This will ensure best most stable and tested feature at lowest price without having to adopt the new Apple intelligence feature until they have been thoroughly testes. Next upgrade would be the 34 plus hen the 55 plus and finally the 89 plus if you live that long and your kids will be able to upgrade it to the 144 plus after you have passed on!
That might be the case for specific brand statements. But there definitely are independent studies confirming that electric ones outperform manual ones.

@@slapshotjack9806 I think the point is partly reachability, partly convenience of a smaller device. People with average/slightly larger than average hands still have to readjust their grip to get to corner opposite their thumb at the top of a 6.2+ inch screen. The mini also represents a bit of compromise from a usage standpoint that is very function forward for a lot of folks who like a productivity and messaging tool, not an entertainment/consumption device... The does a decent job of that too.

My next iPhone will be the 18. I’m really happy with my 15 Pro Max, so they would have to do something drastic to get me to upgrade this year, like full manual camera controls

Good question! The reason is because of how you hold your phone, and the fact Apple wants to push Spatial Photos (the ones that appear 3D in Vision Pro). Having a dedicated capture button is meant to encourage you to take more landscape photos. Regarding the point of the action button, that is something that already exists. If you set the action button on the 15 pros to be to open up the camera, it will double as a shutter button. But I find when trying to use it the same way as what’s described in the video, my fingers always creep into frame. Anecdotal, sure, but I imagine apple sees it the same way
@@a.n0n my s21u had some issues, not that often but it happend. Faceid never fails me and i allways forget its even there, just swipe and it really does feel like its never locked. Its really integrated too. I use it for every app and payment on the phone. Faceid feels alot better than androids faceunluck. Guess its because of all the sensors. And i enjoy swiping rather then pressing.
I completely disagree. If you have ever used an actual camera, you'll know that the shutter button is one of the main reasons why they are much easier to use than a phone. Having to touch a screen to take a photo is just annoying. And since one of the main selling points of the iPhone is that it can be a replacement for an actual camera for casual users, this just makes one of the most important iPhone features way better. Also, you can take photos much faster with an actual shutter button.
With how fast AI develops, every new iPhone is going to be the next best iPhone. These new chips plus AI, it’s gonna be hard to keep up. Older phones will probably become more obsolete sooner than we thought.
I don’t think it will require you to upgrade yearly though. To be honest, back in the day it felt like every year was a requirement to upgrade. Think back to the first 5/6 years of iPhone.

I thought a device becomes obsolete when apple stops supporting it (no more updates). Otherwise what new features do you actuall need? Majority users just take selfies, use a browser and check social media. Maybe even make phone calls too… Don’t need all that fluff to do those tasks.

Honestly when companies like beastgrip and shiftcam exist, you can literally attach a $12k professional camera lense on your iPhone and use a beastgrip to attach it to a DJI film making gimbal like the SC, or RS. I take stunning portrait photos on my 15 pro max, and it looks like with this iPhone 16 Pro Max I’m going to get, the game is improved even further.
I jus have a 13 pro and have that deal where it’s 100 bucks to upgrade every 3 years so I’m kinda excited to finally have that island thing everyone else has had forever lol

I'm so glad the 16 Pro is getting a slight bump in screen size. I have always thought the 6.1 inch screen was a bit too small for me at least. The display size increase seems to make sense to accommodate bigger camera lenses.
I wish Apple would have 4 rear cameras, a main, ultrawide, 3x optical zoom, and 5x/10x optical zoom. The phone is getting bigger so there should be enough space now.
I find it funny that my iPhones have grown up with me I had the iPhone 6 from like 11-13 years old and the iPhone 13 from 13-16 years and now the bigger 16 pro when it’s out
