Can we acknowledge that his first read was Slayton, Richie James or Hodgins. Those guys were barely wr3. Dinking and Dunking to Barkley was also a thing because no wr1 since odell... Watching Purdy do the same thing with cmc and his wr made me sick. Yet Mofos would Dride Fields who never threw over 3k. Crazy
You are criminally underatting their defensive line. DEX is the BEST IDL in the league, Burns is without a doubt top 5 pass rusher and Kayvon is still young with top 5 potential.
@@MetroSportsYTkayvon just got 11.5 sacks. Brian burns has gotten 7.5 sacks minimum every year. He got 12.5 sacks in 2022. I mean, even without having kayvon and burns, Dexter Lawrence is still undoubtedly the best interior d-lineman in the entire league
@@John_Halo_117thibodeaux has a below average pressure rate, Brian Burns was solid last year, but he’s not as good as Nick Bosa, Aiden Hutchinson, or any of the top tier pass rushers, he’s an A tier player, and Dexter might be the only one who is top tier in his respective position. A good D-Line but it’s not top 5
Philly had a dominate D line last season... how did that work for them in regards to stopping the pass? And they had two veteran corners in that secondary. We have banks, a couple of rookies that are wet behind the ears and cb2 who will be playing out of position if it's flott
While DJ was QB the OL was on pace to shatter the sacks allowed record. Time to pressure was less than 2 seconds. Some blocking would be nice before passing judgement on a guy who holds 2 NFL records.
I know some people are split on the Giants, but it all depends on how next year’s draft looks like. I personally don’t think Jones is good, but a rookie QB with hopefully Brian Daboll could do wonders with this team. There’s lots of talent on the defense, and some young guys offensively. However, Jones is going to hold them back and I think it’s gonna be a rough season. I got them at 4-13. Don’t forget, if Jones gets injured again that wipes off about another $40M off the cap space.
You going to be back if he's right? Probably a high probability that he's right. I thought he hit the nail on the head outside of the Singletary comments.
@@brianbrowm2630what drugs are you on ? Daniel jones has never been good he was a 0 star recruit out of high school losing record in high school a losing record in college and omg holy shtttt look at that a losing record in the nfl it doesn’t take a rocket scientist.
You illustrated too many positives for them to be "doomed" I'm not as down on DJ as you are but yeah, lots of people don't believe he can make it. We'll know in the early going if he is suffering any after effects from the beating he took early last season. Evan Neal is an issue of course but at least this year they have some options available if he can't cut it. I think the Giants got better on both sides of the ball and it certainly wouldn't be hard to improve on last year. They need to take a game each from the Cowboys and Eagles who each have issues of their own to overcome. I think Brian Daboll learned some hard lessons last year and I could see him bouncing back...... he's too good a coach not to. Go Giants!
If DJ is healthy and Neal blocks, we win, having Runyan play along side him is going to help. The floor is 6 wins , the ceiling is 10. So thats somewhere in the middle which is 8. The defense is going to keep us in alot of games. Playing zone, we SHOULD use Simmons more.
The Giants were horrible last season and if you watch the games, they could have easily won 3 more games with jets and bills. Barkley is a athletic freak but his stats didnt blow anyone away, singletary can get the same 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. The most athletic receiving core we have had in years. Defense will be good , it all depends on the o line and DJ
The NY Giants’ offensive line ranks 28th in the NFL by PFF In Pro Football Focus’ latest ranking of offensive lines! Unless the NY Giants prioritize upgrading the Offensive Line they will never EVER climb out of the cellar in the NFC East, never again compete nor win the NFC East, never again win the NFC Championship & NEVER EVER win another Superbowl unless they finally commit (priority #1) to building a premier OFFENSIVE LINE! Tom Brady in his prime would have had a difficult time playing behind our miserable OL! Don't believe me? Ask Jerry Reese or better yet ask Dave Gettleman... Quarterbacks can't throw when they're knocked flat on their asses... Running Backs can't run through the Offensive Line if there are NO holes! Hello? The bottom line is that the NY Giants’ Offensive Line is the weakest link in the chain (AGAIN)! Looks like 2024 is going to be another wasted year… Ownership/Management should be ashamed of themselves. Why? Because not one, ONE, top Offensive Lineman prospect was chosen in the 2024 draft…. MISTAKE! The annual Band-Aid approach to upgrade the Offensive Line has, once again, proven to be a complete failure. Clearly, drastic action must be taken if we are going to improve. To begin with, tell Evan Neal the truth, he's not an Offensive Tackle & frankly/honestly, he doesn't have the necessary talent nor necessary skills to be the starting Right Tackle for the NY Giants. Sorry... but that's the truth. So, if Neal wants to remain with the NY Giants organization, then it will be as an Offensive Guard. Period! Neal should consider this a second chance, be grateful & don’t blow it. So, work hard, focus & refine your God given skills to be the best Offensive Guard in the entire NFL. If Evan Neal can't accept the reality/truth, then it's time to move on & chalk up drafting him as a mistake, a waste & another missed opportunity to upgrade the Offensive Line.
Bro what are you talking about ? Daniel Jones is a solid QB, the problem always been the Offensive Line, this been a problem since the end of Eli Mannings career
Daniel Jones is below average. He has never in his career been a good QB. This team will not go anywhere with him as the QB barring some massive improvements
Ive seen brady, montana, peyton all the best qbs with a just a handful of games their entire career under pressure. They all looked like 5th round back up qbs lost all those games n werent even under the amount of fire with offensive weapons not near as good like eli had in his final years n DJ. You can take the best driver in the world ask him to win a race with bald tires n a transmission that slips hes not gonna win nothing
@@MetroSportsYT ever ever? I didn't compare I simply said all the best qbs would not have been great if they were under constant pressure with average n constant shuffling players at the skill positions. This is fact I've seen arron Rodgers, Brady in games when the rush didn't get within 3 yards of the QB literally 5, 6 to even 9 seconds in the pocket. You'd be hard pressed to get 3 pass plays combined for the Giants offensive line that would add up to 9 seconds of pass protection
They will be better than most think, it all depends if the O line can get back to at minimum its 2022 form. I predict 9 wins, and a possible wildcard postseason birth. Losing Saquon won’t hurt them, as he isn’t really reliable and has been on a downward trend for years now. He is definitely replaceable at his current level, and was.
9 wins is a big prediction. But I don’t think it’s entirely unreasonable. At best maybe 9, but I think it’s more likely that they won’t win more than 8
@@MetroSportsYTactually is tho dj beat him head 2 head and Trevor Lawerence is not even good people gas him up like he’s top 5 bro fell off a cliff last year
With both the Cowboys and Eagles still being good teams and Danny Derps still QB, all i know is one thing: The Giants will still be a better team than the Washington Commandos*
You have the unmitigated gall to analyze the NY Giants while wearing a Dallas hoodie!! You are probably wearing that Hoodie because you burned your Dak Prescott jersey after the Packers handed the Chokeboys their balls in that playoff game last season!
We splitting every NFC east match up my G. I think we've lost 8 straight to Dallas. If not we're taking both 2 in WSH, lose both to dallas and splitting with philly. Bih f yo 0-6 dooms day talk.
Washington is much improved, Dallas will best them twice, and the eagles are the best team in the division. I dont really think they’ll be able to compete with these teams.
