Love it! Our dad had just bought us a stereo, looked like a suitcase then you spread the speakers out. Sporting my Beatles boots and haircut. 58 years sure flew by, didn't it?
My Albanian grandmother who immigrated to Philadelphia bought me this album for my 9th birthday. They really did put a good rhythm section behind Peter. Barry Whitwam was an excellent drummer. Such cleverly written and well-composed rock-pop songs. A bygone era.
In 1986, I saw two of Herman’s Hermits, Derek Leckenby and Barry Whitwam perform in Jackson, MS with Garth Elliott and Paul Farnell. I would really love to see Peter Noone a.k.a. Herman somewhere in concert.
Hi...love the stereo remix on the Herman's Hermits. I actually have the "stereo" vinyl copy but sounds as if only a few songs were recorded in true stereo so it's nice to have a stereo mix of the whole album. I have a question for you...i have a mono recording of a record my uncle did back in 1962 i believe. If i send you the .wav file, could you possibly remix it into stereo? It's 2 songs that he wrote and recorded during the time he was making the movie The Alamo with John Wayne. 1 song is like an old civil war dirge and the 2nd song is like a little country swing type of song. I would love to have stereo copies of them. THANKS!! Oh, and I subscribed to your channel. ~Cody~
