On you, this Birkin looks fantastic. It looks very masculine and you carry it effortlessly. Not everyone can rock it like you. I think you carry off very expensive things well without making yourself look "self absorbed". Love your style.
For all the judgy people in the comments: In this day and age, how is a bag too feminine? Everyone is entitled to their form of style. Rock it if you can afford it!
OMG, we have the same exact color! My B is 35cm in Togo leather with gold hardware. The video doesn't showcase the beautiful color of our bags, but in person, it's a gorgeous, rich color that I simply adore. I accessorized mine with multi-colored twilly with bright yellow, gold and a bit of orange - matched my B so well!!!
This Birkin is so fantastic. Especially the color! I'd like to hear more of your shopping experience from Paris store. This is what my local Hermes tells people who want to buy Birkin: 1. One year of shopping history with them. 2. Total purchasing-$10,000 at least. Your Birkin looks so good with all your outfit from this video. More to come?
I'm about to publish my video about my Birkin experience and tips on how to score one at the flagship store in Paris. I'll probably have more styling videos/pics and a what fits/usage experience video. Stay tuned! 😊
Stunning Birkin 40 and very unique color! Man you have excellent taste. Any chance for a jewelry collection video? Enjoy your beautiful items in the very best of health!
SartorialPhil if you leave the plastic protector on, the glue on it will ruin the hardware. Because it may melt with storage or because of the weather, resulting in discolouration or it getting stuck and having to be scratched off.
The suit with the Birkin is so European and elegant! Love it on you! I'm about 5'8 and a guy, so I'm debating whether to get 35CM or 40CM. What would you recommend still? For everyday use?
Thank you! I would say it depends on what you're planning to carry and if it will fit (like a large laptop). If it's something you want to use everyday, maybe the 35 might actually be better. While I said the regular Birkin is a better everyday bag than the HAC version, I probably still won't be wearing this everyday to work - maybe a couple times a week and retrospect, if I bring it to parties a 35 might work better. BUT, the 40 seems to look less like a purse, which isn't necessarily an issue, but I'm not typically a fan of small bags and find it doesn't work as well on my frame. Hope that helps
I have the HAC 50 and the 55. In Togo leather with palladium hardware. The 40 seems a bit more for a girl or a smaller frame guy. I’m 6’1 weighing 220 pds athletic build. I ALWAYS get compliments on mine when I’m off to work or traveling. I use the 50 for work and both the 50 and 55 when traveling.
The same day I got my Birkin I took it outside and beat it completely off the driveway for a good, 25 to 30 minutes now it actually looks like something and it’s worth carrying. I get more compliments on it than I ever would’ve had. I left it all pristine, carrying it like you couldn’t breathe on it. I spent the money I’m gonna use the damn thing.
You have great taste.I bought the exact same bag and color 5 years ago ,and use it all the time.Of course my wife takes it from time to time. She loves it as well. The color is the best it goes with everything.Dont baby it use it.
Congrats on the bag. Use orange shields if you want to protect all the hardware. And if you leave the lock on the turning mechanism then the leather will have a weird smiley mark on the leather!
Thanks for the info! I plan to leave most of the current plastic protector on lol, but may repurpose some screen protectors. Thanks for the tip about orange shields! It seems they don't make a set for the size 40? Or maybe it's the same as the 35
The proportion looks great on your body. Could I ask how tall you are? I'm trying to decide between a Birkin 35 and 40 and having a reference would really help.
None, that's too China lookish. The sweater and the suit outfits look better, though the suit is too shiny in my opinion. Rodeo charm is awesome! I have one charm on my Stefano Ricci bag, which is quite similar to Hermes Birkin bag in status that is.
You must be a very tall person. I am 5.9 inches and I carry a B 35 Etoupe Togo. Sometimes I want to sell it as I get older and it is indeed too heavy. I really enjoy my LV pieces more. But I never find the courage to sell it because I know I’ll regret it.
I don't have any experience with the HAC 50, just briefly tried the HAC 40 along with this Birkin 40. I would just say that it's really tough to use an HAC as an everyday bag because it can carry a lot and is quite wide, so can keep brushing up against your leg as you walk. If I remember correctly, there are not internal compartments in the HAC or at least no zippered pocket
I would have gotten a smaller Kelly with a shoulder strap if I had the choice today. It really depends how much you intend/need to carry with this bag.
the bag is beautiful and w the blue suit it looks great- the cartier ring is also stunning- would u wear a Hermes belt w a silver H on it - it would look so nice on u with the matching birken. How much is HVAC in USD
Thank you! The Hermès H belt is not really my style, but I do want the new Nathan style. The HAC 40 is probably around $14,500/$15,000 USD. This is the the regular Birkin 40, which I read is $14,000 USD in the same leather.
Hi Phil, I trust you are well. I hope I don’t sound disrespectful while asking this, but would you consider selling yourBirkin at all? I remember watching another video of yours where you mentioned you were after a black B or K, as opposed to this copper colour? Do let me know :) Thank you!
office files, phone, keys, wallet, ipad, a good book, pocket umbrella... whatever you would not keep in your pockets because it would be too big.... this is an excellent day bag for a man in 40 cm.
Yes, same name @SartorialPhil. I would love a black one and interestingly I've been looking at the Jypsiere again, likely the smaller one as an everyday bag
@@SartorialPhil Mine is 34 in Etoupe, perfect to me cause fits even a Macbook Air and my full size iPad, sometimes even a Voss bottle of water plus card holder, phone, charger... Jypsiere is super versatile, can't recomend enough.
@@SartorialPhil Perfect size, did u ever consider a Berline? It's beautiful especially in smaller sizes, the flap is tinier than the Jypsiere and I think is more casual for daily but still sharp... I'm consider one in a smaller size, but here in Brazil this bag is so rare. Maybe in my next trip abroad
Thanks! This color is the Cuivre, it's very close to a terra cotta color, but on Togo leather, changes saturation/brightness depending on the lighting.
