Luna is a border collie and very used to hiking with me. I was relying on GPS to find my way in the dark, but I lost track of the trail. When I asked her to stay on trail, she found it and led me to safety. This documentary-style, outdoor video was done by a professional in dangerous conditions. Do not attempt to recreate without proper training. If you like it, let me know in the comments and I'll do more, improving my video skills as I work.

I dont understand why people love those new style plastic snow shoes ..they not perfom well at all in deep snow..when i grow up we use babish traditional snow shoes we had them for years never had a problem with them and they do their job in deep snow..

I got them as a gift and I used them because they were free. But I don't recommend them. I would much rather, at the very least, nylon straps and metal clips. Thanks for watching!

Why does my comment about not exposing your animal to dangerous environment, keep disappearing?

I don't know. Good thing I didn't expose my farm dog to anything she can't handle though. Thanks for watching.

Risk your life all you want, but don't risk your animal's life... unnecessarily.

@@bowieupland6112 I encourage you to research border collies and their ability to handle mild winter temperatures. Keep in mind that I had the appropriate gear for her, including a sleeping bag, portable shelter and other supplies if I needed to bivouac. If you have valid evidence to prove I endangered her in any way, I'd be happy to review your information, but I have thoroughly researched border collies, safety and dog training. I also get advice from professionals.

@@lunadiscgolfdog The only "valid evidence" necessary, is common sense. You yourself said that she could have ran off and confronted a predator, or gotten lost in the dark. Like I said, unnecessary risk of a beautiful dog.

@@bowieupland6112I think you're underestimating the heartiness and intelligence of border collies. She's fully capable of handling this mild winter weather or any wild animals in Vermont. But thanks for watching and commenting.
