Actually, 1.16 was the FIRST EVER VERSION to not say „Removed Herobrine”, meaning that he’s „in the game”. Which is fitting, as it’s kinda the Hell Update (Nether is kind of Hell). And since, no patch note said it removed Herobrine, so it’s now official he was added to the game in the Nether Update XD
I find it funny a lot of people didn’t realize that you can turn name tags off and they have a range with a lower chunk render range it goes down aswell and the videos you used to always see on how to summon him was halarious
Same dude, there was a time when I wouldn’t play for weeks cuz I thought he was real. Also my brother decided it would be fun to join my world on an alt account with his gamertag as Herobrine and a herobrine skin. He also made some of those like glow stone things and messed up a bunch of trees
It's NOT a joke by Mojang to freak out players. They lost a ton of players when the Herobrine was around because of people didn't like a creature ruining your game, so some of the players did quit playing MC. So because of the players were freaking out because the Herobrine, and did not want to play the game, Mojang kept adding "-removed Herobrine" to calm people down and keep them on.
@@LANCER_EVO_V it literally is. No one freaked out, no one actually cared. I played back in 2013 and I've not met a single person that freaked about herobrine being real.
Mojang added the “Removed Herobrine” message as a little gag to troll players, and they stopped doing it because now everyone thinks Herobrine is real and uses that for “proof”.

to start, that first screenshot of herobrine was already proved to be photoshoped, theres nothing proving that herobrine really existed sadly, but its the reality.
Years ago my brother was playing minecraft once, he was playing alone without wifi, i was sitting next to him watching him play but then a typing showed saying '____ has left the server', but he wasnt with anyone..
This happen to me one time when i was a much younger, I loaded into a minecraft world, I found floating structers in the air. Then i found the trees randomly on fire and some didnt have leaves. I started freaking out but at that time i didnt know who or what was Herobrine. I didnt see herobrine cause i left the game right away and Trees on fire and random scructures are the first signs of Herobrine so thats why i didnt see him.
Fun fact: In the game files of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Minecraft you can find herobrine's texture, it remains unused but you can replace it over another mob and it will work
