HERMITCRAFT SEASON 9 in Minecraft 1.18.1 the Caves & Cliffs update.
In Episode 10 False continues work on the MEGA BASE and gets the majority of the first level complete! She also takes part in the rest of iJevin's egg hunt and finds as many eggs as she can scattered around the spawn base.

You could continue Jev's walk way just the way it is, but add the moss and vines and whatnot that you already have surrounding your base? So it's like transitioning from one biome to another Also, turquoise to purple sounds fantastic!

You could have Jevins walkway curve to the left slightly and go as a tunnel/walkway/bridge trough your cave river area so it doesn't interrupt the natural front area, then come back out after?

I don't know why, but the cave atmosphere in the shopping area gives me this cool image of a weaverbird nest-esque shop. Perhaps not exactly, but I got the vibes of interesting hanging structures. Maybe a big hollowed out stalactite instead? Or some sort of chain-suspended swinging structure? Maybe I've got the wrong vibe in mind, but that's what I've got rolling in the ol' noggin!

bring the walkway around the corner where Jevin ended it an bring the path up and connect to the path leading to Ren and stress. that way it won't block the entrance to the shop.

I was thinking the same, effectively transition to a staircase up to the path near her base. I figure if it deliberately turns up it would look decent as a hard transition to the natural section of the river bank.

If you wanted a shop that fit in well in the cave, you could do a shop that sells furnace fuels or smelted items, and put the shop near or in the lava at the bottom of the cave.

Axolotl races, players at one end of pool punches a trapped drowned then different colored axolotl race to attack it. Maybe an obstacle course or player interaction with redstone devices to hinder or help them along.

if you're looking for a large contrast maybe try out the red sandstone/acacia. I feel the orange on the blue tones would look nice. . otherwise I think the prismarine wouldnt look bad at all

here is my homework lol a copper gradient would look amazing for the roof! for a mini game, you could do “axolotl help” where there’s like an arena and you have. zero armor/tools, and you have a different level of Aquatic animals for instance level one would be a drowned level two would be something else then there could be guardian and then the last level could be an elder guardian and if you don’t die throughout the game then you win?

I think little EggFalse should sit on the eagle's "shoulder" like birds sit on people's shoulders. Also I think dark prismarine would look good with the grass color in your area. Not regular prismarine though.

Warped planks, warped wart, stripped Warped stem, blue terracotta and purple terracotta could be a cool gradient for the roof (in this order)

Suggestion: Have there be a Nether bit of the Boardwalk that conveniently bypasses the entrance to your glass shop. Therefore, as the Nether is Minecraft Hyperspace, you would have a hyperspace bypass and a reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I think you should try out either purpur blocks to maintain the icy vibe or crimson planks to add a darker yet warmer pop. If you go with crimson planks, also consider throwing magenta terracotta and/or purple terracotta into the mix. Nether bricks might look cool, but they might be a little too dark and compete with the dark wood framework of your build.

Like most birds, they usually have a nest, and they usually have eggs in that nest... You should put your egg in a nest near your bald eagle or near your base, but just have the bald eagle hunting at the river.

I actually love the color of blue or packed ice as a roof in snowy biome since blue ice give a light effect. I think the mini false egg can go to the beak of the Eagle...

If you're looking for a turquoise-to-purple palette, you'd be a fool to yourself not to use prismarine _somewhere._ And I'm sure the prices at the new prismarine shop will be reasonable. But there's a lot of blocks that fit that palette as well. Warped nylium and oxidised copper, obviously. Purpur and crimson stem is just as obvious. Even if you stick with prismarine, you'll need to varigate it with something.

Roof ideas. Since you're building in a biome with a lot of cool colors Red would fit. Netherbrick would pull tones from the spruce in your build, then gradient that purple. It'll help warm up the build and balance it.

For the mini game: This is more RNG based but have a bunch of water mobs be in a small pool with each mob having a certain amount of points and the Axolotl with the most points/kills win

If you have a zombie spawner, you could make a drowned farm, but once you convert the zombies into drowned, you lead them to a survival adventure area that has both land (e.g. parkour) and underwater (e.g. swim through rings while fighting off drowned) challenges. You have the axolotl as the "buddy/helper" to assist on the adventure.

What about a starry sky gradient kind of palette for your roofs? Blocks like lapis lazuli, coal, dark blue wool, quartz, etc.. nothing seems more fittingly wintery to me than a dark sky full of shiny stars.

You should build the entertainment aspect of the mall, kind of like how old people like to walk around the mall. You should do hoops so that way hermits can fly through the hoops. Or create a 🎠 carousel/merry-go-round. Create a section for paddle boats or a lazy river. Have places where a hermit can shoot other hermits that are on the lazy river. And you know you can create a monorail to go around the mall to show off the shops.

Since axolotls do kill almost all water mobs naturally (I don’t think that they will ever attack dolphins and turtles but you might want to double check) you could make a mini game where there is a maze full of fish and a few axolotls. If all of the axolotls are put in buckets before all of other fish are killed, the player or team of players will win a prize.

You could put a little custom tree by the walkway to help it blend into the natural area once the paths hook up. I don't know if it's too late to suggest anything, but I guess that's my two cents.

I had an idea for an axolotl minigame- there is a mob in an underwater minecart moving around and players have to shoot the mob either with an arrow or a trident from behind a line- but only once. Then, their pet axolotl kills the mob. The player owns the axolotl that kills the mob wins. So to set up the game each player will deploy one axolotl. The game would be about accuracy, but also how good your axolotl is at killing!

i think even switching from prismarine to smth like cyan wool or the warped tree leaves would stick out well against the cool (tho muted) tones of the ice biome!! esp if you started darker, with the purple, and transitioned upwards!!

