Heritage Singers - Jesus Is the Lighouse (Full Álbum) 

Love the light house it is one of my favorite songs on the album.

We attended one of their concerts at the SDA church in Eureka, CA in 1976, when I was 6 or 7 years old.... Right afterward, my mother busied herself buying their recent albums in the foyer, including this one... While she was doing that, I ran back in and 'rushed' the stage to meet Max, Jim, Dick, Val, and the rest... I was so stricken, and I wanted to meet them! So I was up there, as a very young, new fan, talking to them... and my mother suddenly made her way up and grabbed my arm, apologizing to them for me.. I remember her embarrassed tone, saying, "He's a real go-getter," as she pulled me away from them. They didn't seem bothered at all, and I was pretty upset that she'd cut my social interaction with them short. But I never forgot those moments! It meant so much to me.

I grew up with those God Inspired Songs. The World was a Better place when in Church and out These Songs were Number One on God's Children s Lips....

Used to listen to this repeatedly in the early 70s after having surrendered my life to Christ. It was a new kind of music but the words and harmonies were very powerful.

I worked in Christian radio from 1978 until 1996. The Heritage Singers albums from the mid-late 1970s are some of my all-time favorites, and I still listen often to this day (2022). We played them often on the radio in the 1980s, but it trailed off as musical tastes changed in the 1990s.

The Lord gave me a vision of a lighthouse in darkness and at the base was the number 717 and it was shinning. I came on RU-vid searching and found this beautiful song. Just as the lighthouse shines its light through the darkness to guide the sailors at sea just so Jesus Christ is our light and will safely guide us through the darkest of storms in this life and He’ll soon lead His children home to be with Him. ✨🙌👑👆🌌 🧡
