Hermes laughed at me while we were doing some luxury shopping in Chicago. In this vlog, I'll show you some fabulous window shopping, and I'll try on the Louis Vuitton Capucines, which spoiler alert: I simply MUST have right now! Come join Zane and I for a fun chill weekend vlog! (we even go to Starbies!)
This year I'd love to add more pieces from Hermès like the Birkin size 40, Constance, 24/24 and Bolide. Maybe I'll be bad and get an Hermès Kelly 40! I also recently fell in love with the Chanel Jumbo- so that's kind of a must-have for my collection, along with a Chanel Mini Rectangle and a Chanel Reissue. Aside from those, I'd love to add a few more Fendi Peekaboo bags to my collection along with a Fendi Baguette. Make sure you subscribe to see what I buy this year!

I´ve never been inside a Hermes boutique and wouldn´t even dare to enter one... but I´ve been very frequently experiencing rudeness in "little girl" fashion stores when I dare to look at clothes they don´t think are suitable for me and they never fail to tell me, they don´t come in my size...

Woohoo for you two!!!!!!🤗🙌🏻🤗…..shopping in Chicago is so awesome and your Pandora bag is gorgeous 🫶……..so I have a client I design for that could purchase anything she wanted at Hermes, however she told me once they were rude to her as well and she will NEVER spend her money at that store ever! She also refuses to purchase at Chanel any longer and ONLY buys now at Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior and Gucci……ps you need that large LV bag for sure 😍

I have never been in an Hermes boutique. We tried to once but the doorman refused entry. They may have been busy but I doubt it. No one appeared to be in there! If they had treated you with manners, you might have been willing to wait for a wallet, but now the sale is lost to Fashionphile! Thank you for the video!

Hey Oli! Yeah, I really fell in love with the Capucines after actually seeing it and trying it on. I liked it a lot more than I was expecting too. Chicago is a great city, so it makes filming pretty easy! And thank you- I think I'm going to give H a break until they're back to the regular store, and I might try again. We'll see!

Someday I’ll pull out one my my favorite Eddie Monsoon lines if anyone is rude to me in a boutique, “You only work in a shop, you know. You can drop the attitude.” I love that you got Dominos. In SF they wouldn’t deliver to my area. I’ve ordered it 4 times in my first three weeks in Palm Springs. I love the large Capucines. For me if a bag doesn’t fit my phone it’s a no. Really enjoyed this video.

Hi Caleb! I saw your comment about Hermes on Dacob's live. Hermes was rude to laugh! I went online saw reviews and called and asked for an appointment with the SA that had good reviews. She turned out to be lovely and she became my SA. I asked for the Bearn wallet and she ordered it for me. It can be so frustrating to deal with Hermes even when you love the brand.

So frustrating. Hmmm. How to solve that. It’s so funny, because I was in a restaurant and they were super rude to me, but I just apologized for being there and told them they could serve me whatever they wanted. Then I paid extra money tipped him 100% and apologized for coming in.

I'm shocked the SA just cut you off like that. I used to go sniff perfumes at the Hermès boutique in D.C. on my lunch hour and the SAs were lovely. So sorry about that! Love your vlogs, you and Zane are great at making them!

I think I will get the Capucine (preloved though) I found that model for less than half of retail at Rebag- so I might do it sometime later this year! The tacos were so good- omg my favorite!

Wahoo go for the Large Capucine, based on your beloved Kelly (looked so good in this video😍) and how much you like your peekaboos. Hmmm wait a minite the small could be great too as a hand held if used like the little Brandon Blackwood evening handbag vibe.... but not cross body. Sooo not surpised you like the capucine its the signature top handle of LV and being a top handle lover myself who loves a hard structured unmoving handle for a vibe at times and one in an exotic ahhh its makes me drool. I get why you're.loving it. was looking at these on preloved a year or so ago and noticed they didnt wear so well. They lost their shape and slouched at the bottom so the profile of the bag lost its silouette I don't know if this has improved but maybe peek at how they wear on preloved before taking the plung as regular wear and tear I am OK with but I'd hate it if my bag lost its iconic shape. HANDBGAHOLIC has a great video that compares the 2 sizea if the comments will let me ill post the link at the end of my comment. Clearly Hermes is not 100% luxury if they don't know how to treat customers. Serioisly they wouldnt let you look at a wallet!!? Nothing wrong with preloved! Sometimes I feel a bit gleefully spiteful if I am getting a bag I love without giving any money to the store that was rude. Hope you can eventually find a SA that isn't on a high horse. Luxury shopping verges on method acting at times, can get exhausting. Oh and I think the larger LV is better for sure, with the small it really does not hold as much as you might think without wearing out the structure. The peekaboo looks lovely and slouchy as it ages but I dont think the Capucines looks as nice with structure loss

It really depends on the person at Hermes. Yrs ago I had an SA at Hermes, when he left I was given to another SA and one day I popped in unexpectedly and was treated like crap. Left a bad taste. A couple mis later I went in for a belt and was helped by another person who was amazing. The rude guy was also working and once he seen I had history in that store he literally started sucking up. A little too late LOL I loved the nice lady but I can’t justify retail prices so I haven’t been back in a couple years.

