Yep, imagine how OP it was before, I heard that the meta with any faction was just to find a necro side town and farm skellies.

Cloak of the Undead King doesn't do that in HotA with tournament rules.

Hmm, I'm not sure if that's true. I heard that overlords have the highest chance, at 80%.

@@ziomalisty it will with a bit of luck and visiting all the library of enlightenment/dragon utopias you can find but you will not get Archangel rank at the end anymore.

Depends on the rules, most people always have diplomacy and sometimes also isra banned on huge maps in multiplayer, not to mention necromancy is much less powerful in hota.

​@@br3ak_ you're right... the truth is that the ones who are able to conquer utopias or who have a more "favorable" spawn location will always get the upper hand and win... idk. My original comment wasn't referring to official tournament rules or multiplayer game-play with banned heroes... more like randoms ​vs AI .

There are people who are totally new to the game who watch my videos and may appreciate the level of detail that I go into, even when someone else may find it redundant. If you were actually trying to be constructive with your comment instead of just looking for attention, you would understand that...

You need the cloak of the undead king combination artifact. However, on Jebus Cross it's effects are disabled.

You can reroll (research) spells once per day for the price of 1k gold + the rare resources that it took to build the mg (in the case of mg3 its 6 sulfur, gems, crystals, and mercury). With 5 rerolls you're guaranteed to get animate (although that would be really unlucky).

Left click any of the level 3 spells (or whatever spell you want to replace) and click research. drive.google.com/file/d/1JSeMSI_SuYdJ5HbKCQyprhx55qXlIv8B/view?usp=sharing Just remember that if you accept research, you will not be able to replace that spell anymore (so if you get 2 bad spells as your choice it's better to not accept it, so that you can use that slot again for the next time you research)

@@alex_the_magician9483 Hmmm... it doesn't show this screen in my game when I left click a spell - it just shows me the spell's description with a single OK button to close it... I guess it doesn't exist in GoG's Homm3 complete edition with HD+. Was this option only added with HoTA?

@@MrWorshipMe I thought it was added with the HD mod, but if you don't see it then it must've been added in hota.

Vampire lords are viable if you get a large enough number of them. Around 25+ is what you need, so if you find a box of vampires/vampire lords, or about 3 external vampire dwellings, then you can build them. However, they can be tricky to use sometimes, and you always have to watch out for things that their life drain does not work on. I would be much less likely to go vampire lords if my break is something like ghost dragons for example (although they can still be useful for farming the map).

the break on jebus cross is the guard that separates your starting zone from the desert zone, you try to kill it as early as possible so that you can get to the center as it contains more high value objects, check out my introduction to jebus cross video if you want to know more

You can go for vamp lords if you get a vamp/vamp lord box, or if you have 2 or more external vampire dwellings. They are pretty imba, but a bit slow if you have to build them and rely on the 121 growth. Theoretically you can go for black/dread knights if you get a few of their external dwellings, but it's not that common. Ofc you can always snowball through creature banks too. You can take consas with no losses if you have enough skeletons, and with a few angels you can pretty much farm everything. Or you can go for pickets with haste on skeletons and a one stack that has speed 8 or higher. Basically, necro can do everything that everyone else can do, and it also has some unique options of its own, which is part of what makes it pretty op :)

My videos deal with PvP play, and mostly with Jebus Cross. When it comes to that, the advice is pretty much exactly how you play necro. I have learned more things since I've made this video, but this still remains the go to strategy - snowball skeletons, get animate dead, and clear the map.
