Sheldon and Scanty, you forgot to consider and mention the fact that; the reintroduction of road tolls is also going to have a cause an increment in public transport fares as well, because the "Trotro" drivers and taxi drivers ply those roads countless times in a day.

They are trying to balance their budgets that's why they are bringing the tolls back, so that they will say "People cried in 2024 but check the records we balanced the budgets or made a surplus"

The biggest problem is accountability of the money collected - it doesn’t matter how much money you collect from the citizens - if you cannot account for the money then it means either folks are stealing or gravely mismanaging!!
The only thing I have to say about this topic is that this is a vivid example of how officials of this government have no shame and see the rest of us as fools. I remember the spirited defence these people mounted when they decided to cancel road tolls. I said it from the beginning that this was a scam, and it was just a matter of time. The tolls would be reintroduced. They knew exactly what they were doing from the word go
From independence 1957 to 2016 public debt was ¢122bil...2016 to date just 7yrs counting over ¢624bil accumulated public debt added on now public debt is ¢746bil...I estimate year end we will hit ¢1Trillion public debt. Somebody must be held accountable or else the precedent set would make future governments more unaccountable.
They have increased the price for the road tolls. Mind you, last year new prices were released even though it wasn't in use. I was shocked but I understand now.

Wow! Sheldon! Well done! I never understood that myself. In a democratic society you should be able to say I support party A without any fear of repercussions and also be able to criticize party A when they introduce policies and bills that don’t serve the people. Most Ghanaians have blind bipartisan loyalty and are hypocrites as you said.