The Capucines are beautiful bags. Personally, I prefer the minis. Something to note is that the larger Capucines (eg. MM) are heavy and they don’t age well compared to the smaller sizes. Maybe check the pre-loved market to see how the bags look before you decide on one? Also, much better priced pre-loved.

I had a less than stellar experience at Hermes in NYC (Madison Ave). Swore I’d never go into another one. Well, I’m vacationing in Turkey and Montenegro and the folks at Hermes in Istanbul could not have been nicer!

Watching the part where you went to LV to look at the Capuccines (spelling?) … I went to LV today to finally try on the Odeon PM. I wanted to see it in person finally and get an idea of how it looked on me. They only had the Monogram in stock, which was fine though I would have loved to try both the Monogram and Damier Ebene to compare. I absolutely loved the bag even more once I saw it in person. It’s the absolute perfect size and the silhouette of the bag is just top notch. Definitely staying on my “plan to buy” list. I plan to add it to my Handbag family in the coming months. Pete, Murray, George and Harry will have a new brother! Also, I am sorry to hear about what happened at Hermes. You’d think they’d be nicer so as to want to keep the customers wanting to come back and to give them a nice experience. To be honest, I’m actually really nervous to set foot in an Hermes mostly because I literally have no idea what kind of experience I’d have there. No place can top my experience at Gucci though. I have an amazing SA, and everyone there always greets me with warmth and are very helpful. They all treat me like I am one of their old friends. 🙂 LV on the other hand, they always seem so bored. Not a bad experience there, the sales associates just seem so … bored all the time, lol. BTW - I spotted a Neverfull of the shelf at my local LV today. Looked like a Monogram PM size. 😮 Hope you and Zane have a wonderful weekend!

Yeah, the H experience was super disappointing, especially after having to hype myself up to even go in. @@CalebSnell I’m still trying to decide on which canvas I want. Damier Ebene I think would go with more outfits and seasons, but Monogram looks really nice too. The Monogram pattern has good versatility too. I thought at first the Monogram was going to be too obnoxious on this bag since the luggage tag also has the LV logo on it, but it was actually quite nice when I saw it in person. Honestly this might be the only LV bag I get since they have so few bags that I like. If I do wind up getting another LV bag it might not be for a long time - and for those reasons it makes me want to lean more toward the Monogram. But we’ll see! It won’t be for another couple of months until I plan to buy it, so I have time to think on which canvas I’d like to get! Oh, the bag I looked at today wasn’t Made in France. It was made in the US. Not that that’s a huge deal to me in general but if it’s the only LV bag I get (whether for a long time or forever), I’d prefer it to be Made in France, because it will feel more special. As for the lonely Neverfull on the shelf … yeah I am not sure either. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wind up selling it eventually. It’s hard to say at this point if it’s there to show that “hey, we have this available to purchase” or if it’s just there for display. But I could see them eventually selling it, mostly because (at least at my LV) they typically display bags that they actually sell and have in stock, and if their Neverfull stock dries up and someone comes in that reeeaaaaalllly wants the Neverfull, they might sell it. But who knows? Hehe. I kind of hope someone buys it so it can be used and enjoyed. Next time I am there (probably won’t be for a little bit), I’ll be on the lookout to see if it’s still there on the shelf! 😛

Wow I didn’t know Hermes had a hierarchy to buying SLG’s?!?! What the……… Wow I just don’t understand the logic. I’d rather spend my money at LV on that snake skin capucine. When I started going to LV I’d go after work in my scrubs and was treated great, I didn’t have to look any sort of way or have a history of spending. I usually went after work for a stress reliever to treat myself 😜 Anyhow the food you guys got looked amazing as usual, it’s fun tagging along with you guys no matter what you are up to.

This is why I will never set foot in Hermes . The customer should be priority always and I like being treated a certain way … until ppl stop buying their over priced hyped 🗑️ they will not learn anything( like teaching a toddler how to behave, they need to check themselves ) . There is nothing special about their bags , it’s all hyped by 🐑 I really am loving YSL and Dior and never been treated that way ( knock on wood ) ! I would have said Fu too, you’re way nicer than me boo .

I’m so sorry bad sales associates are the worst, I went to Louis Vuitton to buy a small bucket bag (circa 2003?) in Columbus Ohio and I was chatting with the sales associate and telling him I had just scored a white Murakami Alma I got on a recent trip to Miami, that snotty little twink acted so patronizing to me like he didn’t believe me. “I would LOVE to see that!” Yeah you little jerk people travel and buy things at other stores in other cities, I just happened too luck out. (Now I think the bag is ugly) Still annoying after all these years.

I use to work for a luxury store and if the client advisors ever said no to a client they would get shreds ripped off them from the management team that is on the floor watching over them and even if the client only just wants to see a wallet a sale is a sale and all clients are treated the same no matter what your opinion is This game Hermes plays is stupid I'm far too impatient to play the game I'm with you I'll just buy preloved or I'll be a catty b**ch and go back again and ask the same Client Advisor and if she said no I'd ask why not
