Great voices! I was a childhood fan of heritage singers. My father got their tapes and used to play heritage songs on our radio. I really love their songs! 🥰 Amazing voices!
I've known HS since I was a baby (my parents converted when I was one years old ) . I remember laying in my cot and knowing it was sabbath because of Heritage Singers playing in the background, and I remember knowing South Africa was a dangerous place but I always acknowledged God's presence and his protection whenever I heard Heritage Singers ❤. Today I'm 27, and I would love to audition, but unfortunately live in Portugal . Where's Tim Davis?

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a Heritage Singers performance where I’ve thought about unsubscribing from their channel due to my anger and resentment. I started my life in the SDA church. My father died when I was 8 years old. He committed suicide. The church didn’t know how to handle it and my entire family were completely ostracized. There wasn’t even a notice in the church record of his death. I got told as an 8 year old by some people that suicide is a sin and because my father had committed suicide and couldn’t repent of it he was going to hell. We ended up leaving the church but at this point I was still attending a SDA school. Classmates found out that we were attending church on a Sunday instead of a Saturday and told us that because we were attending church on a Sunday that we were devil worshippers. We ended up leaving the school as well. I tried going back to the church that I had attended as an 8 year old when I was 17. I ended up being sexually assaulted by a church elder. He had been a friend of my father’s and therefore I had known him as a young child. He groomed me and even though he knew that my father molested me he took advantage of my vulnerability and also abused me. I had come to see him as my adoptive father and the day of the assault I stood up in front of the entire church and told them all that I had found my adopted father in him. Then only a few hours later he did what he did to me. He sucked my nipple. It was the week before my trial HSC which in my country is the final exams before you finish school. I went to the police the very next day after it happened. Told them what had happened to me. Once they discovered I hadn’t bathed or showered they sent me to the hospital to have dna samples taken and my bra as evidence. Initially the perpetrator said that people had always had something against him and was making me tell lies. Then the dna results came back as a 99.9% match. After that he was allowed to plea out and was given an 18 month suspended sentence and a two year good behavior bond. It ruined my life. The police investigation went from July of 2004-until March of 2005. Which covered my trial HSC, my HSC and going into the following year. I had plans to be an au pair, nanny overseas and I wasn’t allowed to do so as I had an ongoing police investigation. Not only that but I also told the minister of the church what had happened to me. Who believed me and immediately sacked the person from the position of elder in the church. And after the police investigation was over and my perpetrator moved interstate the same minister called the church interstate and let them know what had happened at his church and he was sacked there as well. Not only that but I also held them accountable financially as well. At least as much as I was able to. I’m on a pension. I don’t have all the money in the world just to be able to sue. I went through the churches redress process between February-June of last year. Got less than 50,000 but a lawyer who I selected and the church paid for advised me to take the payment. I’m not allowed to say exactly how much I got cause I signed an NDA. It was enough to pay for a lot of things but also not so much that it’s all gone now. I also gave permission for Adsafe to go around to different church ministers to teach them how to handle disclosures in an appropriate manner by using MY STORY as an example. After this I was done with the SDA church and religion in general. It had done nothing but harm me and I realized I wanted nothing to do with it. Except for Heritage Singers. For some reason I have continued to keep them in my life throughout the years. But hearing them sing tonight about a loving god just made me so angry and resentful. Having received my formal letter of apology from the SDA church leadership last week I know more than most that the church is full of monsters and predators. I have never once had a positive experience with the church and especially the SDA denomination. It’s just been judgement and abuse. I don’t know why I’m even leaving this comment. It’s probably going to end up getting deleted. I’m gonna stay subscribed to the channel but I don’t think I’m going to watch any of the videos for a while

How terrible an experience. It's unfortunate that even in the church the enemy uses people to do utterly evil things. I'm very sorry this happened to you. Only Christ can fill that void of pain in your heart and he will if you let him. He loves you more than anything or anyone can after all. Sounds cliche, but it's how it is. Life here is temporary but he promises to be with us through all of it. I'm sure you already know that. I really appreciate that you shared your testimony. Love from Botswana 🇧🇼
It’s interesting you’re choosing knight666! Is that mean something? We’re all sinners and that’s why we need Christ into our lives. The world we’re living it’s satan possession and only Jesus can help us to go through all the trials. Let the victory of Christ living into your life not the world nor frustration of church people. We’re save by grace of God not religion itself it’s our relationship with Jesus. Religion is the fundamental of faith and belief as Jesus said “if you love me keep my commandments”..”love me with all your heart and with all your soul with all your strength and thyself as thy neighbor.. angry it’s not from God, forgiveness and give unconditional love to those who against nor persecute you. Give it to God and you’ll find peace and joy! God be with you.
No prublem about singing but please study the upcoming events that was about to huppen enside the church please study Daniel chapter two and revelation chapter seven. For it will happen leteraly according to elen g white.
Why do we give importance to denominations beats me! Let's take delight in the songs. When we place denominations first and foremost and above Jesus, this should immediately tell you your denomination is misleading. Anyway, we all have our opinions. Here in India we're ready to worship together no matter what denomination. Let's not be hypocrites
