Doc may be able to break Hermits minds by breaking the very fundamentals of Minecraft but Zed. Zed, can break their minds by just being Zed and we love him for it.
I'd love to see Doc and his tech friends trying to automate the spawning and sorting of chicken jockeys. I imagine they'd be able to get the rates up quite a bit if they automated the spawning of additional chickens when needed and rigged it up to a full efficient zombie/mob spawner. If they managed to get it to a reasonably AFK-able state this could be a fun new way to manage trading halls and villager transportation.
Funny thing is about this bit is that when I saw it from Impulse's POV first, I didn't fully process just how insane a villager on a chicken was because my brain just registered it as "typical Zed behavior."
Yeah, after seeing impulse's video, I thought it must have been a wild zombie village jockey. Incredible odds, but possible. Finding out that it's farmable blew my mind.
Yeah because the ended dragon is going to be there and it just takes pistons and time…….. This on the other hand takes luck and a sacrifice of your sanity
But i mean like if you see an ender dragon, the last boss of the game, can destroy any block with just touching, flying over your base you will go "oh doc is doing something again" but 2 basic and harmless mobs on top of another is just blows your mind and leaves you speechless and i think its amazing and i thank zedaph to sacrifice so much time to show how cool it is
@runstarhomer2754 This season is not "may the odds be ever in your favor" but rather "I am forcing the odds to be in my favor by sheer tenacity and insane amounts of patience."
Zed and Doc are similar in ways that they break the limits of the game Doc's more grandiose, efficient and urban Zed is more challenging, creative, and rural
Not to be a semantics wizard or anything, that being said, it doesn't seem like the villager is the one being lead, rather it's the chicken the villager is on, and as leads supersede most natural pathfinding, the Villager is no longer able to pilot the chicken
I love how the hermits have accomplished so many insane feats like literal redstone coding (Tango) and putting dragons in the overworld (Docm), but something like this absolutely confuses the hell out of them because it’s just so… random 😂 9:45 Also, impeccable timing 😂
Look, the veteran hermits are sort of used to shenannigans…and they were awed. but can you imagine how surreal this must be for the new hermits? For SmallishBeans and Skizz? Damn this must be weird!
@@Fallowspots it’s at the end of the video….timestamped it, also. Just fyi….many Hermits are including outtakes at the end of their videos….lots of hilarity!
5:30 In mob sorters, to filter out a chicken jockey, drop all the mobs down a hole. Halfway down the hole, have flowing water held up by signs/open fence gates, flowing to a tube. If the hole is deep enough, all other mobs will fall so quickly that they won't be able to swim in the water, and will instead just have their fall damage reset. Because chickens glide down, they will get caught by the water, and can thus be sorted out in this way.
I think this is actually over complicated. Since the chicken jockey's are teleported to their "mounts" anyways, even through the floor, you can just have the chickens safe off the side while the main floor just drops everything that spawns on it down the hole and out of range. No need for a filter system at all since that happens naturally as they spawn.
I plan to give that villager a second world tour when the world download is made available, so he can see all the builds that aren't up yet during your tour... I may or may not rename him to Grandfather Cluck...
It would make such a funny bit. I wonder if the witch can hurt the chicken with poison. That would be so funny, all of that time and energy just for it to kill the chicken.
The fact that it’s not actually that hard to do, (you just need to cure a baby villager zombie jockey and let it grow) but it’s such a specific yet absurd concept that everyone just gets mind blown from it is great.
I can only imagine this being such a chore, but still such a fun project to do if Java baby zombies also had the vast roster of ridable mobs bedrock does. Like, imagine a villager on a wolf or a panda.
@@midnamagic2678 they don't spawn riding any, but if you kill the chicken, and a pig/sheep/cow/untamed wolf/untamed ocelot/panda/skeleton horse/some other mobs are nearby, the baby zombie will run towards that mob, ride it and then chase you.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee ohhhh. Yeah, the baby zombies riding the adult zombies was always them running to the adult and getting a piggyback ride. I’ve never seen them spawn like that. I’m going to have to test that out. Do they jump on tamed wolves or just wild wolves?
Do spider jockeys use the same trick for spawning skels on spiders? Could you farm those up? … and watching the villager float down makes me want to see a fountain of villagers slow falling out of a bubble column
tango: *dies of laughter* beef: *nervous laughter* xisuma: *a lot of technical talk, is very impressed* joel: *flabbergasted joel noises* impulse: *polite and intrigued* skizz: *impressed at how the chicken held up* etho: *all of the above and more*
I once had a baby zombie villager on a chicken on its way to my curing cage, only to be killed by a wandering golem. They do not show up often, that's for sure. But you can create a spawning area that you can refresh with a short rail trip to speed the process up.
You know how General Radahn in Elden Ring learnt gravity magic so he as a giant man could still ride his tiny horse? *Squints at villager* This man has powers.
🎉 I LOVE🎉 how zed leads the chicken-villager around with a piece of roasted chicken in his hand the whole time basically telling the chicken to keep up or your next on the burner! 🍗
I'm glad you showed the part explaining it to X. The bit about naming chickens for baby zombies to jump on is brilliant. May have to try it out on my world.
so a villager on a chicken is a grain fished mending book chance to happen.... wow! that's neat! you should also go for the different types of villagers too! so you can have a villager gang!
New Challenge for Zed : Get a chicken villager... FOR EVERY Villager type!! (Jungle Villager done!) This would probably require rebuilding the farm set up over all the other biomes....
I don’t know if anyone would know the answer. If Zed bred a ton of villagers and zombified the babies would they also have a chance to mount the chicken. Or is it only a naturally spawning villager zombie?
As per the wiki, the game checks for nearby chickens/spawns a chicken when SPAWNING a baby zombie(variant). I don't think conversions spawn new zombies, instead they just change the condition data of existing villagers to turn them(so that the villager's trade details are preserved). So no, converted villager babies will not turn to jockeys.
Thanks for this vid. I saw a few of these interactions on other Hermit's channels, but it was really fun to see it all together, and the ending was great! Cheers mate!
