Hero | A Supercorp Crisis AU | [Kara & Lena] 

This Supercorp AU is based on the events of the Crisis crossover episodes. AUs take so long to put together, but in the end they’re definitely worth it! I’ll put the more detailed storyline below which I do suggest reading, but the brief overview is that after Lena helps try to save the people of Earth 38, she becomes a paragon. She's a hero, and even though she doesn’t believe it at first, she’s reminded of the fact that Kara has believed in her all along and that she still does now. I'm calling it a Supercorp AU for that reason-because Kara is the one who always believes in Lena when no one else, not even Lena herself, does.

Detailed storyline:
When the antimatter wave is nearing Earth 38, Kara goes to Lena for help, knowing that she’s the only one who will be able to find a solution to transport civilians to safety. While their relationship is still rocky after the reveal of Kara’s identity as Supergirl, Lena of course will still help. Alex stays with Lena while Kara fights on the front line, but soon enough Lena completes her work on the portal and is out putting other people first by directing them to the ships.
When the superheroes are all transported together to the ship, Lena ends up with them. The Monitor tells them about the paragons who can save the multiverse, and Lena is one of them. Because of her family history, Lena doubts that she could ever be like one of the superheroes and so she says that it can’t be true. But Iris reminds her that as humans, they have a purpose too. She doesn't need alien powers to be a hero-she can be a hero just by being human. Kara has believed in her all along, and Lena reminds Kara what she’s fighting for. Who she’s fighting for.
And Kara tells Lena that she’s here because she’s need-just like every other hero there. Lena still has her doubts, but it’s clear at this point that she belongs where she’s meant to be. Because most importantly, Lena is good. Regardless of the fact that she’s a reminder of what Kara is fighting for, Lena is her own hero. And despite the rift in their relationship, Lena begins to realize once again that no matter what, Kara will always have her back.

So there you have it-the detailed storyline! And not to make things too long, but just for some background on this AU I'll add a bit about my theory as to why I think it could be possible for Lena to be the paragon of humanity. It doesn’t necessarily pertain to the storyline, but feel free to read if you’d like:
Despite the questionable things Lena has done this season, she’s continuously stood by her own “do no harm” mindset. And many times so far throughout the season we see her humanity come through, like when she tells Hope she doesn’t want to hurt Kara, or when she’s obviously very panicked when she thinks the kryptonite is actually going to fire at Kara in episode 8, or even when she sees her mother in the simulation because we got to see an even deeper side to the emotions she feels. And I'm not saying that the ends justify the means for her plan to use Myriad, but her want to do good is still there. Not to mention that she put all of her feelings and emotions aside and jumped at the chance to help the people of Earth 38 during Crisis. Being human is a balancing act, and while Lena’s may be of a more epic proportion than most (given her family, history, and the entire list of people who have betrayed her in the past), that quite possibly makes all of her decisions to be good and kind that much more of a victory.
Then there’s also the point that humans remind superheroes what they’re fighting for, and Lena is the epitome of what and who Kara is fighting for. Through the entire show and not just this season it’s clear that Kara will always see the good in anyone, including some of her darkest enemies (like Reign, Purity, and Pestilence to name a few...). So not only is she fighting for Lena personally, but she’s fighting for everything that Lena represents, which is the ability to divert from what is expected (in this case, choosing evil), and ultimately prevailing as something greater (which would be choosing good).
So long story short, I’m always going to be inclined to say that Lena is good, and that’s how I got the whole idea for the AU in the first place. If you all actually took the time to read this, thanks! But either way, hope you all enjoyed the AU :)
