I took on the boss with 19 imprinted mammoths with 74 level on a saddle and one imprinted yutyrannus and had no problems. The most damage taken was probably 3,000 health on a mammoth. They pinned him up so much he couldn't do nothing but spin half the time he didn't even attack back. And I've fought the boss 3 or 4 times now. I love my Mammoths and using them to defeat All the Small bosses and The Brood mother just cause I can.
i fking love you for that pls tell me mate what lvl are y memoth and what are the hp and dmg cause i wanna breed a freaking mammoth army now just bcs of you you are a legend according to me not the giga way but the hard earned herbivore way
Velo is by the far best strat IF you have tribemates or friends. Just hide up on the ledge with up to three people per ledge, and go ham. Works better if you have someone on a shadowmane (a good high level wild tame or bred from them, doesn't need mut) can fairly easily survive tanking aggro and kite the boss around so it's easier for both sides to hit, but this is entirely optional and just a qol, would probs be better having another velo instead for the extra damage anyways. Can do it solo with velos too but takes much longer. Gigas are great but require finding a good breeding pair which can be fairly difficult for people, and works better if can get bps for them. Velos are extremely easy to find and tame, and if you back up when you see the attack that sends stuff at you you wont take much damage even in primitive saddles. Hard part is the having friends part.
We normally do it with 2 of us, land with bats on ledge behind to left, pod bats, set two Dimetrodons on back of ledge on passive. Summon two Velos set on passive. Toss a bunch of raw meat on the velos as they will eat alot. Wear Fur, Use Curry, have 50+ fortitude, use med brews as needed (should be every so often). Have 1 person grapple to ground, start fight and grapple back up to ledge. Just shoot the rock bear a lot over next 5+ minutes. You should take no losses and get easy relic.
Just so you know, Shadowmanes can make enemies stack a damage-reduction debuff, up to 50%. So you want a mate-boosted pair of the things with 20k HP anyways, regardless of their status as damage dealers. Yes, it works for any and all sources of damage, including Bleeding and Burning effects. Needless to say, one should attempt to use Yutirannus and (if they have a tribemate) Mammoths as well, and since these are world bosses and dying isn't a problem, you may even risk going from one to another when doing it solo.
@@Le_Crook Shadowmanes do work, just bring lots of them and a Yuti, he will target the yuti but most of the time he will be trapped with shadowmanes surround him. You just need to kyte the small ones if your Yuti doesnt have enough melee to kill them.
Do this with my velo 4 times a day from the ledge he pointed out. Put all my points into melee damage and hit for about 500 a shot. If you watch for his aoe attack you can back up and never take a single hit.
I did this with the new Andrewsarchus they was imprinted with ascendant saddles and only had 3 it took like 30 mins but imprints and mutations with some levelling really helped
@@robertd40rd High level gigas usually take nearly 10 minutes to knock out I think. If you have mutton and a ton of narcotics and narcoberries, it’ll tame pretty quickly.
So as much as I appreciate your efforts in trying different things, you do this with a couple gigas. The truth is that you can take up to 30 tames to this realm, and correct me if I'm wrong but you can take cryopods with ya as well. What this means is you can basically do this with every creature known to ark as long as you bring enough strength in numbers. Granted this method will take a long time breeding all of em up. So what I would recommend is 1 Yuti and about 10 shadowmanes/rexes (if you have a hard time taming shadowmanes). This will simply kill the boss and your guys will be plenty healthy at the end. In conclusion: Gigas are good for any boss just because of the damage they deal and health they have but they are a pain in the ass to tame. Better to go a little more on the damage in numbers side and breed/tame some easier dinos and get 2x as many.
Unfortunately, I'd have to disagree and his Giga strat is actually better and more efficient because the Armor Reduction seems to be 90%. I tried my Bossing Therizi's with 19 of them with each of them bred and leveled to over 1k Melee, Imprinted, Mate Boosted and Yuty Buffed which normally deals 700-800 damage. This Bear takes only 10% of incoming damage from the looks of it, because all they did was 70-80 a Swipe, while taking lots of AoE Damage from the Rocks even with 290 Saddles. He ended up taking much longer than my Bossing runs combined, just because his effective Lifepool was 3 Million with the Armor, I'd have killed Alpha Megapithecus nearly 6 times over by that time. Meanwhile his Gigant here with just 130-140 Melee (35-47 levels) is basically equivalent to 10 of my Therizi's WITH Yuty, 2 Giga's would basically outdps my 19 Therizi's, much less 4 of them with a Yuty which is equivalent to 50 1k Melee Therizi's. There's also a lot of Knockback, which Giga's can resist, allowing consistent DPS. So, 4 Vanilla Gigant that just need a good Hp Roll and then leveled and pumped Melee and Hp VS 50 highly mutated and leveled Boss Killing Dino's (assuming all 50 could even hit the boss). You can do it with good dino's, but it's pretty obvious which is better both cost and speed wise.
I’m sure gigantopethicus will do this one no problem Jokes aside imma run this with gigas first time around then maybe try my boss theri’s, a daeodon and a yuty to see if it’s doable
@@Matheuskwo Thanks ;) You lazy cheater LOL In all fairness, I don't think I bother the alpha bosses until I can bring over my top X-Rexes with the 124 saddles. But the gamma or beta we do plan before that with server tamed and -bred armies.
How much damage do your gigas do against a regular, non-stone opponent? I'm trying to get sense of how mine would do here. Against a regular opponent with no damage reduction type abilities, my gigas do about 2.2K per bite. Also what kind of saddles did you have, roughly?
@@Cjthecheesedj Thank you, that definitely is encouraging context! (I am an extraordinarily conservative and pessimistic player when it comes to preparing for boss fights).
I beat him with 10 Rexes with 20k heath and the rest in damage and 1 yuti. I love the arena because I put the rexes around in a half circle so they could surround him when he can out.
@@mateomoffette About 4 minutes. They all lost about 3-4k health which wasn’t bad at all. It was so easy since they surrounded him so his effects were small. Lol
This won't really answer your question, but I just now went in with a high level Carcharo, 3 high level Rexes, 2 high level Allos, and an assortment of other low to mid level Rexes along with some Deinonychuses and got murdered. My high level Rexes and Carcharo put up a fight and lasted a bit but in the end they just couldn't do enough damage. I'm not sure how different things would be if it were all Carcharos though.
Not sure if you’ve figured out yet or someone’s told you. There are 3 spawns for gigas on Fjordur. 1 in the oil field area on the volcano island, another just West of the green obelisk and a 3rd on the Eastern coast of the bigger landmass (base map) close to the aberrant cave. All also have chances of being R-Gigas
I'm on an unofficial ps server with crazy rates . . I've noticed he isn't the hardest, just the most tankiest. I have 4 shadowmanes that have 60,000 melee (i told you it was boosted lol) and they melt Beyla and the Wolf brothers, but ice bear doesn't do much damage but it does take longer then the other two/three
Me: Seeing Gigas in his inventory. Oh crap, this is gonna be harder then expected Also would spinos, or therizinos be good? Spinos would have around 40k health and around 700 damage claw swipe. Because I reeeaaallly dont want to tame gigas. Edit: ooookkk nevermind after seeing a rex do 13 damage, I'm going to have too tame gigas...
U dont even need a dino for that boss. Just blast it with any tek weapon and u good. Can use tek jetpack or grapple to ceiling. Also on ark additions brachiosaurs will destroy it in a couple mins with stomps.
I fought him with Rex’s the only reason I won is cuz he got stuck in the Rex I was riding and was just spinning not able to do anything not any attacks😂😂😂
