Love seeing a great person like you rewarded with nice things like this. Hard work pays off. Thanks for the content you make, to let us enjoy some of it with you.
I dig it. I bumped to a 250 from a 150 shortly after getting my camper and havent looked back. Mine is a '21 Carbinized grey Tremor and i absolutely love it.
What’s wrong with the diesel option? Currently looking into buying a diesel. I don’t work construction or any heavy duty job. Wouldn’t diesel last longer?
I’m curious to why you changed the weight distribution hitch. I have a 2019 f150 and just bought a 2024 F250 and I switch back and forth with the same hitch. By the way huge difference towing my 30 ft Toy hauler with the 250. Thanks for the video.
Love it! Great color! I bought a F250 for the same reasons you give. 2011 Gas SuperDuty with long bed. Use the bed to haul more than a trailer. That's such an awesome truck. Enjoy it!
Im planning on picking my truck up on friday! im so pumped and excited! Ive never had a brand new truck before. Cant wait to take my quad out and do some camping! They sure are nice looking trucks.
Congrats on the F250 my 16 f150 3.5 had broken motor mounts at 56,000 miles our camper is only like 3500 dry, just then got a 23 f350 then at 1500 miles it was a lemon some electrical charging system fault. I just picked up a 24 F250 XLT premium package with the fx4 off road this thing is loaded evidently it was a customer order that was not picked up so I was able to get it so far after a week it is awesome
Great truck. I ordered basically same 2024 truck last July and got it in January. Love it. I really like the 7.3 Godzilla too. I tow a 33’ travel trailer with no issues. Can’t wait to see the accessories installed.
I still drive my 1978 F250 I bought in late 1977?. In fact it’s the only vehicle I have ever bought for myself. My wife has had four different family cars and vanes since we married. I hope you like your truck as much as I like mine❤️
My goal is to find another “micro” camper to tow. I kinda miss my little DIY camper and being able to keep it in the garage. I’m not going to do a roof rack or tent on this truck.
Beautiful truck brother! I still have my 2007 FX4. I have 115,000 on it and I do all the work on it and I still love it and will never get rid of it. Enjoy.
I once spoke with a Dodge engineer ( he was responsible for certifying the tow rating on their trucks) and his only upgrade recommendation was an aftermarket rear end cover and make sure to use synthetic rear end lube. When you pull up a long grade, the rear end gets no rest and he had seen rear ends with regular lube at over 250 degrees at times. He recommended an aftermarket rear cover to get more capacity. That and a good synthetic and you should be good to go for many miles. I love ford trucks and you will enjoy it a great deal.
Sweet, good call on the powered running boards, I just had to replace the motor on my wife’s Navigator and they are stupid expensive. Luckily I found a new one on ebay super cheap. Enjoy the new ride, cheers!
I am a Ford guy too. I started out with a 72 Mach I in High School that I bought and paid for myself. I have always driven a Ford and I am 66 years old. I worked in trucking most of my life and I am glad to see that you got a gas engine. Diesels require a lot of maintenance and diesel tanks can be nasty and require biocon fuel treatment for water and algae problems. Unless you’re in construction or pulling extremely heavy loads I vote for a gas engine every day. Love the look of your new truck! Congratulations on the purchase!
Nice looking truck sir. Makes total sense moving up to the F-250 for towing an RV. Sure will miss your camping videos though. Hope to see them again once you figure out what what your going to do. I’ll keep watching.
Looks great! Just ordered a F350 in carbonized grey, they told me 8-10 weeks. Have a travel trailer and want to get a bigger one or a 5th wheel and I just felt a superduty truck was the way to go. My F150 pulled it fine, plenty of power, but when it gets windy, it gets squirrelly.
Congrats Brian, definitely agree with the truck choice and engine option. Anxious to hear how it performs and fuel economy numbers when towing and solo.
Very cool! Good idea to keep the stationary nerf/step bars. It's good to have those to help protect the rocker panels, and great to step up on for short people like me. LOL I'm glad you got the bigger truck, it's not just more towing power, it's being able to stop safely with a big trailer attached. You can tow with a lot of vehicles, but when your trailer is going to push your tow vehicle instead of stopping, it's a problem. I'm into vintage trailers and I see it a lot, its scary.
Nice truck! Here's a hint about Ford. The lariat editions have more options installed than the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited editions. I found that out back when I ordered a F350 dually. Picking the Lariat gave me more installed options than the other editions did. Mine was also gas and it was rated to tow 15,000 pounds. Can't wait to see the improvements.
Congrats on the new truck! I've been shopping for a new one myself and have pretty much settled on an F350 SRW. I ruled out the diesel for the same reasons you mentioned, and I think the 7.3 gasser is a great choice.
We are living the same life… Went from a 3.5 MaxTow Ecoboost to a ‘23 F250 in February for our towing needs almost exactly like yours. RV weighs in at 8800, like you said - F150 was fine but the 250 is another level. Enjoy!
Been researching these. Did you get the heads up display? Did you max the onboard pro power option? Can you do a video on MPG? Looking forward to more videos.
Nice truck, I have a 2020 godzilla. They're awesome. Don't forget when you're in tow haul mode you can hit the minus on the shifter and drop off od gears.
Good upgrade! I kind of knew you would. You got the camper but the F150 was not quite right. But it would work, just not as well. With that said. Good job 👍
Nice looking truck. I have the 2018 f250 gas Platinum edition. I thought I was going to be pulling an RV that's why I got the 250 instead of the 150. After seeing your videos I was thinking about getting the 150. Seeing as that I never got an RV. I wish I'd have gotten to 150 because the 250 rides very rough. Looking forward to your upgrades maybe you will give me some ideas.
I laughed when I saw the title to your video. I have towed a couple campers with an F150 and went with the F250 this time for all the same reasons as you. Went with the gas engine as well. My truck is the 6.2l gasser and tows my 7,000+ lb camper great. You will find the bigger, stronger, heavier truck handles the camper noticeably better than the F150 did. Congrats.
Congratulations I was wondering how long it would be before the upgrade to a Superduty beautiful truck Mine is diesel and it’s not because I had to have a diesel but because I’ve nearly always had a diesel and resale is better basically your extra charge up front you get back in the trade price later 🤷🏼♂️
Whooo eeee !!! That's a nice truck. I switched to ford a while back after being a chevy guy. lol My 05 F150 crew cab has 487,985 miles on it. I gets abused everyday. 😂 Cant wait to see the upgrades on the F250. Great Video!!!
Enjoy the new truck. It will tow your rv easily but I did want to comment on the selecton of engines. When we first started pullin a g trailer (about 2000), I bought an F-250 crew cab with the then 7.3L powerstroke. At that time, it could be difficult to even find diesel at a fuel station as diesels were not that common. On a trip to the Upper Penisula, we were on a 2 mile long 5% grade. I had a Suburban with a similar size trailer beside in teh right lane. As we went up the hill, I never lost momentum while the suburban fell behind. That is what convinced me that if I ever towed again that I would always own a diesel. There really is not comparison between a gas and diesel. If you travel enough with your RV, at some point, you will probably wish you had the diesel. The oil changes are more expensive (interesting, my 1999 Porsche Boxster takes more oil than my diesel did) and I know you have to use DEF as well these days but other than that, it is not a big difference. Anyway, enjoy the new truck as there is nothing like a large truck.
I wish they would make the metal style again. Congratulations on your new additio. Why people just can't be happy for you in some comments. Its not like they pay your bills😅.
Exactly, diesel engines are overrated and cost a TON to work on. Gas it the way to go. Everyone has their favorite brand, gotta get what you like. Nice truck.
