This is my salvation message in song. White-knuckled, gripping the pew at Donelson First Baptist Church, Donelson, Tennessee. I was 23. The Pastor said, just take one step and He will direct the rest of your steps. Makes me weep to this day. I wept as I walked to the altar. Praise The Lord, my precious Savior!
Whoever is reading this and if you're not save now is the time yes I'm talking to you accept Jesus christ as your saviour now Jesus christ loves you and so do I blessings
The Savior is waiting to enter your heart Why don't you let Him come in There's nothing in this world to keep you apart What is your answer to Him . Time after time He has waited before And now He is waiting again To see if you're willing to open the door Oh how He wants to come in . If you'll take one step toward the Savior, my friend You'll find His arms open wide Receive Him, and all of your darkness will end Within your heart He'll abide . Time after time He has waited before And now He is waiting again To see if you're willing to open the door Oh how He wants to come in
This is my parents’ go-to English song whenever they are asked to sing at church. Both my parents are suffering from COVID-19 and my mom is hospitalised. In our country, because of the coup and Covid , it’s difficult to go back home, not being able to look after them , take care of them , be with them ache my heart. May the lord’s healing, peace and favour be upon our family l. Amen.

THE SAVIOR IS WAITING The Savior is waiting to enter your heart Why don’t you let Him come in? There’s nothing in this world to keep you apart What is your answer to Him? What a shame that the message of the Saviour's grace, waiting for the very last sinner to come to him is lost on those arguing about the use of makeup! The message is about a glorious Saviour with Amazing Grace waitng for sinners to turn to him for salvation. Beautifully sung by serious and amazing God centred people who are pure in heart worshipping Him and carrying out his instruction to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth.
I haven't read any message about makeup, but I have to admit, I was shocked when I saw that face at the beginning of the video. It's right in your face. You can't miss it. I think that what's at contention in speaking of that heavy makeup is not the makeup itself, but the heart of the one who thought that kind of makeup was appropriate as "Worship" to God. It IS about the "serious and amazing CHRIST-centred people" who are "pure in heart." THAT is the real issue. Are we in love with God, and wanting to glorify HIM.......or are we too interested in the things of the world and acting and looking like them? I use makeup all the time, but the difference is, I don't LOOK like the world. I'm not strutting around with satanist/witchcraft/Illuminati inspired red lips. I half expected to see her with red talons, as well. How is that bringing glory to God???? You can sing like an angel but if there is compromise in your life, it's all for naught. When we sang this in our churches in the 70s, noone would have DARED show up looking like a prostitute or a Jezebel, like this woman with her dark red lipstick. She may think she looks appropriate, but she looks shameful. God, in the OT went over and over how those who were responsible for carrying out His duties in worship were to be holier than the rest of the people. How is this holy? How does this bring glory to God? All it does is take AWAY from what you think is the message of those "pure in heart" worshipping Him. You can argue this point as the day is long, but it will never change the fact that the Word exhorts, no, COMMANDS us to "come OUT of them and be ye SEPARATE." THIS is not separate. This is compromise. When you put yourself up on display, then you are held at a higher standard. This is a LOWER standard! That's what happens when your religion compromises with the world. You are no longer able to SEE the Truth. That's why homosexuality is accepted in the church today instead of strictly condemned AS THE WORD OF GOD COMMANDS. There is no longer ANY respect in regards to what the WORD says. To what GOD says. You put words in His mouth and say, "Oh God loves everyone. He doesn't require obedience to the Bible. That's old fashioned." Actually, he DOES require obedience, and He said that He came, "to bring a SWORD," not a feel-good message of phony deceit and lies from the pit. And then the absolute SHAMING of the person who brought it up. Typical worldly liberal behavior. Again, that's what happens when you compromise with the world! If we are not different from everyone else in the world, as He commands us to be, then how are we to attract others to Him? If we are so busy blending in, we have LOSTour saltiness. And the Bible tells us we are good for nothing but to be tossed out. If that is your true motive, then just feature the singing, and not the Jezebel-looking women wearing worldly applied, devil worshipping looking lipstick. I will not respond and be dragged into an argument. I am simply telling you what MY Bible says. We can finish this argument on that last day before God.
I do not even think there is a problem with the use of Makeup. As long as one does not overdue it and really make a clown of yourself, then it's nine out of ten not acceptable. As woman we need to make ourselves as woman feel good for ourselves, not for the person in the street or church, but for you. Really. Keep your eyes upon Jesus. He is not there to hit and abuse you over a bit of makeup. I feel it's like dressing up. One can do it wrongly by showing our bodies as woman to the world as toooo sexy and will God be happy about that. Dress nice and use your makeup.
HAPPY SABBATH, Heritage Singers! Yes, this song made me closer to God more than ever---Come with me to the promised land that the Lord has prepared for each one of us. Yes, Jesus is coming back soon. He is ready to take His own people who loves Him so much. Are you one of those? Please I appeal......
Still listening in 2020. Heritage singers blesses me. Lord may we ever seek you and open the doors of our hearts to accept you. May we truly learn to worship God in Spirit. We are too focused on things that don't matter. We are too judgemental and always want to find fault, I pray God can show us the speck in our eyes.
The Savior is waiting. while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13). But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20). Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.(Revelation 3:20). I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.(Revelation 3:8). Thank you God JC, H.Singers all GBU:)
Amen I heard a story of a great painting in a museum in England and it has Jesus standing at a door with ivy and growth all over it. And a critic came and said “Ah hah! I’ve found a mistake! There’s no handle in this painting.” The painter replied “Well yes, there’s a handle. It’s just on the inside...” He’s not sitting, but standing and ready to go..

