Sniffers should be able to sniff out slime chunks. It would give more reasons to find them and would be a fun mechanic to lead them around until they react to the slime chunk.

That's an interesting idea. I thought it might be cool if you could capture a small slime in a bucket and it would wiggle if you're in a spot where slimes could spawn. Woot! More bundle love! But you’ve only begun to realize their power! For example, did you know that those bees nests you had in a shulker box could’ve been put in a single bundle? A single bundle can carry 64 unique hives! EDIT: this is no longer true! Apparently at some point they changed it so a filled hive takes up a full stack no matter what. They used to not stack together simply because they had different data, but the stack size for the block was still 64 so this trick worked great until they changed it I also highly recommend you keep some of the things you’d usually have at your base all tucked into a bundle to keep with you at all times. You can keep a crafting bench, stonecutter, a furnace setup (ranging from literally just a single furnace, to a compact furnace array of 8 furnaces with hoppers fed by a single chest boat), an anvil, grindstone, and basic compressed crafting materials like logs, iron blocks, coal blocks, bone blocks, and even a clock you can see just by hovering over the bundle to tell the time! All of that in a single inventory slot. Or two if you decide to keep a second mostly empty bundle to help you navigate to the thing you want in your primary bundle and then neatly put everything back in the same order. I can’t wait to see you unlock the full potential of bundles Cub

Honey building, hmmm? 🤔 Do you want something different? How about a stack of pancakes with honey as the “syrup”, dripping down the side? The floor could be the “plate”, slabs surrounded by upside down stairs for the plate rim, maybe with a flower pattern (inside, on the floor) in the middle, like a fancy decorated plate. ❤

Exactly, I also was also thinking there are so many things currently in Minecraft which are normal necessity in game like slime but any new player going blind without reasearch would never be able to figure it out so many mechanics which seems like common knowledge now but if you think about it are so obscure that you might only figure out naturally only with 100s of hours of game play.

Like a year ago I actually made a dirt to mud converter as a part of clay producing machine with like half a stack of glass bottles in it's system. When dirt block was placed against an observer, glass bottle was filled with water, next used on the block and filtered out of the dispenser via standard sorting unit which accepts only empty glass bottles, then was resend to the bottle holding barrel completing the loop. Your system works somewhat similarly. Since I've build my machine I never understood why everyone uses like 9 stacks of bottles in their designs, it's just not the way to go. Great video Cub 👍 As a sidenote, I like to use lecterns with a 15 page book as my 1 block signal strength provider, you just flip the book on the page equal the signal strength you need. Just a personal preference, might be useful to someone.

I forget what mod adds it but theres a Slime in a Bucket thats sort of like a compass, you hold it in your inventory(hotbar sonyou can see it) and the slime inside the bucket will start dancing excitedly when within a Slime Chunk. I have always thought this was the BEST most vanilla esk way to find Slime Chunks in game without relying on 3rd party programs/sites that abuse Seed and generation data

For an in game way to identify slime chunks, mojang should add dripping slime particles like the water and lava ones but not from every block and not all the time. They could make it random so if you’re digging in a slime chunk under a certain level you might see slime particles at random and know that’s a slime chunk. Alternatively (and I like this idea better), they could add a slime cave biome that starts in a slime chunk below certain levels and spreads out by no more than 2-3 chunks In any direction. There could be slime blocks mixed in with the stone, slimes spawning and perhaps a slime layer like snow or carpets. Finally, they could add blue, pink, yellow slimes. Perhaps determined by the overworld biome the chunk spawns in. Final edit: Cub! Please make your slime farm into a slimy biome. Would be so cool.

I love bundles, too. The only downside is how difficult it can be getting at the first items put in when you have many different kinds of items in the bundle, especially if your inventory is rather full. I wish you couild take the items in and out in any order. Still, they really revolutionize inventory space, and even chest storage. I like to carry as many bundles as possible. When I'm out exploring, that lets me bring home everything I want. Especially in the early game when I'm looking for all the wood types and need to bring home just a few saplings of each, and same for other plants that I can then establish at home from a few seeds or starters, the bundles are HUGELY useful.

The only way for slimes to be able to work that way is if they bypassed the minimum distance from a player that mobs can spawn, which would be pretty frustrating while caving if you're fighting a creeper and a slime spawns directly behind you. The best way in game that I can think of currently is if you enter a cave where there's a slime spawned F3+B to see chunk borders and build a grid of fences in the vicinity where you saw the slime. Leave and come back and if any new slimes have spawned within a cell of your fence grid you know that chunk is the slime chunk.

I just recently built big piston based sugarcane farm in my survival world. It has 4 rows and length of a double redstone signal range, so around 120 pistons. I came to the conclusion that going any bigger with the piston design just isn't great and efficient (even though I used 4 daylight sensors to trigger the harvest instead of over 100 observers). Nice to see Cub tackling a flying machine design for this kind of farm. I can learn a thing or two as I never got around playing with slime/honey blocks properly.

The texture of the honey block and it's dark hole could "simply" change depending of the numbers of bees attributed: no hole = 0; 1 hole = 1 up to 3 And when they are in the bee nest, each hole would get a little yellowish to signify they are inside !

you can check how many bees are in a nest with f3, if you're looking at a placed bee nest. on the bottom right corner it should say how many

There are a lot of things in minecraft that need in-game ways of finding imo. Started a new world, decided i wanted to build with cherry, closest cherry biome was 7000 blocks away... Imagine not using a seed mapper and trying to find a cherry biome just through adventuring. Now I'm all for adventuring, but there's on so much world gen sight seeing I can take before it stops feeling fun.
