I find it hilarious that in everyone else’s videos slime is green and friendly, but in Doc’s perspective it’s bloody red and spooky, meaning that their “we’re sorry” sign suddenly seemed really threatening
@@mme.veronica735 yeah, I’m a big fan of doc’s, and I love the tomato garden updates, but on that initial viewing in doc’s video, it’s really not a calming colour, which is pretty much the opposite of how it’s intended
I just want to say it's so wonderful that the Closed Captions are labeled both in color but also to start with who is speaking. Being able to watch the video in the same fashion as others even if you can't hear is genuinely so sweet.
@@thegreglin332 the anvil launcher proved it, im sure that if he tried he could make a fleet of flying battleships and send them too anyone on the server, would have been really handy too blast away the defenses around the portal in the empire SMP crisis
Doc getting so confused when Grian and Scar were complimenting him is pure comedy Edit: I don't wanna be that guy, but the most likes I've gotten on a comment was, like, seven, thanks everyone!
I love how there peace offering was diamonds. They gave diamonds to doc who uses diamond ore blocks for redstone to sit on. It like pouring a glass of water into the ocean.
and you can hear the panic when they realize doc has so much diamond ore he literally refers to them as building blocks. They knew right then and there that their little peace-offering pile was not gonna impress
I want to give a moment to appreciate the quality of grains subtitles. They're clear, understandable, don't need extraordinary context and I can watch anywhere with the same quality of life when watching at home or with headphones. Thank you for putting so much detail into something so minor!
i love how grian is family friendly and notices that some of us are older. so he ages up the audience. by far the best minecraft youtuber. aswell as mumbo. they share a braincell.
I love how when Scar lit the TNT at the end Grian was just like "Scar...." and stood there for a second instead of just immediately running like most people would instinctively do.
As he has realized that the person that he may have angered has the power of a thousand suns. If that already wasn't apparent from the Doc's pet Ender Dragon
@@gummyballer8 Considering the compliments and size of the apology gift, they already knew just how badly they messed up by breaking something of Doc’s. The anvil cannon just made them realize that he already has something deadly built. Or almost built. It’s finished now though…
It's good to know that you've made enemies with the person who has a doomsday scenario planned out on Hermitcraft. He has an orbital anvil machine that can spray anvils all over the map, and if you still have the mod, constantly crash your game.
then again, when you have 2 friends threatening to detonate a base plus an angry german who's about to turn the entity and scarland into the next hiroshima and nagasaki, you really can't blame him
@@Shadowdancer_Gaming Literally nothing is Grian and Scar proof. Grian will press random buttons and break it (or lodge a potato in the gears), and Scar will somehow die to it.
I love the complete switch in positions- Grain is usually the one coming up with plots and messing with people, and now he's on the other end of it and it's _hilarious_
Grian and Scar trying to compliment Doc is the equivalent of you and your siblings telling your mom how good she looks so she doesn't get mad that you broke her vase
I know it's a big meme but I actually am a big fan of the progress you've made! Imagining the entire base wrapping around the rocks is a beautiful sight indeed, can't wait to see it!
yah but doc had already initiated the anvil war that for some reason grain isn't aware of yet. We're in like four episodes at least between eitho and doc on that one.
4:14 I love the hyperventilating from Scar followed by "danger" poor guy's freaking out. xD 12:18 "You can either have a front and a back, or no back and no front." 14:32 It's great seeing Doc's video beforehand and knowing what he did. xD
15:35 I found it funny, that Grian is so paranoid, that he thought that the target block was a trap but it was left by Mumbo while doing a speedrun on achivements.
The dropper might have been broken or the timer to high. I could see it where scar would take the items out of the timer and triggering the tnt dropper instantly.
The dropper itself was real and armed. The bluff was a system detecting any attempt to disarm it. Grian could've went and disarmed it himself as long as he didn't tamper with the fuse.
Love that you can tell it was recorded out of order by the 'broken' portal in the background of the intro. Pretty odd that the portal shrunk and rotated isn't it? And I have totally, definitely not come from Doc's video where he absolutely didn't show off an update suppressing technique.
Fun fact: Even though the intro is meant to make you think it was shot before, the first scene clearly happens after revealing the incident to Doc as you can see by the "broken" portal. That's movie magic!
you know “it all started when grian touched my redstone, he played himself like a xylophone” 😂😂😂 love the fact that Doc is *constantly* quoting that cause, ITS HAPPENED AGAINNNNN
i love seeing impulse and gem just constantly push you not to procrastinate (especially since you got some motivation out of it) because thats exactly what i need to get working! if i know i have to finish something but i dont want to do it i'll straight up text a friend like "hey yell at me to get up until i do"
My favorite line from this is after gem and impulse come over and show him the ticking time bomb Grian says “who needs enemies when you’ve got a friends like these” at 12:55 ish It’s just a hilarious line
doc chasing down grian was probably the best thing that could have happened. A man who has the power to make that big of a hole in the ground could definitely do much worse things to a man
an enemy were you know what he can do is not as scarry , but what doc did to grians netherportal was really sick , thats typical minecraft breaking stuff from Doc
an elytra course would fit in nicely with your base, especially if it is going to keep on expanding. it can be simple, like having red hoops sticking out of each rock :D
Okay from what little I know about what Doc is capable of I can only interpret that single remaining portal block in Grian's portal frame as nothing less than an existential threat.
Having seen Doc's POV already, it's actually funny to think that the slime-block "WE'RE SORRY" was actually harder for him to see because he uses a resource pack to turn slimes and slime by-products into tomato-looking things.
New idea. Limited Life: Back of the Base Edition! Bring in all contestants who fails to finish The Back of their Bases to build Mega Bases and whoever fails to finish the back of their bases within the Next 24 Hours loses a Life. All has only 3 Lives from Green, to Yellow, to Red. The Boogie Man rule still applies. Yellow Names gets to Kill Green Names and Red Names has to go for Kills while worrying about The Back of their Bases. Whoever finished The Back of Their Base gains 3 Lives. If you Die on Red, you are out of the Series.
@@thegreatbeavers Ehh, it's an interesting concept, but idk if it really fits in with the theme of the other seasons. Building has never been the focus of any of the life series, only a "side quest" if you will. The main concept, I feel, should still centralize around the conflict and alliances.
I like to imagine when Grian stared at docm77’s diamond redstone TCG area Grian problem went “oh crap the diamond gift isn’t gonna work isn’t it?” 1:56
Dropping down to the comments again to just say - thank you for your work on the captions. Not only doing them, but labeling who's talking and in different colors. I really, really appreciate that you put the work in every episode to do that.
I was confused at first why Grian's portal was already broken during the intro but then I realized he must have filmed the intro after he met up with Scar and Doc.
