Hermitcraft 9 : Episode 17 - MY ENCHANTED HOUSE 

So to summarise the king situation. - Bdubs liked Ren building more of the roads and laying out where the roads go in the shopping district. - Bdubs then said "hey Ren, nice roads, you should be king of the server". - Bdubs and Ren gathered many of the hermits into Bdubs' tower and they voted to let Ren be king. - Ren decreed that every hermit was to drop all but 64 diamonds into "the pit" (the centre of the server quest area) to reset the economy. - Server quests were made to gain those diamonds back by doing 'quests' that benefit the server and boost interaction between the hermits.

Nah Stress you don’t have to go into the deep dark if you don’t want to. There’s plenty of other hermits and other creators covering it that you don’t have to feel pressured into doing it. Just keep doing what you like that’s why we love ya.

stress impulse is selling the swift sneak 3 books that are found in the ancient cities so if you wish to get one before the city you can, i warn you though it's about 10 diamonds i believe. if you wish to avoid the warden talk to doc he might be able to help

Great to see you back! The sculk prank was actually made of two blocks, the sensor you destroyed only makes a little trilling noise, the screaming comes from a shrieker that is set off either by a signal from a sensor or from walking on it, so the shrieker is still buried, probably under a different piece of carpet and you could scare yourself by walking over it so you might want to look for that. You don't have to go to the deep dark at all, also Ren made a video recently that explains everything about the quest system! The purple froglights come from the white frogs (breed any frogs to get tadpoles you can put in a bucket then have the tadpoles grow up in a warm area like a desert) and the frogs have to eat the smallest size of magma cube.

Stress, you are absolutely gorgeous just the way you are- no need to go into the Deep Dark if you don’t want to. Especially not for view sake! One of the reasons I love watching you is how relatable you are with not liking the monstery stuff in Minecraft!💖

So while you were gone, Ren was voted for King. His first decree was that everyone must throw all but 64 diamonds into the hole in the quest building; then you can take up quests to earn some of those diamonds back. The quests can be for all kinds of things like donate valuable items, pranking a hermit or they can be more permanent tasks like building certain buildings.

What about using bone block for the trees to get it proper white instead of yellowish white ? I think it would make the Amethyst for the leaves pop more also having some ender rods floating around the leaves would make it look magical at night :D

Stress, if you want the new lights, Impulse has a lighting shop which is selling them, also the skulk block you removed wasn't the one making the noise, it just detects you. There should be another block under the carpets that is a shrieker that shrieks when it gets a signal

If you need froglights, Cubfan is the way to go I think he has a farm for producing all three blocks

There are other hermits that have already set up farms and have found plenty of deep dark stuff to put in shops, so you don't need to go there if you don't want to.

Joe is selling tadpoles in his Mix-a-lotl shop, so you can grow your own frogs!

Stress if you continue building small houses through the valley you could use them as specialised storage. One could be your greenery storage with leaves, woods, other house could contain your colorfull blocks and the mine could hold geesers and terraforming material, stone dirt etc. And no pressure on going to the deep dark mojang did a terrific job in making it scary, if you want some deep dark blocks you could ask tango he did a farm for them.

Stress, you should go into the terra cotta business. See a need and fill a void and all that. Pro-tip: That mud can be converted to CLAY. Cauldrons are the key!

Not only can you waterlog mangrove roots, all leaves can be waterlogged in 1.19. Makes for some interesting designs for around water features!

- you can lead frogges, or breed with slimeballs for tadpoles and bucket them - the pale frogges (from tadpoles growing up in warm biomes) give purple lights when they eat the small magma cubes - likelyhood of a shop appearing for the frogge lights are extremely high, but if you wanna be self-sufficient stress, a farm using powdered snow is effective :D glad to see you back!

Should you do the quests? The answer is pretty simple 🤔 You should overthrow the government and watch the world burn! Also welcome back Stress ❤️

You can breed frogs using slimeballs, and if theyre close to water they will lay eggs in the water. Eventually the eggs will turn into tadpoles, which you can pick up with a bucket. Then just put them in water at ur base, and wait for them to grow up to become ur pet frogs!

No need to go to the ancient city if its too stressful 👍

If you don't want Ren as King, you can just start a rebellion and dethrone him! Whoever holds the "Tiny Crown" holds the power over the kingdom!

If you want to make it overgrown with your leaves, you should have mossy stone bricks next to them like the vegetation is growing in the cracks. I love your house, it is gorgeous!!

