Love how joel legit thought he could get to the world border in 10 minutes when it took doc traveling millions of blocks using a complex pig cannon in the nether to do it.
Honestly, my immediate thought when I saw Joel absolutley booking it in the nether was ''Oh no, he's not trying to get to the pig railgun and use it, is he?!''
everyone (but Beef and Joe): struggling to eat the melon to "demolish" it the permit office's "complaint" system that DEFINITELY DOES NOT dump anything that it recieves into lava, right next to them:
Oh, that would have been great, because then the permit office would either have to show the melons to prove they weren't demolished, or admit their comment box was a lie. ... Or more likely, claim that the melons are definitely not destroyed, but have been filed away in the comment records, which are classified
It would have been funny if someone filed the melon into PO storage and said something like "it may as well have been demolished it's buried under a stack of paperwork, never to see the light of day again"
really funny, especially with how that exact same sort of thing has happened with taskmaster (for example, i think the ice block that was thrown in the river?)
@@amusedapple4933 the only thing missing is some detail hidden in the room that's obvious to the camera but the contestant is oblivious to, like a sign with red text saying "eating the melon = disqualified" or something
My brain was trying too hard to make sense of Cleo's double slabs saying it represents real sized Bdubs until Grian came closer and there's a mini figure😂
"Grian clucks the Mission Impossible Theme" is now possibly my favourite Hermitcraft caption. (Previously the record was held by "Zed and Bdubs make bee-pushing noises.")
I find it funny that False and Joel put so much effort into winning the competition, and by the end they were both saying "I don't want either of the permits." I can't tell if they're just that competitive or if they signed up without having any idea what the prizes were.
Chicken film 1: stop chicken racism today but aggressively Chicken film 2: A chicken coming of age film except the protagonist dies almost immediately Chicken film 3 the bonus film: chicken man learns about the chicken industry and consumption and commits destruction of a legal record
27:52 i really like this section of the video. It gives us a window into what you guys do to make a video from brainstorming concepts, filming and and finally the final product. Love the Chicken Impossible theme song hahahaha
Joel: "Do you wanna eat some melon?" Grian: "I could eat some melon." This among many other times was fabulous work playing up the Alex Horne role. Great work, Grian.
This permitmaster was amazing. And with line like "is the melon demolished" and "all information in the task" it was real Taskmaster vibe but done as a hermitcraft episode. I loved it
I like this, but be aware of the bot reactions in this comment, I have never ever seen bots this aggresive before. (English is my second language, so sorry for the spelling mistakes)
As a fan of Taskmaster, I was really looking forward to this episode and it did NOT disappoint! It had major Taskmaster energy, and I love the homage to some of the real Taskmaster tasks. Grian nailed the Alex Horne balance between "All the information is on the task" instead of answering questions, and helping contestants when directly asked (because after all, the task didn't say that you couldn't ask Alex for help). I would love to see more of these episodes. I can't help but thinking that Greg would absolutely make Alex wear the chicken hat for the video, but would probably put it on during the presentation section of the studio filming as a joke. I was also kind of hoping that Smallishbeans would go for the role of "I'm last place in the series because the Taskmaster doesn't like me, probably because I keep arguing with all the decisions". But neither of those quibbles in any way detracted from the episode, which was absolutely fantastic.
Yessss that’s exactly what I was thinking too!! I noticed how Grian kinda adopted Alex’s energy in the show and it really felt put together, I hope they do more stuff like this
After watching things like this, Bdubs tall claims court, and Mumbo's "freak show", it always feels like the hermits are casually dropping bangers this season.
39:00 Grain explains the game and uses an example Game starts Cub uses the example 3 hermits out immediately Gotta love the wonderful world hermiting crafting 💯😂😭
@@Ratatouillepleaseforme ether way they bot seems to be spamming down right messed content about a women's dog dyeing and that being funny and whoever wrote that has no sense of humor
funny note on grian and cub’s short film… the “angry chicken noises” are actually fairly calm chicken noises (i think that’s their more excited noise) and chickens are actually cannibals so the chicken probably wouldn’t be that upset at seeing cooked chicken… he’d just be hungry.
