@ikigai724 NS is more of performance oriented, due to the perimeter frame, better gas charged nitrox monoshock. NS looks and feels bigger side by side with Raider. if your a tall lad, NS will suit you more (u can ride it if ur short too) Raider offers more gadgets and leds, while offering decent performance. Its a small bike in person, and if ur tall it will be a bit uncomfortable and the bike looks like a toy infront of tall people. if ur short its perfect for you. Practically speaking, Raider has some disadvantages, Many raider owners have faced this due to the smaller battery provided, it drains very fast. You cannot keep TFT screen on in traffic when engine is off. Never give indicators when engine is off, since they are of Bulb type it consumes more power than anything else, you can fix it with led indicators easily. You might get stuck there due to low battery. Since It does not have a kick start, you will have to ask someone to give u a push to start it. Keep Rats away, on the raider all the wiring is easily accessible to Rats of small and medium size - use tobacco + naphthalene ball packs to deter rats. Braking is a bit tricky, it offers no feedback of bite, but stopping power is there, but problem is if u dont get feedback u will try to pull the brake lever harder, which will cause the front and rear to lock up easily causing a fall. if u take care of these things then its all right. Raider still has more features - Riding experience in city is good, but on highway, confidence levels drop, bike wobble a bit when a truck passes you at high speeds, bike does feel slow on highway, topping out at 110kph on a moderately windy day, taking corners at slower speed feel safe, but at highspeed bike refuses to turn easily. - Does not have an engine kill switch T_T - this is the worst one for me, Having to twist the key to stop the engine sucks, and during an accident a kill switch is very usefull, twisting the key every time feels oldschool and outdated. instead of eco-pwr switch I wud rather have an engine kill switch. NS on the other hand -NS 125 has a kick start to assist in situations of emergency, no need for pushing the bike to a start, just use the Kick. - it has all the core electrical wiring locked away in sealed compartments and very narrow spaces where a medium to small rat cant get in to nibble away wires. (only a cockroach can get in, but they cant bite off wires, can they ?) - Breaks on NS are better, feedback is progressive while stopping power being excellent, but if u want you can lock up the breaks here too, due to lack of ABS, but breaking feels safer thanks to progressive feedback, so rider can control the breaks better. - Riding experience feels better when taking to the highway, its very stable a top speed and takes corners at good speeds, top speed is higher at 118kmph, but its still a 125, if ur performance hungry you will ask for more power anyways. So to conclude, -TVS Raider is more VFM, feels more modern with lots of features packed in at very low price. - NS feels outdated with its halogen lights, same old analogue digital cluster from 10 years ago, same old design language as 200NS and 160NS.

Wrong. It's all about creating aspirations to drive sales. You may choose to increase the Brand length or depth or both simultaneously. 125/135 segment is a tough one to crack. The way I see it, a big if, if this new platform works, TVS won't shy away from launching a Raider 150. Bajaj has already tested these waters with Discovers and Platinas only to fail miserably. Extending the Pulsar line is a safe bet to still be present in that segment.

Agreed! Whether one likes the Raider or not, it has certainly changed the commuter bike segment for good. Other manufacturers should also focus on providing a premium experience rather than putting together a bike that just works.

@@alexmercer3001 no dude, they are not using the same chassis as Splendour and old glamour, this is new chassis launched in 2020, it’s based on diamond frame chassis, compared to dual frame in old ones…further it has less fibre part, as compared to raider, so damage will be less if met an accident…further glamour is trusted brand, raider is new, and has lot to prove , I don’t think 125 cc market segment going to buy raider…with no kick and open chain, it is costly and high maintaining bike, ppl will avoid this totally..

@@doitmyway4415 Still Hero doesn't do much in R&D, They could have added so many features by now. After all these years they updated the frame just 2 years back?. When masses buy your product, you improvise on it to give them better products. you shouldn't be putting all the profit to your pockets.

@@alexmercer3001 kickstart is a must for hero because powerstart especially in i3s variant is not trustworthy. Also Bs6 engines need at least 4-5 kicks to start.
