I think Christine Nagel made a wonderful creation! This is one awesome fragrance! I sprayed it on the back of my hands. The citric-clean-fresh accords raised as a perfect match for Hermessence Santal Massoia (1 spray, inner elbows), Un Jardin Sur Le Nil (1 spray, chest) and Eau des Merveilles (1 spray, each side of my neck). This Hermes set makes me feel as if I'm deeply relaxing and vibrating, as I'm walking around hynotic vertical green gardens on the streets of Sao paulo. THUMBS UP for Hermes H24!
Comparing it to Versace Dreamer, I realized it's also in the same vein as Dior Dune. Both of these are prettier than H24 in my opinion. After all, why would someone want to smell like hot ironed shirts?
I bought a bottle after watching the collab video between Justin, Grace, Andrea and Ross on rating new fragrances. I managed to get it directly from Hermes' website so got lucky I did before it sold out. I like this fragrance a lot. I didn't have any Hermes fragrances in my collection so I bought the Terre d'Hermes as well because everyone raves about it. Enjoyed this video and really look forward to your reviews on new and past fragrances.
Cool review, its interesting to see the changes from your first impressions video. Hermés did make clear H24 was created with an artistic approach via close collaboration with the artistic director of the mens ready to wear collection which is rather different approach to your mainstream ambroxian bomb, hence why its so different and divisive, but no surprise as thats Hérmes being Hérmes. :)
Really nice editing of the video! I like H24 and right now as it is still cold outside, I especially use it at nighttime. It is really calming and the floral smell helps to relax. Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Hi Chris fair review on this one, nothing special, I don’t love or hate it only wore it once felt it was gone within 2 hours so shrugged it off as a dud, however a hour later I to my surprise got 2 compliments in quick succession, I was bamboozled so hell I really don’t know ?.do you think it acts like the molecule fragrance, that others smell it better than the wearer can ,weird. cheers brother be safe, peace out ✌️
Thanks for this fair review. The beginning and mid parts are to my humble opinion the most interesting of the scent. Hermès will have to improve on performance. Maybe that will be the case with the edp. But all in all that’s a nice fragrance. Hope it will meet Terre success without replacing it.
Hello Chris love your work. As summer is around the corner it would be great to know some. Affordable summer frags , one suggestion from my side Kenneth Cole black .love your work keep it up man
A great review Chris! Props for the accent grave in the title. 😄 As for the pronunciation, I can almost hear Clemence grinding her teeth. 🤣 Personally, I think it'll be much like Zara (pronounced dzah-dah or tha-dah depending on where you are in Spain) - a lost cause in perpetuity. As far as their fragrances....meh. There's a new Alberto Morillas line that they just came out with though. Might not be too bad. And Jo's Rhubarb kicks butt. No THAT'S a spring fragrance.
Would love to get my nose on this one, the note breakdown and walkthrough sound quite interesting. Metallic and floral combination seems quite novel... I hope it doesn't morph into a very synthetic-feeling "fresh" scent (much like Door Savage does).
I guess the minimalist approach to this fragrance might be attributed to Hermes’ desire to target the Asian market? I wonder what you think about this.
Smells nothing like clean washed clothing. Starts off quite well, but then dies down pretty quickly. A nice floral fragrance but there's a note in the middle which is a bit pungent. Apart from that, it's nice but not a beast mode scent and one that won't live long in the memory.
It's funny the emotional whiplash people are having over this. It's mostly due to community driven hype given how long it's been since Terre was released. It sounds like exactly what it's supposed to be: a pleasant contemporary designer fragrance which has carved its own unique place among the existing market. I'm sure the purpose of Terre was exactly that as well.
This seems to be a fragrance that everyone perceives differently. I get no florals, and no metallic note. To me, this is super fruity. Mango and melon. Sacrilege, I know, but it reminds me of A&F First Instinct. Is my nose broken?
I blind bought this fragrance and am not disappointed. I'm not a fan of plagiarism. especially when a fragrance reviewer repeats Herme's own description of "freshly cleaned ironed laundry smell" as if it was their own impression. To me this scent opens as a pronounced green fougere
I wonder and wonder how could they had poured this frag in such disgustingly simple bottle....haven't smelled that already, hope the frag recompensate this bottle...oh man...
I'm missing real manly scents. Terre was good, now this laundry flower frag is too feminine to me and I don't get that this is the follow up of Terre D'Hermes.
I think the opening was very nice, juicy and organic, but too soon it became very flat. I would rather buy Un Jardin Sur le Nil. For the summer at least.
