken! Just like the cupcake 😢😢😢

He loved her for her passion. As she grew apart from who she really was, out of fear to fall back into destitution, he couldn't see her anymore. Not the woman he fell in love with, but just a woman... This is also a very nice animated film that shows how one can lose their dreams easily...

I really love the way their house reflects their emotional state. It was so small but cozy, so colourful at the beginning but lost all its colours, became so dull and empty as they did.

I absolutely am in love. Not just with the characters and the style, but also with the sheer thought and effort that went into conveying everything without needing words. My favorite scene was when the dog says "You just don't get it. I can't...do this anymore." Sure, it didn't save budget by condensing that minute long sequencing with only music and animation playing into a short ten second yelling speech, but boy, was it effective. I understood through that single sentence what he was going through and, with the cat's reaction, what that meant for her, too. Another one of my favorite parts of this entire animation is how, originally, the cat was the one who usually stayed next to the window, and the dog was beside her. After they got some renovations to the house, the dog began to be the one sitting next to the light, and the cat began straying into the darkness, showing how he was shown to her dream and now he's the one who's beginning to adopt it, but now she's the one receding back, forgetting it all. It hit even harder when she...hit the wall even harder and tore that hole through. She could've been the one to rush to the dog instead of the dog rushing to her, because either way they would've been in the light, but the dog was the one to rush to her, to be with her in that newly opened light...Because all in all, just gazing through that window of possibility is just that--gazing. But now, through their own fair share of trials and tribulations that they both stuck through with the help of each other, they're done with just looking and now they both finally have the strength, with each other, to work with their own power to obtain their dreams of being together.

I think the video is about how people who use to have their own dreams get distracted by society's expectations -- superficial things, a bigger house, a stable desk job etc P.s. That crying scene really got to me, the realization that 6 years are wasted just like that, blindly following what society expects us to do, becoming the same as everyone else. I did have a part of my life where I was dwelling in that phase

This film has altered my brain chemistry, every time things fall apart I cry for a little while and then get up and go "Here's the plan." And it gets me through life

The amount of detail put into this piece really shows. The richer they got, the colder the environment became. All of the colors are dull and lifeless. Even just having the glass dolls break, the subtle messages are sooo good. Really shows how money just does not buy happiness. Sure it can bring comfort but it's not worth sacrificing so much of what you love for it. This is just so well made. one of my all time fav animations for sure, just wonderful work

Always come back to this animation at least once a year. Just something about it the message is a good reminder. And I make a rule to watch it straight through with no distractions or clicking off or pausing.

If some people are wondering why he got so upset because of that moment it's because in the beginning he risked the idea for her but when the time came for her to make a decision she didn't risk a thing for him until the end

Relationships last when you're both willing to always work things out no matter how hard it gets.

this really say something though either follow your dream or follow your job its absolutely difficult to pull off both, cause sometimes your job cant be your dream and your dream just wouldnt work well enough to be your job this is really a big reality slap i wish more people would realised this

I see symbolism here: The couple abandon their goals, their identity and individuality. They collect symbols and objects, but are not happy as they lost their individuality . When they gain who they are and they live. As Oscar Wilde says "Nobody will waste his life in accumulating things, and the symbols for things. One will live. To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all"

This is what marriage is. It's passion, and love, and dreams for the future at first, that evolves into responsbilities, and boredom, and ruts, and kids, and drifting apart........and then back together.......and repeat........and repeat........and repeat. There are times you can't wait to be together and times you wish you could just go your own way. You fall into and out of love over and over again. And if you just stick with it, before you know it, you're in your 70's and can look back at all you've shared and endured. We celebrate our 50th anniversary soon. And I'm so glad we stuck it out.

Ok I love how flawed Both of these characters are rather than one being the awful person and one being the one who gives up everything. One getting completely obsessed with work and not respecting the other decisions and eventually sort of manipulating the situation and the other being unable to communicate there thoughts or feeling in an adequate manner while debatably not being able to move on

I spoke with a colleague at work. She's been at the same job for over seven years. I know she's a student, and in a few months I believe she'll have completed her course. We had a little talk today. She told me about her dream of owning a bakery. This came to mind. My attempt to explain it to her, considering how I was tired and malnourished, also blasé from the mind numbing work I was doing... my depiction wasn't all that convincing. We have an internal email system so I sent her the link. I hope she finds it as precious as I do. A very touching story about two people who care about something enough to sacrifice. In the end, they realize they got side tracked. But with a little bravery, a little nudge with a sledgehammer, they broke down the walls they had put up and found each other, themselves, and their passion again.

When she was breaking down that wall all i could think about was the repair cost cutting into the bakery budget

It's a really cute story. Makes me realise how most of people as a couple just lose connection with each other. Miss each other from the inside unknowingly. They keep on working to get money and have things which doesn't bring that much happiness. Instead we need a balance to in both work and personal lives. Work life gives up financial stability and personal life with each other gives up mental peace, relaxation, tiredness that we face in our day to day work life 🌸

Yoooo…I was literally crying when she cried… This is such a touching and beautiful animation! I absolutely love the story and the characters, problems mentioned here, themes…everything! And the animation is really good, characters kinda look like these velvety to the touch little toy animals… Now it’s one my favorite animated short films

This film broke and mended my heart in the span of eighteen minutes. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes right now. Never have I seen a short film like this that has a good ending, this film makes me so happy.

Мы учимся в школе, заканчивает институт, начинаем работать ещё помня о своей мечте, но потом это затягивает как болото, ты откадываешь на потом, позже становиться рутиной и наконец появляется семья, и тебе уже кажется, что сейчас не подходящий момент, то сложная работа, то командировка, то ребенок маленький. А жизнь идёт, она проходит, а ты так и не реализуетэшь ни одной своей мечты. Для меня этот фильм стал пробуждением, ведь именно это я сейчас и делаю, мне так жаль.