Joel and Cleo’s movie was like a peta add Joe, false and beef’s movie was like a lifetime movie Grian and cubs was just “mission in bwauk-able” Edit: this may be my most liked comment, thanks
In a way, zombiecleo drowned was a surprising death message because they expected an interesting death message and she didn’t deliver an interesting death message
usually in taskmaster in such cases it is up to the contestant to explain the "why" of why their performance was better, i agree with the argument and if cleo had made it then they had a genuine chance of getting a bonus point considering how close grian stuck to the taskmaster vibe
as someone who has watched EVERY episode of taskmaster I can confidently say that Grian, you are a credit to the genre. this was an outstanding production that would flatter Alex and Greg and I hope they get to experience it themselves.
The short films brought me right back into photography/videography college. Cub and Grian brainstorming is exactly what we did when given prompts. Lots of 'what about this... nah' or 'ooh! ...nah'. I actually kinda miss that, even if it use to trigger my stage fright.
That would have been hilarious but I think grian should have a episode where poultry man makes a return and trolls everyone by filling their shops or houses with chickens that would be priceless, or maybe putting a noteblock with a chicken head on it and a redstone clock to make it go off at random times hidden somewhere in thier house or shop that would be equally hilarious
Grian: *does a variant of the Taskmaster series* Cub: *acts quite lenient during the whole Permitmaster event* Grian after recording ends: *rips Cub's lighthearted nature in a Phasmo stream* Me: "Now how would I explain that?"
@@cubed.public still fits for grian, the organizer of the whole thing, to be the ̶t̶a̶s̶k̶m̶a̶s̶t̶e̶r̶'s permitmaster's assistant, seeing as that ties in with actual taskmaster
Zedaph would have destroyed that death message competition. Pretty hard to beat "blown up by a snow golem" in ten minutes. I personally would have responded to demolish the melon by pulling the flint and steel out of my ender chest and burned its item form. WAIT, no! Composter! I always carry wood and a crafting table!
Zedaph is an absolute master at doing weird stuff in MC, I was thinking that the whole time too, he literally had at least 2 Zedvancements last season that gave good ones 👍
@@NinjaChicken562 There was a bot spamming the same unacceptable replies all over this comment section. They got reported for spam, violence, sex reference and child abuse reference.
There has to be more 'create a 1 minute film' style edits. One of the funniest moments this season. The pressure/ creativity it produces is unmatched. Great job assistant to the permitmaster!
@@Heymeband101 It's best to avoid responding to bots. Any kind of engagement can cause them to be viewed as more credible, as well as make the bot note that it's getting responses.
A good death message would be "Smallishbeans did not want to live in the same world as Grian or Cub, or anyone from the permit office for that matter." I used Smallishbeans as an example, and it could be done by nametagging a zombie "Grian or Cub, or anyone from the permit office for that matter", letting it hit you once, and then, while it's chasing you, you jumping off a cliff and die from fall damage. It might offend the judges, but it would absolutely hilarious.
I feel like the trial chamber loot is so much more profitable, because almost everyone will have the mace already, but breeze balls could sell a lot better
If you think about it, the death message that Beef produced was the most surprising, since everyone expected an outlandish one, so getting a normal one was technically speaking, the most surprising and unexpected
This episode took me right back to my days of making short films in college. Having barely any idea what you're doing behind the scenes, rushing through filming, rolling with the happy accidents that happened, presenting with your classmates, and one of the other groups really going above and beyond and hitting a really nice vibe. I mean I only graduated like a year ago but it feels like it's been forever.
cub and grian have been so fun together these past few episodes. gonna make me so sad when they eventually and inevitably have to fight eachother to the death by the end of the season
For context: the world border is 30 million blocks away from 0 0 in every direction, it has taken people days without any fancy machines and Joel tried to reach it in 10 min
@@MusabUmayr Sometimes it's smaller when there's a pending update with major terrain changes. But we just had that update, so even if it was smaller, that smaller border would have just gotten expanded
I really need Grian to start watching game changer, that and taskmaster are sure to create some interesting permit challenges next time there needs to be an auction
28:45 the chicken tries to apply for a job but the permit office doesn’t hire chickens. So he asks if G knows of a place that would hire a chicken and G says “the place across the road”
