Great video! I have inherited a lot of my grandparent's photos, which also includes photos of my great grands, 2nd greats and even some 3rd greats, as well as their children and extended families. I was originally going to do one heritage album but realized I had too much info and photos for one album. My next idea was to do at least 3. One for my grandfather's side of the family, one for my grandmother's side of the family and one for my grandparents and their life together. The only problem is I can't figure out to how to organize the album of my grandparent's life together. I had thought to do it chronological but I have tons of pictures of them and family that span over 60 years, which include a lot of photos that he had sent my grandmother during WW2 (He was in the Navy). Do you happen to have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any help. My photos are roughly organized by family. I have two large boxes that hold 2400 photos, 2 photo cases which hold 1600 photos, two smaller creative memory boxes, and several normal photo boxes. Thanks again for any help.
That sounds like amazing projects! I wouldn't get too far if I had to scrap this chronologically. I would start making pages with like photos (photos that you can tell are from the same event or time). Unless you scrap events immediately keeping up chronologically can be analysis paralysis. Start putting completed pages in albums that are the D ring type. Then moving pages around at a later time is easier. If there are a lot of Navy photos, you may want to make an album of just those. I've seen some albums that have the military insignias on them. If you can even group pix by decades, you are doing good!!! Don't let too much thinking get in the way. When you get in the "groove" it will feel right. You can even put an explanation of why you grouped things the way you just to pass on your train of thought. This is a great project and the important thing is to start. The fact that you are starting off with "roughly" organized is better than most. I wish you all the best! You CAN do this!!! D😃🥳
@@dotsscrapbooking I appreciate that. I might have to do more albums than I thought. A lot of the pictures on my grandfather's side of the family are tiny, including many of the Navy photos. Some are about the size of a quarter (smaller than Wallets). I may put them in the album about his childhood and do another album for his parents and their families. I have a lot of pictures of my great grandparent's siblings, cousins, Aunt's and Uncle's as well as their parents and some of their grandparents.