Mini game? More like event with several in it, but... Pet show? Axolotl (hunting vs specific mobs, randomly rolled. Penalties for killing the wrong mob, player not allowed to damage except "target-setting" punch), dogs and cats (perhaps obstacle courses?), etc...

For the path at the spawn riverside, you could definitely do a more natural-looking path, like a desire path/deer trail sort of look, and I'd love to see a little bridge by the glass shop!! Just high enough to let boaters access the waterfall still, but also bringing people going on foot right to the mouth of your shop! I'm thinking extinguished campfires, trapdoors, a bit of fence railing.. Not a "modern" (for lack of a better term) man-made bridge/trail, but the sort of thing you'd see in the woods or something. Edit: also seeing people suggest gazebo, I love that idea!! Definitely a great transition piece from Jevin's style to your landscape.

I would suggest some sort of service shop, instead of resources. Looks like most are pretty well covered already, so get on top of market evolution early. Something like False Adventures? Setting up scavenger hunts or escape rooms for the Hermits to enjoy

Hmmmm Axolotls and Allays could be a fun game to make, where one kills mobs and the other collects drops, most drops collected by a hermit's Allays wins the game. Would probably need a huge arena / combat area and special rules.

axolotl are tricky. they're not exactly tamed, and drowned will attack them when the drowned are not tracking you. They just attack everything that swims except turtles and dolphins. There is an achievement for attacking things with an axolotl, but apparently you either already had it or didn't meet the rather exact criteria to get it. I'm trying to come up with how to use them for a game, but given their randomness, it's hard to come up with something.

I think you're meant to get an achievement for fighting alongside an axolotl, maybe if you let it do some damage but then it's you who gets the final hit?

I believe when an axolotl heals (playing dead) after taking damage in a fight, is when you get the advancement. Not sure though, I've also heard it's supposed to be when its target dies so I don't know..

Shop: An assassination guild. Since others are cosplaying as heroes, there has to be a villain. You get diamonds for killing hermits on the server.

Maybe a little gazebo to finish the boardwalk with stairs and garden to go back into your base area. It would make the boardwalk look finished, and it’s also a good lookout into the Hermississippi river. You also preserve the area you wanted to keep as grass and flowers

Homework response: purple roofs for main base and for the boardwalk it could end in a small fishing dock and a natural dirt path up to your base. Not sure how an axolotl game would work though sorry

Warped wood to crimson wood may give a similar appearance to the prismarine/purple gradient but a little more muted to fit in to the ice biome. Could throw in exposed copper for texture.

Axolotl game idea: not sure if it will work, but if they attack things you attack with snowballs, you could do some sort of axolotl race. Basically you stand at one end of your pool and your opponent also has a pool and you each have to hit different fish/ squid/ or drowned with snowballs to try and get the axolotl to target them and move forward to get them to the end of the other end pool first. Bit of an odd idea, not sure how well it would work, but might be worth some testing :)

axolotl minigame: wacksalotl a wack a mole style game made with dispensers filled with buckets of axolotls and hooked up to a randomizer, the players have an axe and the goal is to have the most axolotls killed

Regarding the Jevin path, I would suggest just connecting it to an open-air/dirt road that splits with one half going to your base, and the other down to the cave.

If you still want to keep the edge of your starter base next to Jevin's boardwalk more natural looking, maybe there could be a pergola at the end of it that would make a nice transition to a garden pathway/nature trail type thing? If you did something like that it would be so cute if you put your False egg sitting in a little tree swing beside the path

Since it's a gradient to a completely different colour, I think prismarine could still work depending on what blocks your palette contains and in what amount (and it's a gradient I haven't seen being used before, so I would love to see you use it). Alternatively, do also like the sunset gradient someone else mentioned in the comments. I feel like that's a gradient that should fit in any biome.

Also you said to spam the comments and you’d be happy to read them all 🤣 so for the boardwalk, I would just bring it on down as stairs and have it covered in moss and vines crumbling away as it winds down into the glass shop. Just a kind a smoothing over to make it not so abrupt.

I think instead of blue to purple, you do a gradient of light purple (on bottom) to blue (on top of roof). This way, it'll look like it makes sense when flying in from above, but then as you get to a ground point of view you'd be able to get that fun splash of purple

Definitely blue and purple are really good colors for this base, so just switching the gradient would the gradient around would keep the integrity of your idea while also marching the icy aesthetic of the biome

Axolotols will attack tropical fish as well. So you could build four tanks, each with an even number of tropical fish in it. People place bets on the Axolotols to see which one will kill the tropical fish most quickly.

Awesome episode! The base is looking super cool so far and the outline in the thumbnail looks epic and I can’t wait to see it come to life over the course of the season! IJevin wants to make a Netherite beacon, he has a OP creeper farm but sand would be good to sell I think you may have at least one returning customer for that. Although if we are talking mega bases maybe sand and gravel if people need it to make concrete or maybe concrete kits with an equal amount of gravel and sand. Maybe with the kits there could be a rare one with some dye included and the color could change every time. Watching Grians Barge shop last season gravel and sand where super popular and as far as I know no one is selling either yet so I think those would be great to sell. Maybe you could save yourself some diamonds and also make a profit by also selling prismarine and making your own farm, it seems to be in high demand right now, I know a few people have been needing it.
