I haven't thought about this game in years until I heard my partner's stepfather playing the Ubisoft version the other day; now we have something to bond over, lol. I'm so happy this game's fanbase has not forgotten it.
Dear Songs of Conquest, please add the left and right mouse button swapping option. Having played HoMM 3 since launch, playing SoC feels like driving a car that makes you turn the steering wheel left to turn the car right. Thank you!
Might be an Unpopular opinion.... But I'm gonna say it.... Every computer should always be sold off the shelves with HOM&M 3 Pre-downloaded in it's hard drive. There I said it.

I can't wait to back this KS campaign next week! I love Heroes III, I love boardgames, and I've been waiting years for this to happen. Just as a boardgame itself, it looks great and interesting to play! And I really like the new town mini board with tiles, instead of cards. Really looking forward to this!
homm3 is one of my many childhood favorite games and i’ve always thought as a kid that this game would make a great board game, it’s a shame it took this long but finally we have one!

I've just redownloaded Might and Magic 3 and I've looked through the board game reviewers videos for this - holy shit it looks absolutely incredible. I will 100% be supporting this game.
Agree! However.. there are opportunities for unpainted. Say you want a different color or " correct " some color shecmes that you dont like. Again, you can just paint over. Say, the Black dragons usually have this shiny dark yellow belly and purple tint on the edges of the wings. You can just paint it more in neutral colors like greys and white

@@karpai5427 I think Stronghold and Inferno might be planned as future expansions after the release of the boardgame. (And btw in Heroes 3 there are 8 main factions, or 9 if you count Conflux) And yeah I am also really hyped for the Factory release in HotA, Heroes 3 keeps getting better and better ^^
I can’t wait for the kickstarter campain. But I have some questions: 1. Where is Inferno!? 2. Where are more heroes? 3. Are we going to get more tiles?
In the blog they stated that more factions will be available as expansions later, for the base game it has the Castle, Necropolis, and Dungeon as the standard options. Earlier in development they said inferno was going to be in the base game but that's instead going to be in the first expansion along with the Rampart.
@@shigerufan1 Interesting because that isn't what their kickstarter page has been showing. It was the 3 baseline then Tower as a Kickstarter exclusive (find this peculiar to be a kickstarter exclusive but what do I know) and then you can also buy 3 expansions (Battlefield(for the actual battlefield), Rampart and Fortress) So there are 2 missing: Inferno and Stronghold.
Accent aside, intriguing trailer. .. But some major things are missing such as: Most factions Actual game to board comparison (just starting random strategy game bases isn't revealing) Decent mini overview Pvp only or does it have pve options like descent and gloom haven (the og game allowed fun pve teamwork and add mais that made teams complimentary. How many of the heroes will be there. Ftl file included? Soundtrack disk? I could go on
I was so many many hours in erathia, both mam and homam. I can't wait for this. And knowing the quality of archon products, this will be fantastic. Backing the best possible package as soon as possible.

Hope for Armageddons Blade expansion. LOVED the extra dragons it brought. blue Azure dragons, orange Rust dragons, purple Faerie dragons and the crazy red crystal construct dragons! Also interesting how the Conflux inhabitants would look in mini form
Will for SURE pick up this board game. Grew up with HoMM as a young lad. Sitting infornt of my ol computer back in 1997, having view towards the nearest mountain. Daydreaming about green and yellow dragons living in the caves dotting the mountain side😆( Rampart fan) Very happy that it seems you will add faction specific mini packs down the line. And most of all I hope you add ***Armageddons Blade*** expansion after that. Imagine asking people to fund a kickstarter for a tabletop game based on a franchise that's held by one of the greediest gaming companies ever. Fuck that, another attempt to cash in on the nostalgia, because that's the only thing they got left after milking the franchise for so long.
I'm so excited for the Kickstarter campaign next week. Will 100% bake the game as for me HoMM was one of my childhood games on PC. I've played all parts and addons. So it is all the nicer to experience this experience again as a board game. With HoMM 3 one of the best parts of the series was also used. I'm so excited about the game and also hope for a good German translation of the game in the campaign.
It works really well. You can recruit, build and get spells simultanously with other players so there is less downtime. And the battles itself are not that fiddly, you have cards you can play and apart from that its just moving units and attacking (and you roll a dice each time you attack which leads to your damage being a bit varied like in the game) The Kickstarter ends in like 8 or 9 days so I would recommend you backing it so you will get it asap :)

I slipped into a daydream while watching this video. The dream was that I was extremely wealthy and I had commissioned someone to make HOMM3 but modern and beautiful but truly keep EVERYTHING the exact same. Obvious exceptions for quality of life mechanics but the actual gameplay would remain the same with better graphics.
Looks great but I can't stop worrying about the simplified combat grid... I know a boardgame generally can't be 1:1 with the actual PC version, but it could possibly have a bit more room to it.

I wish someone would make a MMORPG based on this game, This was one of the first PC games I ever played when I was young and it blew me away back then and still does now. I love the art style very much and the music as well. Heros 3 deserves more but I'm glad you guys have made this table top game.

A heads up everyone, Archon Studio have a very bad reputation and track history with their kickstarter campaigns. Do some reaserch on them before backing this.

There are videos of people playing the prototype and I can assure you it works perfectly. The game has Multiplayer Koop, Multiplayer Versus and a Singleplayer mode. The exploration aspect works really well and they implemented a deck building aspect with the Artifacts and secondary skills. Battles really capture the oldschool Heroes 3 feeling and customizable difficulty settings add a lot of replay value to the game. The Kickstarter ends in like 8 or 9 days so I would recommend you backing it so you will get it asap :)
How is starting point working in this version of the game. Normally opponent is rather distant and you discover him at some point but here ? if its on adjacent tile then game would be very short. so how this works?
I understand some will be face down Nd scenario will say that max is this and this nr of tiles for short or long game. That would make sense. But if game is played by 2 humans then both will see each other starting point right? Snd teroretically they should have some tiles face down to "connect" at some point.
Yes you are right, unless they copy mechanic from star trek ascendancy, where you can rotate planets and pathways, but this would be challenging with hex grid.