Stress, Terracotta is now renewable! Use a dripstone block and pointed dripstone to drain mud and it will turn into terracotta :) might be a bit easier than going to dig up a bunch when you want it

Impulse is selling froglights, I know it's not self-sufficient, but from watching his episode, the amount of effort required to farm them is... daunting.

Joe sell tadpoles, so you can buy some from him and grow a frog.

it's funny seeing people like you or doc who weren't here for the king coronation thing to come back and discover that hermitcraft is slowly turning into a monarchy roleplay. question is will you support it or be like grian and doc who are in the midst of rebelling/seceding

You can also bonemeal the mangrove leaf to grow more of the propagules :)

Some people have chosen to reject the idea of Ren as king. All of them do admit that the quests are a great way to redistribute the economy though. Many didn’t like Ren as king but they put up with it because Bdubs chose him for king. Ren was the one who built the paths (mostly) which is what started the whole king thing.

No, Stress, you _do not_ accept Ren as king. You assassinate him for a large financial and Zedvancement reward. Take a look at the comment below this one for the details. It's a once-off, so make sure to do it before anyone else to get all those diamond blocks!

Hey Stress Thanks for sharing your time away from the kiddos with us!! I wanted to suggest mossy stone brick and stairs to add some nature to the house. I was thinking that the stairs could use some green.

You could take some amethyst geods and lay them on the ground. So it looks like leavs thats fallen.

probably useless information, but if you place pointed dripstone below a mud block, the mud will eventually turn into clay, meaning clay is now completely renewable! (very exciting for me who plays on superflat haha)

Use fences along the trees (on top, something like a rope) and hang out some lanterns (custom ones made out of frog lights with banners and all) it would light up the place and also look epic

Don't worry about the Deep Dark! If you want to use Sculk blocks (they could look lovely at the base of a magical tree) I'm sure a hermit will be able to hook you up for them.

Since Stress wasn't at the diamond yeet meeting, she might actually be the richest (active) hermit.

You should use mud bricks for the path up to the house! It would look so good with the terraforming!!

Oh wow hearing that someone else is genuinely scared of the deep dark is so comforting I thought I was the only one. I've been skipping all of the hermits' deep dark sections haha! Don't feel pressured to visit it, a lot of hermits are already selling items from the deep dark!

What a lovely build! It is so perfectly integrated into the forest. I think the blue lanterns might be the perfect light source for the stairs. I look forward to seeing this theme develop.

Impulse sells froglights and Pearl has a clearing service which also applies to clearing trees.

maybe you could be the one to build a horse bridge? but i think the red manrgove door would be an adorable touch for any fair-tail cottages. and you can use mud bricks to make the foundations of houses, or bits where the paint has 'fallen off'. maybe you could pave your path with them!

The kings quests can be quite fun and you can get hold of lots of diamonds there. Some of them are chores to do with infrastructure like helping to build roads and stuff, others are silly pranks you can do, and yet others are just 'buy and sell things' or build a shop. So you can be rewarded for stuff you were going to do anyway!

Got a shop idea for you. Make a majestic elvenish barge/ship in the shopping district river names Stress' booty. Could even try a sail made of skulk and just vlaim it is the captured night sky.. could even move the prismarine items into it.

Of course, you don't have to go into the Deep Dark, but you should experience it. The darkness effect is scary, but is new.

Yes, Stress, you certainly did miss a lot while you were gone. But, spending time with your family is important. I hope you were having lots of fun. I'm sure that Gem or False will be happy to catch you up on the big changes, and you can just sort out the little ones as you find them. Be sure to call Israel "Sir Diorite Boy" when you see him, as it's his title in the court of RenTheKing. You can blame Bdubs for that, and many other things. As for the Deep Dark, best to avoid it, if you can. Anything you might need from down there, I'm sure that someone is selling it. please make more of the gorgeous Amethyst trees ! they r amazing and making them more bigger and sparse would look amazing, rather than the dense and small ones which r made (just a suggestion :) but plz try it once , it will look amazing) And u could also add blocks and shards or amethyst all over the area like fallen leaves, with moss or something.. just bringing more of purple color in the area

Stress! Since I know you love the mushrooms as much as I do I'd like to share with you my secret top tip for lighting dark oak forests! So what I do is remove the very top peice of stem from inside the giant mushrooms and replace it with a shroom light, and it makes the whole mushroom a really magical looking light source at night! I often add more giant mushrooms as well just to add more light sources, but i hope you try it out :) also the build is absolutely adorable, and now i want to recreate it but Im not that skilled haha
