I drive 2007 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7 V6 4wd limited and I just passed 222K original miles and she still runs amazing but in my head I drive an SRT8 Sometimes even a Trackhawk
@@Bigmanfitness77sorry just saw this now man … I’ll tell u this I’ve had it for over 7 years and as far as reliability … perfection …. Only a starter was done besides oil changes n obvious normal maintenance
I got rid of my 07 charger srt8 a few years ago and finally got an 06 jeep last week w/80k miles. Paid under 20k. Im never letting go of this. They cost over 30k on the west coast for under 100k miles
Maybe best car that i've owned and I have had 2 of them (2006 & 2007). Currently own 2007 SRT8 and had that 7 years already. More we move into future I think this brick design will look more and more agressive:)
To my knowledge the srt badge in the front bumper is factory the chrome trim comes on the grand cherokee limited not just on srt’s. The key and interior changed in 08. The 06/07 have halogen headlights. Some 08 - 10 still have them, but they could also come with projected hid’s
I love this truck and I own a 09. You can turn the trunk lid over and keep the groceries in that area without them sliding around. And those are halogen headlights 😉 good vid 👍🏿
@@srk88 Depends on how well maintained it was. A Carfax on it would be a good start. Bought an '07 at 112k miles 5 yrs ago. Im at 139k miles now. Besides Oil&filter changes every 4000 miles I've replaced: Brake pads All 4 tires Radiator/waterpump/thermostat It's my daily driver
@@wisdomandlove1661i got my 08 SRT this month with 100k miles for 20k. I put down 6k. because banks dont like to finance 10 year old plus vehicles. got it from Virginia but i live in Southern Maryland. pricing was more than fair. Virginia is always cheaper than Maryland
Most of the changes you mentioned started in 2008. The Grenade Key, black seats without SRT8 and box, steering wheel. My 2008 have all those. Radio was different in 2008 also
I had a 2010 SRT8, silver just like this one. In 2018 I traded it in for a Trackhawk. Should of kept the Srt. Sure the Trackhawk looks better and is much faster but it cost me an arm and a leg!
I love my 07 srt bought her brand new. All original color is red rock always garage has 67000 miles. Sad to say my wife wants to sell, a buyer is coming to take a look full cash offer at 27,000. Did my last drive yesterday, my age is 71 I guess time to grow up. I agree car will be collector car. I shouldn’t complain my wife drives a 911 and also selling😢
is there a way to fix the electrical? all the lights on my dashboard flicker on and off the a/c cuts on and off too, this happens from time to time. but why? and how is it fixed?
@@fallback8314 hey I just fixed this issue on my 06 srt8. All the lights would flicker on and off as well as cut my ac on and off; it would also cause my cluster to turn off and on while the car was still on (sort of like if you were moving the key back and forth between on and off). A faulty wire wasn't making good contact to the ignition switch and the fuse box wasn't sending signal so it would cause the cluster to go crazy. Try that and also look for messed up wires on both the driver and passenger doors that are going through the door wells, I know it sounds farfetched but this is a common issue on these monsters. Let me know if that helps!
From 2006 and probably until 2010, these jeeps were in the mid five second range. Prospective buyers understand this. 420hp and 420lbs of torque is not much considering the 4800 lb weight. My 2006 charger RT with a 5.7 put out 340hp and 390lbs of torque and was 5.6. The jeep only has 80hp and 30lbs more than the charger BUT weighed 800lbs more. The extra hp and torque is completely negated by sheer weight. It’s a beautiful jeep but this will not beat the same year charger, challenger, mustang, or 2010 ss Camaro. If you want speed and performance, get a muscle car. If you need a family car, this is a good balance. Just know you’ll get stomped by the performance cars.
I previously owned an 08 Charger SRT8 and currently own an 08 Jeep SRT8. Stock for stock, the jeep is quicker but the charger is faster if that makes any sense. Weight is always an issue on the top end. But the jeep will leave most dime a dozen "performance cars" off the line with ease being AWD. And with the right mods, or a power adder, they will have a helluva time trying to catch you. The WK1 SRT8 grows more rare by the YEAR and was an instant classic. I still smile each time I see one.
With my 2 jeeps that i've owned I have done lot of testing with Racelogic and also ran in standing mile event. 0-60mph 4.3 0-100kmh 4.5 Trap speed 173kmh/108mph Standing mile went 228kmh (142mph) but this thing is not really made for that.
