Hermitcraft SEASON 8 Day 1 RECAP!

Welcome to Hermitcraft. Where a boat cult is started, everyone bullies Scar for his hat, most people build with copper and Cleo murders the new members.

For the new viewers: as demonstrated with the starter bases, do not compare yourselves with the Hermits in terms of progress, especially if you are on single player.

Proximity chat seems to really be encouraging groups to form, when two hermits meet it's less "crouch and say hi" and more "We should go steal the declaration of independence" which of course is a bond for life.

you can just tell pixlriffs is smiling the entire time that he voices these videos, which in turn ( and I am going to take a guess here) makes a lot of us smile.

This season I have given myself the challenge of not watching Grian and rather watching some of the less subscribed hermits. So far its been a blast!

Can’t wait to keep up with the hermits this season!!

Challenge: Start by Watching One hermit, For every Hermit they directly Interact with you watch that hermit as well(Episode 1 and large scale multi-hermit events don't count cause everyone is there.)

I love how the nature of "Third Life" is stuck into HermitCraft

It was the most appropriate thing, I saw your "Hermit's Watch" comment on Zed's video, and him talking about the pitch drop experiment along with my own curiosity. I suddenly found myself watching the live feed of the aforementioned experiment, which I will point out is called "The Tenth Watch" as the next drop in the experiment will be the tenth drop. The only way it would have been more appropriate would have been if it was Season 10. But the next drop isn't expected to fall for another 8 years, so there's that.

2:00 Has anyone else noticed that BDub's new skin has a clock on it??? I haven't seen his vid yet, so I have no clue if he's mentioned it, but that is a fun detail

I'm just gonna say, I'm lovin the proximity chat. Plus, they probably have the option to just keep silent, so there's that too. Sometimes discord, zoom, whatever you use just doesn't do it.

I generally watch 15-17 Hermits each season. I found the server back at the start of Season 6finity and fell in love with these colorful weirdos. So happy to be along for the ride this time. Thank you, Pixelriffs and Zloy, for the amazing recap show!

I love watching Hermit recap as a refresh of everything before the next week of hermit videos, also because I started watching it I got interest in other hermits as well as seeing some on the own hermit's channels, I started with Grian, then Mumbo, then Scar, Iskall and Stress and then Keralis and Cleo, recently dtarted watching Ren and soon also Impulse because I'm watching Ren's whole last season.

The, "anyways, here's Wonderwall" was great

I'm surprised you were able to get a video out this quickly, at this rate it's going to take me a week to get through all the episode ones. As for Hermits to watch, I try to watch most of them (as time permits) but if I had to pick favorites they'd be Tango, Zedaph and Cubfan. I've particularly been enjoying Tango and Zed's Create Mod series between seasons, and hope they continue it.

Thanks for the disclaimer about how you should watch the smaller hermits too, since obviously the hermitcraft recap is stealing a lot of viewers from the smaller channels because people just watch the recap to see what they did.

I know no one really cares, but these are the hermits ive watched in season 6: -Grian These are the hermits I watch now: -Grian -PearlescentMoon -Mumbo Jumbo -Iskall85 -Keralis -TangoTek -XisumaVoid -Bdubs -GoodTimesWithScar -RenDog Yeah... the times have definitely changed

Tbh the start of a Hermitcraft season is the most exciting part of it to me. Everythings new, some new (or old) faces show up, people are still actually working to get their stuff, stake claims, create monopolies etc.

Zloy's seamless writing never ceases to amaze me xD And that splendid writing is brought to life very nicely by Pixlriff! What a powerful duo! Thank you so much for the recap :D

This _has_ to be the most chaotic start to a season we've seen yet

It’s called “casting” a nether portal, otherwise, it gets confused with “lava casting” a form of griefing used to create a cobble monster

I might continue watching the few Hermits i've been keeping tracks on (Grian, Mumbo, Scar, and Iskall as they seem to usually have something to do with a lot of the shenaniganry on the server) and maybe Pearlescent Moon as I've seen her previously on Grians older videos and am interested to see how she interacts with the other hermits going forward

I'm so excited that there's gonna be so much more interaction this season especially with no shopping district and the proximity chat. I can't wait for more videos to come out.

A suggestion for the name of the Savanna where Etho and Iskall are living, "The Ethskall Savanna" that or "The Ethskall Mountains", since it's more mountainous. I might post this other places too.

Scar is getting people to kill each other Scar and Grian have teamed up Ren has a follower with green as a major part of the skin Grian is already on Ren's bad list Bdubs and Tango are teamed up Are we sure this is just Hermitcraft, or did some of 3rd Life leak over?

I just got into hermitcraft and this was a huge help in tracking all their events. Really glad I found this channel

i just realized how hard this season and the next seasons for the forseeable future are going to be for me, i use she/gem pronouns and nobody else i know uses gem so whenver i hear that its an ingrained "me! thats me!" response so its gonna be a jolt every time i hear gems name

Grian is definitely going to turn the dragon egg into a lamp... and then sell it to Keralis for two stacks of diamonds.

This was in my recommended and I haven't watched Hermitcraft since the middle of Season 7, I'm surprised they've gone for this long. I was obsessed as a kid, and I've gone thru my time with it, and I loved it... Here's to Hermitcraft Season 8!!
