The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor may be a purpose-built truck for off-road races, but it's not stopping people from buying it to be used in the city. In this Filipino car review, we take the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor out for a drive around the city to see how it performs. The Ford Ranger Raptor price is affordable considering the amount of kit and performance you get for the money. So even if most people who buy the 2024 Ford Ranger raptor will not go off-road, it is still one of the most comfortable mid size pick up trucks in the Philippines today. Plus the fact that the 2024 Ford Ranger raptor is huge and can easily bully its way around the city. The 2024 Ford Ranger raptor has more presence than the 2024 Ford Ranger Wildtrak, which is also a reason why the Ford Ranger Raptor is more popular than the Wildtrak sibling.

eto yung sasakyang madalas nagpapasakit ng puso ng mga toyota fans. hindi kasi nila matanggap na mas maganda to. kaya madalas sinisiraan na lng. pampa lubag loob nila. wla na iba masabi kundi reliable reliable nakaka umay. bukod sa reliable and resell value wla na iba mapag malaki. 😂

i have the raptor. and hindi siya practical for city driving within manila. kasi tama yung sinabi sa video yung parking talaga. maganda siya pero mas magagamit mo yung hilux grs dito. unless para kang ako na pang offroad lang talaga yung raptor.

In terms of reliability, would you say that the ford raptor is on par with the Toyota Hilux? I'm curious because when I was in the Philippines in 2022, Toyota Hilux and the Ford Raptor are the two pickups I saw mostly on the roads. I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Both the Ranger and the Hilux are manufactured in Thailand, so I'd say the build quality and reliability index is nearly the same. Reliability depends on the usage and maintenance of the trucks. The Hilux has an advantage on parts, since the platform has been around for nearly 20 years while the Ranger now is a relatively younger platform.

Hilux is actually more cheaper than even ford’s ranger Theye have same specs except the ranger is much stronger but Hilux is better bc it’s way cheaper costing only 879k Pessos 15k dollars USD the conquest costs around 1.5M which is already a 4x4 so yeah Hilux is famous because of that

Il get a Raptor if I have a 2 or 3 car garage at home, and if im living in a wide and nice subdivision, and also if my office has a nice and wide parking slots. Otherwise, il just get a D-max or a Hilux or whatever 😂

@@ReygansRides True, but what consumers want to know is the price compared to other brands that we can buy here in the Philippines. Furthermore, I wouldn't label Raptor "affordable" at over 2.3m. And being the Philippines, this price will only go up, unlike other country's price which generally stays much the same. I also find that cars in the Philippines often lacks some features and specs compared to other countries. Hence , "one of the lowest pricing in the world". comes into play. Apart from this, I mostly agree with the rest of your video.

Interesting comment.What do you drive sir? I came from a 300hp car and I don’t miss the power as much. Sure it’s no sports car but if you’ve test driven one you won’t call it weak. If you can afford a v8, go ahead and look elsewhere

Can afford or not...... still the 2.0 fuel enjection is weaker than those 3.2 ,,, 6.2 ,5.0. The v6 like fj cruiser,,,, the ram 1500 trx... the best,,,the jeep wrangler v6 ... is thebest,,,,, NOTE,,, ALL THE PICK- UP HERE IN THE PHIL.. IS WEAKER THAN THOSE PICKUP 8N THE U.S. LIKE GMC,,,RAM, TUNDRA,, 4 RUNNER,, TACOMA,,GLADIATOR...IN TERMS OF OFF ROADING,,, THE BIG MACHINR ,THE BIG HORSE POWER IS THE ONE,,,, YOU DONT STOCK IN THE MUD,,

@@edwardjohnmontesclaros675 i think this shows u clearly dont know. fj power is 270 yes but only 380nm torque. You'd rev out the engine for the heavy weight. The many models you mention are trucks for towing, not even ideal for offroading. Wrangler sure, but you'd be paying for x2 tax here. Ur comparing apples to oranges.

It's funny that overseas Ranger Raptors are equipped with the turbo V6, but we Filipinos get it with the underpowered 2.0 diesel. But I guess it makes sense because the Hilux GR-S and the D-Max are also 2.0 diesel pickups. But I guess it makes sense because most of us will buy it for the looks more than the performance. 🛻

Hey my man - Chris from Australia. The 2 litre is awesome and I’d rather the diesel over petrol in Australia. One ‘track’ this would be perfect for is the Canning Stock Route in Australia…….its one of the remotest tracks in the world that crosses 3 deserts (2000km). Lots of corrugations, sand dunes and bumps. I have done it and would like to do it again . Diesel in remote parts of Australia is always available. There’s always a mining operation or an Aboriginal community somewhere that can help out if you get stuck …….. as long as you are diesel. This vehicle shines in areas in remote Australia where petrol just isn’t used. The vehicle doesn’t care if it’s petrol or diesel, it’s the suspension that’s the hero. I’m looking for a low km used older Raptor with the 2 litre for this reason. Have fun🤘🤘