Beautiful message in song. Sometimes we need to close our eyes and allow the Holy Spirit to do his work. Just the way I remembered the song sung growing up. Thank you for this blessing.

If the Savior is waiting to enter the heart of a dead man, how long will He wait? Ephesians 2:1-7 (ESV) 1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Verse 1 tells us that the unsaved person is dead in sin. Verse 2 tells us this same person is walking according to the course of this world; speaking of an unrepentant lifestyle. Verse 3 tells us this unsaved person is by NATURE a child of WRATH. They want nothing to do with God. And verse 4 tells us that when WE WERE DEAD, God made us alive. Zero nonsense about Jesus knocking on the door of our hearts. And don't appeal to Revelation 3:20; it is addressed to the backslidden CHURCH in Laodicea. Paul has already shown who does what in salvation in Ephesians 1: Ephesians 1:1-6 (ESV) 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. Verse 4 says God chose us, verse 5 says He predestined us. Where is the idea that we chose Him? Romans 8 is the nail in coffin of horrendous theology put forth in this song: Romans 8:7-8 (ESV) 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. For the sake of argument, let's assume that the unsaved man has the free will this song supposes. Let's say that Jesus is longing to come in, but can't. Would it be safe to assume that Jesus would be pleased by such an action? Of course. But Paul just told us that the mind set on the flesh, the unsaved person, is hostile to God, does not, AND CANNOT submit to God's law. Those who are in the flesh, unsaved, cannot, repeat cannot please God. If the Savior waited to enter the dead heart of the unsaved, He'd never make it.
Nunya, your hard stand on the Calvinistic teaches is correct however you seem to forget the flip side of those teachings. We do not know who the elect are nor when the spirit will move them to repent therefore the savior will continue knocking until the person repents. Our job is to plant seeds, someone else is to water and another to harvest. Your comment drives a wedge between people. Get them saved and when they walk through the church door and turn around they will see the sign " Gods elect". Peace to you my brother.
Error. The last post put in several punctuation s not intended. Try. EX. 20 26. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
Truly, our Savior is waiting for you to turn yourself and accept His invitation to you-- in order for you to be save and enter His beautiful Heavenly Kingdom in the future. Please I appeal to you. Come to Him now. Follow His Ten Commandments, including the 4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8), which states ---REMEMBER the Sabbath day to keep it holy, as we wait for His second coming.
the friends drag the dead to Christ. The angels grabbed Lot and family to escape the fire, the escorts of Naaman pleaded with him to dip himself in the water, Mary and Martha pleaded with Jesus to come to Lazarus. Jesus loves to see a community involved in the salvation of each individual. Moses would keep praying for the people, Abraham kept praying for the people of Sodom
JERRY DOBSON: Very good and sensitive. I may not have been as generous. 1 Peter 3:2-4 or I may even made references to the harlot in Rev. 17 & 18. I do not wish to judge the heart and for that reason I become angry with myself because I have sinned so often and pleaded for God to have mercy. On the other hand it is important to me that my church family be not classified with the great harlot. Let me make a comparison. I have not been in church, The Assembly of God For many years.....
I don't see the makeup problem. Any person on stage looks better to the audience with makeup on. Without it they look pail and washed out. If makeup is that big a problem to you then you missed the point of grace. We are not talking about David Bowi here. Get your heart on the message not stage makeup.
Doug Anthony.. But what is on the inside is reflected outside...As much I love these singers they must also show that there is no need of any extra addition of beauty to what God has already given. In a way we are mocking God that He have not done a good job while creating us.
Where do I begin? Let's start with Romans 8:7-8: Romans 8:7-8 English Standard Version (ESV) 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. If the Savior wants to come into my heart, He's got a long wait. Paul says that those who are in the flesh cannot please God. They are not able. Romans 9:14-18 English Standard Version (ESV) 14 What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! 15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. Verse 16 says that God's mercy in salvation depends not the the human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. Ephesians 2:1-6 English Standard Version (ESV) 2 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus... So, let me get this straight. I'm dead in sin, by nature a child of wrath, doing what I want to do, and all of a sudden I'm going to "ask Jesus into my heart"? Not what Paul says. Paul says that when I was dead, God raised me up. Salvation is God's doing from first to last. We are saved by grace, through faith, and the faith is a gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 English Standard Version (ESV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. This song is so full of bad theology it makes my ears bleed.
I don't think its full of bad theology, it encourages that decision of when you want to fully surrender to Jesus and let him into your heart, and actually follow and be a disciple of him.
How can anyone enjoy a song that flies in the face of Romans 8:7-8, Ephesians 2:1-10, Romans 9:14-16? My exegesis will not permit me to leave this lyric unchallenged. Error set to music is still error. Show me where the Bible says that the Savior is waiting to enter my heart and I'll stop rebutting this song. It's a good thing Jesus didn't wait on Lazarus to invite him into the tomb, or it wouldn't have happened.
Jerry Dodson I've had many a discussion about this. Common thread was the cherry picking of verses/chapters (Like above), grossly taken out of context, that supposedly 'prove' a viewpoint (Calvinism). Yet those verses fly in the face of the whole theme of Scripture, in which man fell, and God sent His Son to die for ALL of us, so that we may choose him as a Savior. I'm sorry you have such a distorted view of a loving God. Wish you get to know Him truly.
Maybe for you.... Would it be better coming from a donkey? People are discouraged, fearful and heartbroken and this is the message you leave... EVERY IDLE WORD will be taken into account in the Judgment...please remember that.
CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS POST; I was just commenting that the ways of the world has come into the Adventist church and I think the reason is by the example before us....when I read from EX 20:26 God told men how to dress in His house . It does not say in so many words for priest to ware long clothing but if you look it is stated. CONTINUE TO NEXT POST...
