Bro his doug score is rigged, the acceleration should be 10/10 as it is faster than the M5 competition, and he gave M5 a score of 9 out of 10 for features and this car a 7!! M8 literally has the same features of the M5
Yeah if this car only gets a 66 from him he's being way too picky. Compared to what? The best car in the world to him probably only gets a 70, his scoring system is weird, but whatever.

Recently got my M8 Competition and I tell you it's an amazing ride. I slept outside for 3 straight days starring at it. I could have done a week but you know mosquitos and other night bugs.
I think Doug does a great job showing car's cool features, but I feel he missed some of the big ones with this car and raved about ones found on a Kia Forte (the lane keep/adaptive cruise). I think a really neat feature with this car is the reverse memory. For example, if you drive up a tight windy driveway, it could be hard to reverse out of. The car will remember your steering inputs and do those exact things in reverse to guide you all the way back down the driveway, without touching anything.

The thumbnail had me thinking it looked like an elongated mustang with no wing. This is a sharp looking car. This and the AMG GT63S 4dr are the best looking cars period right now

In my experience, if you're not in a hotspot area for car fanatics it's incredibly rare to see an american car except Ford station wagons and hatchbacks here in Europe and especially newer ones.

Yes I would have loved for my 2017 Gt 350 with 526 hp could do 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds, dam! That’s crazy fast for that look alike mustang! Unfortunately, 160,000 car(bmw) is way more money than I would want to pay. I guess my little Gt 350 performance will due and the exhaust sound of it makes it seem like I am going faster. Lol!

Seriously, it's a freaking M car with 600+ horsepower. Plus we're not talking about the X6M or X5M here which are huge cars. This thing is really not that big. How is it surprising that it's sporty?!
The carbon-fibre roof helps in keeping the centre of gravity down low (since there would be less weight up high). It makes sense even if it does not offer substantial overall weight savings.

sorry, look again. The BMW has much clearer lines, more harmonic and elegant but in the same time still aggressive. BMW manages to get everything at its best. This car has won several design-awards. The Mustang ... not so much.
Kent Keller really??? So my relatives owned bmws for over 10 years and didn’t even need any repairs apart from changing the tyres which any car will have to change at some point, People buy German cars for a reason
@@promo2099 I guess it depends on the owner. My neighbor always turns on his bmw early morning in the cold weather and drives off with a cold engine. Doesn't even warm it up. I see him repair his car every other month.
Aahhh man i was thinking the exact same thing of course every dash warning light will be on , leaking oil , probobly need a water pump etc etc.. But i do want one an yeah i own a bmw .

@@TrashPanda2801 He is the literal meaning of a boomer. The only thing i agree with him is that the the bimmers of in the late 2000's were very unreliable but now they became Decently reliable. Luxury car like these are only meant to last the first owner . or the second one. The tech in these cars are only meant to last until there is a new facelift. Same story with engines, these engines are meant to withstand about 100k miles, but after that, they will run like literal shit. Most of used buyers always buys the cheapest bmw or merc and expect it to work like a champ. Thats the thing with theses people, they dont really get it that it is a luxury car not a reliable car
How can the M8 Competition get the same scores for handling, fun factor and cool factor as the M850i? I'm sure it must handle at least a bit better than the 850i and be a little bit more fun due to the extra horsepower. Plus a true M car is always going to be more cool than the non-M version of the same car. I think it really deserved some extra points in these categories. Also, that trunk is HUGE. So practicality could be also bumped up to a 5.
as i said before, doug is not the guy to review sports cars. he can talk about quirks and features of old vehicles or family vans and that's about it....dont waste time with this car reviewer that is only capable to review cars when they are stationary
i remember the first video i saw doug point out the “delet all relationships” button i laughed for 15 min straight even today when i think of it i laugh uncontrollably. i just picture some upper middle class guy in his BMW having a mental breakdown and saying “i never want to hear from any of u again!!!”
Doug, ever since the i8 discontinued in 2020, BMW decided to revive the 8 Series with a new generation like this. This version of an 8 Series is an M8 Competition as stated by the title of this video.
