In this inspiring video, I will show you the process of making silicone molds at the request of one of you.
It was a bit of a strange wish - to keep a part of the decorative element from the house for future generations.
In the first step, Ms. Jiřina gave me a part of the decorative element that he wished to keep. Mrs. Jiřina wanted this part to be faithfully replicated, so she turned to me thanks to the videos she saw on my RU-vid channel, where I have been making silicone molds for a long time.
First, it was necessary to find a suitable silicone mass for this purpose.
For the purpose of casting, I used GMS A10 additive silicone.
Before the actual production of the entire mold, I tested the reaction of the additive silicone on the cast element itself on a part of the material.
He cleaned the ornament and continued on.
The next step was the preparation of the silicone mass. So mix everything correctly, component A and component B. So it is a mixture that will serve as a mold.
GMS ATX (accelerator accelerator) was used for acceleration.
He then applied the mixture to the decorative element.
After the first part of the silicone mold hardened, I gradually moved on to the next part, until the mold reached the desired shape and thoroughly covered the details of the decorative element.
After the silicone mold had completely dried, the decorative element was carefully removed. The newly created form perfectly represented its shape and details.
At the end, the mold was available to Mrs. Jiřina, who now had a completely unique and original replica of her decorative element. This form allowed her to create more copies for her future generations.
This custom silicone mold making process is a great way to preserve and share precious and important items for the future. Whether it's art objects, decorations or heirlooms from loved ones, the silicone mold allows you to create copies of them and thus preserve important objects for future generations.
