Reminds me of an hospital in cologne-Bonn area. They have a network we're robots we're moving around Transporting goods. They would enter elevators as well but those elevators often did not have any callbuttons but were controlled by the control center. Cool stuff.

The way the bedding itself is packaged and the moving tracks continue outside the lift makes me wonder. Could this be part of a full bed sterilization machine kinda like a car wash but for hospital beds?

It’s very interesting but I’m struggling to see the purpose/point…. We bring beds up in the larger staff/service elevator if we need to but usually they have patients in them,if they are just moving empty beds I’m missing something? I mean they were brought from the basement empty at one time but rarely do we need more added to what is already there…just confuses me the need for something like this 🤷🏻‍♀️

likely cheaper than a full blown elevator with all its safety precautions and need for a certain capacity and speed.

It looks like it's part of some kind of production line environment. Possibly they service the beds on one level and then move them to the upper level ready for redeployment.

I used to work in a hospital’s service area. We prepared/disinfected/cleaned beds in the basement and sent them to rooms. the only difference is that we had a conventional freight elevator. Beds can be disinfected immediately in rooms but I find this system much better, especially during the Covid when you need to clean beds thoroughly.
