Hearing this song brought back so many memories for me! I was attending a Bible college that was, in hindsight, very abusive. The highlight of my week was to go church. Often, on Sunday nights, the high school choir would sing this song and hearing it then (and now) was a balm in Gilead for me. Thank you so much for uploading it!
A true Ralph Carmichael classic absolutely, beautiful so pure and lovely, yes, that is all we need to do, love God , and love your neighbour, that's it.
My fave solo song y the epic performance of mine during our middlePhilippinesConference United Methodist Church circa 1979; I played the guitar y sung…my gf plays the piano …omg…TY
This song popped in my head early this morning. I hadn't thought of this song in at least 30 years... So I had to do a youtube search and listen to it. This was a vary good presentation of it. I'm looking for a Sourthern Gospel arrangement. And ofcouse the harmony is great.
I've loved this song for years. It used to help me sleep. I love it so much. Every single part. Thank you so much for uploading this. I always come back to listen to it.
The definitive rendition of a Ralph Carmichael classic, its musicality only enhanced by the simplicity of the recording technique. The layering of voices and guitar is genius, pure art.
The perfect song. Apr 14th I will be speaking at a ladies retereat on Practicing the Presence of God. This song came to mind to use in the talk. I "googled" it and came up here. I'd really like to get to the file so I can make a CD of it to use in the talk on "How to do a quiet time". Can you help me do this? This was a popular song in the 70's. Beautiful.
