I just like the interactions in general between hermits and I'm glad several are basing together or doing projects together. It feels more like a server and less like a bunch of people living in a vacuum

pretty sure you can't sort shulker boxes based on their name, since they don't stack

@@phiefer3 that's correct. You can only sort stackable items by name. But I believe it's possible to sort out Shulker boxes. However refilling them automatically with hopper takes way too long. A Shulker return system that gives you 2 diamonds or something like that would be better but also likely unnecessary.

In a way the fact the mountain isn't hollow will be an asset. Dwarven caves of Tolkien were mines, carved out into halls and galleries by the Dwarves digging for gold and other minerals, Minecraft's natural generation wouldn't be quite right. Of course, you're bound to break into some caves as the Dwarves would, but the main structures would be more "industrial" than normal caves,

You could use the raid farm emeralds to sell a "beacon in a box", where it's got a beacon, enough emerald blocks for a full beacon, a few extra to pay for turning it on a few times, and a shulker to haul it around in.

"Specific iMpulse" seems like the perfect name for the rocket shop. Wikipedia: Specific impulse (usually abbreviated Isp) is a measure of how efficiently a reaction mass engine (a rocket using propellant or a jet engine using fuel) creates thrust.

@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 Well diamonds are the currency, but you won't start a shop with 4 netherite ingots. They're only really nice to get if you need them to upgrade, since it saves you the effort to get them yourself.

I don't know if you noticed, but the spot beneath your emerald bridge looks like a mix between a hobbit door and a vault door in the the way its shaped. So of course I thought about the secret entrance to the Misty Mountain that Bilbo slips into. Then you mentioned the dwarfism city plan and I have never been more excited to see what you come up with!

I, like many, really like the idea of the Dwarven Kingdom theme - there’s a lot of inspiration and lore to be taken from Tolkien; from the creation of the Dwarves by Aule the Smith (a Valar), their acceptance as the third children of Illuvitar (Eru/the creator), their awakening, them splitting off into 7 great “clans”, forming 7 great kingdoms (some of which were lost after the 2nd Age, some of which were isolationist), right to the end of their days as they dwindled and died out in the 4th Age. There’s no better Hermit to do it justice. Even if you decide to take it in a different dwarven direction, as many authors took inspiration from Tolkien.

Impulse is gonna become the King Under the Mountain. I hope he replicates the Treasury and Smaug, and as well as make the Arkenstone as part of this season. Then I also hope Gem and Pearl recreate Rivendell and Mirkwood for The Hobbit vibes.

I saw several comments saying that the mountain being solid was a good thing and more accurate. I am on board with whatever you want to do, but In have one suggestion. If you choose to have a hollow mountain, just pack it full of explosives and set them off, it will create a random and hopefully natural cave. I am surprised that people rarely use explosives for stuff like this on HC.

An idea for the base (hope you like it) Since there is a river by the entrance of your soon-to-be base, why not make it so that there's a water fall(s) that fall deep under like the bridge that brings you to the actual "doors" of the base and make a small lake, and then, once you make/find the actual cave, make some of the water from seep through a crack and have another waterfall inside the cave

Ideas: 1. Make four 5x5 pillars as bridge supports. You could make them "I's" to stay on brand with water flowing from the gap in the i. Stone, SmStone, and cobble could mix well to make them look like stone emerald blocks to give it that extra signature look. 2. Create a golden(raw?) bridge with glowstone accents (maybe vice-versa) 3. An emerald half-dome entryway with recessed netherack fires and red carpetting. 4. Redstone doors that open with item frame vault locks that use torches/lanterns to unlock. 5. Best/worst for last. A water/lava fall that covers the entance at night with sun/moon sensors.

Using the new music disc as background music for the exploration bit was a great idea. It added to the adventure feeling. I also really liked the choice of filming from a third person perspective during all the flying scenes. Loved all this added stuff to the already wholesome trio of you three. Woke up with a headache this morning, and I think this video really helped me forget about it for a while until it went away.

It's very cool to see so many Hermits doing cave stuff this season, and so far each of them sound like different styles. It'll be cool if Gem builds an Elven forest town. The side of a cliff the only thing that comes to mind would be pixies or maybe fay?

I got my parents into Minecraft about a year ago, and some point after getting comfortable with it my stepdad (a longtime Tolkien fan) was like "so the player characters are all dwarves right? is that the lore? this game makes me feel like I'm having a Hobbit adventure." I told him I didn't think so, and then I looked it up and couldn't find anything about it, and then I continued to thought about it for a year because it still makes a lot of sense. All this is to say that the direction you're going in feels right and I'm excited to keep watching.

Hey @impulseSV, I can’t wait for your LOTR design base. I had some ideas that you could create the Balrog like the one in Moria like what Tango did with Fifi. You also wanted a battle axe, so why don’t you add a texture pack and create a dwarfish armour design. Also, you could use armour stand people to create scenes from the film (e.g. where Gandalf said, “You shall not pass”). Can’t wait for the build. 😄

If I know anything about dwarves, it is that they delve too deep. That bridge would look even better if it were gently sloping downward into a deep dark cavern. Could go for a 'bridge to the underworld' kinda vibe.

Pearl is like the oldest sister and Gem is the youngest of the Bunch. Impulse - cannot decide if he is the middle child or the Uncle. He gives off such a good vibe and hes always down for the kids' shenanigans. I love this trio!!! Soup trio supremacy

Hearing you mentioning Tolkien made me happy. I just bought Silmarillion and it came this morning. If you are going full Dwarvish, you should build enormous Aulë statue with his great hammer in the middle of the main hall. I visualized decoration with gold ores, deepslate gold ores, nether gold ores and gilded blackstones and even block of raw golds, diamonds, emeralds, amethyst, quartz, lapis, ruby (or redstone xD), rooms full of riches. Ahh, gorgeous!

A cool idea (at least I think) is a newspaper thing where other hermits can sign up with a cost of like a diamond per 2-5 hermit craft episodes and what it consist of is a written book of updates on new shops and other news that might not have spread quickly so that all the hermits can keep caught up with eachother.

NGL, that commercial was pretty fire. That was the best ad I have ever seen for a VPN. That is EXACTLY what people need to see in their mind's eye when typing.
