I think scar ignited the front tnt before it had a chance to fire, that's why it blew up the cannon

uHmM aCtUaLlY scar hawkeyed at the TNT at the front of the cannon with a flaming arrow, igniting the TNT and making it explode before it was able to be propelled by the other TNTs otherwise the button should’ve timed the machine correctly so the propelling TNT explodes right before the actual projectile.

So if I have this right: Doc's stuff was blown up by Impulse. But everyone thinks Scar blew it up. So Grian replaces Doc's lost Redstone box.

And yet Impulse uses the single most broken farm in all of minecraft the stacking raid farm. A farm so powerful that it makes four other farms completely redundant and that even scicraft don't like using because of how OP it is.

And then you have doc

To be fair it IS their full time jobs so they have a lot of time to grind but its still honestly really impressive

@@yikaii I thought about that, but it still takes an incredible amount of discipline to grind for literal hours day after day. I appreciate all the work they do. The content that comes from it is amazing :D

that is a lesson on why we should be proud of our little builds lol. minecraft actually takes a lot of grinding and dedication, and not everyone is willing to make all that effort. i would certainly get tired out and never wanna play again

I just tend to zone out when digging. You can listen to a podcast or asmr while you grind to pass time. Hope this helps.

That is necessary since you cannot move dispenser in Java. You can't expect him to build a giant dispenser grid over the perimeter.

I love that about the Hermits!!! Some are super vanilla, some plan builds in creative, some love bugs… and it’s all good! :D

Wonderful idea. Immortalize Scar. I hate to even bring it up, but there may be a day in HermitCraft history when Scar has played his last day, so having a statue or two of him would be a great idea.

As cheese as it sounds, I know The Hermits will dig the old fashioned way, but looks like if they keep digging this much, maybe it's time they make a use of world eaters for their megabase builds. Either some Hermits may be able to do it or if possible, anyone who can make world eaters can take the opportunity to charge diamonds to allow world eater services to other Hermits. I really believe The Hermits is as close as they can be compared to The Sci-Craft Server and using World Eaters to do massive mining and megabases to me is okay. I believe it will cut the time if done right and maybe free up lag? I'm not too sure how the chunks works.

Yeah logic has never been a strong side in hermits. Not sure if it's the youtuber aspect or minecraft, but it's too common

It makes sense though. Duping tnt is in fact a broken mechanic and is insanely easy to do, whereas making a shulker farm takes a massive amount of work and doesn’t involve exploiting any game mechanics to duplicate blocks and create thousands of blocks for free. Everyone draws the line at a slightly different point but a lot of people feel like you may as well just hop into creative and cheat for all the tnt with the creative inventory if you’re going to just blatantly use a super easy exploit to get infinite tnt. The only instance I think duping tnt isn’t a lame cop out is in cases like Doc’s massive hole. That would have been basically impossible with real tnt and the world eater is such a massive and complex project that using it makes up for the typical extremely easy process of duping tnt. Impulse already has tons of gunpowder so why not just do it legit instead of cheesing the game and creating tnt out of thin air? It is a lot more satisfying and rewarding to simply do it legitimately and gives him another use for all his gunpowder. Glad he did it this way and didn’t just take the super easy way out. It’s a fair point to draw the line of “broken game mechanic” at “duping tnt”. Are you suggesting anyone who disagrees with tnt duping should never build or utilize any farms in the game ever? Do you think that someone having legitimate farms contradicts their opinions on tnt duping?

@@Brandon34300 "doesn't involve duplicating blocks", except a shulker farm literally relies on a shulker duping itself, the "effort" (negligable) is irrelevant, you can't just draw lines on X effort for a threshold of broken mechanic vs part of the game. It's not a fair point at all since it has no logic and yes, if you want to complain about tnt duping or X mechanic, don't use any Y mechanic either. The game is the game, if you don't like it either don't complain or don't play it.

@@ldgarius shulkers can hit each other and create new shulkers and that’s a totally intended game mechanic, it’s not “duping”. Is giving cows wheat and creating a baby cow considered duping a cow? Tnt duping isn’t an intended game mechanic and relies on glitches/exploits. I do not care how other people play the game, dupe tnt all day long if you want. I just personally don’t like it and consider it pretty cheaty as many people do. Enjoy the game however you want, i never said not to. A lot of people also play with keep inventory on and switch to creative to get items/blocks they want. Tnt duping is closer to those players than shulker farming players all day long though, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

@@ldgarius also the lines people draw exist for a reason and are integral towards the success of a server like this. There still exist dupes in the game that you can do with any item involving a shulker box and a fairly small amount of redstone components. Without hermits drawing lines at certain points the entire survival aspect of this series/server could have been lost extremely easily. If they truly didn’t care about duping whatsoever they could literally each get infinite supplies of every single item so long as they had one of those items to start with. I’m sure you can at least see how that would quickly become problematic and defeat the purpose of a “survival” server pretty quickly right? If you don’t draw the line at tnt duping that’s cool, it’s a very minor complaint of mine, and again something idc if others do and only hold myself to not doing, but having lines in general the server doesn’t cross is a pretty logical step to take for them in order to keep the integrity of the server.

Its made even better by the fact Stress decided to dig a mine shaft as a decorative place for her mason villagers and in like 10 blocks hit a giant dripstone cave and screamed NOOOooo!!!! because she didn't want to deal with it. (They both have what the other was hoping for)

Doc is pretty on board with that sentiment, and would probably not dupe tnt for world eaters if it weren't for the fact that it is the only way to have a movable tnt dispenser on java.

@@Ninjamanhammer so mojang knows duplicating tnt exists but they leave it in for that case? That's actually cool on their behalf. Glad they leave in some "bugs". Like going to the roof of the nether. They tried to prevent it but you can still do it

@@NoChillAustin and that is one of the hardest parts of working on java, try to not "fix" these bugs by mistake in the spagetti code until a proper replace is implemented.

FYI Shulkers have a small % chance at spawning in reinforcements, so it's not quite the same as the TNT duping. But everyone's got their own threshold as to where they draw the line when it comes to what's okay and what's not for themselves personally.

The shulkers dup is an in game mechanic, tnt dup is a bug not a feature. *shrug*

That is usually worth more than a thousand diamonds, so that would be an extreme discount.
