here's why your protective hairstyles are not so protective 

Hi Molly, as a child I never learnt to comb my own hair, my mother combed my hair until I got married at 21. She never put any chemicals in it either, so I was natural until I was 22. Then as an adult I couldn’t manage my hair, all I could do is put it in a bun. That was very damaging to my hair, it cost me a lot of breakage throughout the years. I would chop off my hair and just start over. Not I know better, lol.
