SEPTEMBER 11, 2024: As heavy rains lashed sections of the Corporate Area yesterday (September 10), Majesty Gardens resident Anthony Sutherland got comfy inside his house and began to watch an action movie.
Little did he know that just minutes later, he would be involved in an actual action sequence and life-saving occurrence. The Kingston 11 fisherman is being hailed as a hero after he successfully pulled a woman who was being washed away by floodwaters from the Sandy Gully.
Unfortunately, body of Rahjaun Melbourne, who was also swept away during the heavy rains, was found in a gully along Chesterfield Drive in St Andrew today.

You are a community Hero...my son was awarded for bravery at the age of 12 yrs old and he also got hometown hero...i advise you mr sutherland to go and do a CPR training...i have a certificate in CPR...you are gifted...god loves you..big up urself...and i hope you are recognised on heroes day...🎉🎉 as old people would say that young lady must wash your feet and drink the water...God bless you...your speech touch my heart...❤
