Herman Beeftink - "Celtic Forest" Flute Trio and Piano (Sheet Music) 

I show your music to my students as an example of how to write music simply, but at the same time very high quality and elegant.

Amazing work as always!!! I love the story that the flutes pass around as the critters in the forest. It gives that illustration of wonder and life and the gentle swaying of the trees. The piano provides a well accompaniment to the flutes and guides the melodic tone furthermore. The call & response and harmony between the Piccolo and flutes is amazing!!! Can’t wait to see more of your work!

Oh my goodness, this is an absolute masterpiece! I was co-principle of junior symphony orchestra as a junior in highschool as I played flute/piccolo for 7 years. I absolutely love the intricate melody, rich imagery, gorgeous harmonies, and stylistic choices implemented in this piece. It’s so unique, but yet brilliant and beautiful.

This reminds me of my childhood watching the Tinkerbell movies in the ending scene when all the fairies transform the landscape from winter into springtime.

Sounds just like it could be another movement from your first celtic suite! Its amazing!

I was in college for flute/piccolo performance up until this past december, where I decided to move onto a different path. The opportunities I had were amazing and getting to play pieces similar to this with other flute players was so amazing. Still, I know that staying there just wasn't healthy for me. Listening to this makes me wish I could still play trios like this with the flute studio, and it makes me really miss performing. I adore your music so much and this piece made me so melancholic. You are an amazing composer that instills such strong emotions through your music and I will always be a huge fan. Thank you for continuing to put things like this into the world.

Oh my goodness. This is absolutely GORGEOUS. I have performed the entire Celtic Suite piece done by him along with many of his other pieces. I have to definitely get this one for our flute choir. I play a LOT of Celtic flute as it is (and bagpipes) - it's a given since I am Scottish. Was so happy to see this and by accident, too, on RU-vid. Yep, it is a must for sure. I also play oboe in an Orchestra, and played flute/piccolo professionally, and also play alto flute. So, this is so perfect. I would love to see some music written for oboe, too......

this makes me remember why i started the flute. Ive been playing since I was 7 and there have been a few moments where I was close to putting down the instrument. I'm returning to playing the flute after a long, long break. I will say that having beautiful, provocative repertoire has moved to me to practice far more than I think I would have otherwise. I also wish our college flute ensembles had your music to play when I was going through it. This is exquisite.
