If a person eats a fast food meal everyday with a large coke and they switch to diet they will lose 1lb a week by only doing that. As long as they don’t make up for it somewhere else.

@@anii221 It’s not healthy, but Diet Coke does not have calories. Calories are a measurement of energy. Excess energy is stored as fat. Regular coke has 120 calories per 12oz can. I see very overweight people drinking 24oz full calorie sodas all the time. If they eliminated just that from their day and did not replace the calories they would lose a half a pound a week.

What I learned from the comments is so many people are uneducated about nutrition. Saying how healthy she eats and how it's a small amount. Or that she probably has something wrong with her or hormones. Sure hormones can cause some weight gain and loss but overall any of those things are rare. Usually a large person is large because of a caloric surplus over a long period of time as well as not moving enough. It usually always comes down to those two things. Of course there are rare instances of a disorder/illness but that's so overused and also an excuse.

People can be found attractive at any size and are socially acceptable at any size. However, "healthy at any size" is bullshit and, as a health care provider, I won't lie for them and pretend obesity is not a health problem. Telling the truth at the appropriate time, is not fat shaming.
I don’t even care about food and drug abusers shaving significant amounts of time from their life. I just hate having to pay for their overburdening the health system. Lizzo has the potential to be an incredibly fine woman. She has the face and if you look her up and down, you can see how her curves fall into the right places. But she refuses to exercise. She's wasting what could be the best years of her life .
You already know the movement has some mental deficiency to it as they call what she has "curves"... I would say that a curve usually has a beginning and an end. I am not shaming, but at the same time pretending all is normal and good with something is just as bad as shaming.
This is total bullshit. And she ain't no vegan (the vegan diet is definitely not sustainable and most do fail on that diet sooner or later anyway). A woman of ANY color who's raking in the kind of money this one does can well afford a good doctor, a private chef, a personal trainer to keep her in line, AND a fantastic home gym. I just hope she gets it together for her own health. A lot of the songs she sings seems to promote a message that being big is beautiful. Let me say this. Lizzo is NOT a body positive role model. There were many body positive people who were really doing it. Beth Ditto, Cupcakke. They were never out here crying and begging for acceptance like Lizzo has. But Lizzo is talented. Not taking that away from her. But all I ever hear about is body positivity and hardly anything about the music/Talent.

This is a huge topic, but no one needs to worry Hollywood will break her and make her lose the weight, it always happens. This is temporary, and it does not matter to me which she chooses as long as she is well, she's super cute and I like the boldness that I could never have!
The current fad is body positivity and picking a gender other than the one you're born with, and Hollywood is pushing this crap. So Lizzo is safe from any shaming. This vegan "diet" her and others are glamorizing is extremely unhealthy. Will you lose weight on it? Sure. But the body mass you're losing is muscle, for the most part. And the way Lizzo eats vegan is way more calorie heavy than other diets. For one, that smoothie at 5:14 probably has close to 2000 calories. Not to mention there's very few nutrients in it aside from peanut butter. And peanut butter is very high calorie. I loved how they say that oat milk "could benefit heart health". Ya it could, except it doesn't. They sure know how to word things dont they? Oats are grains and grains are extremely inflammatory. Not to mention vegans heavily rely on seed oils like vegetable and peanut oil, since they can't use butter, or even better for you, tallow. When you cut out fat from meat and dairy, you deprive your brain of important nutrients. Your brain thrives on animal fats. It truly saddens me that people fall for these fad diets. I've never met anyone that is healthier when they've gone vegan. They usually end up with serious digestive and inflammation problems. They'll tell you that they feel great, but the dark circles around their eyes and flaccid skin tell a much different story.
So how many calories is she bangin down a day? Clearly more than whats recommended for a healthy body.Time will not be kind for her choices down the road.
