I had been playing heroes since it was released and i wasnt aware of this for 10years wtf

Did you heard beta Haven theme? There was a text "Once upon there were heroes, heroes everywhere, now it's time to rise again, heroes everywhere" The reason why this themes are so great, is that Necropolis with same theme but twisted, as you said, have another meaning.

What's even cooler is that both themes are variations on Liszt's "Totentanz", which itself is a paraphrace of the gregorian plain chant "Dies Irae"

I thought it is also this way cause Asha is a primal godess for both of these factions. But having a different aspect for each one

Three was the last one. Four was some goofy joke that looked and felt nothing like a Heroes game, and Five went with its generic, trashy animesque aesthetic to attract god knows what demographic.

@@zlosliwa_menda Maan, Heroes V was a masterpiece in every aspects. There has never been such great improvement in the Heroes game history. Amazing game dynamics, various heroes, personalities and towns, WONDERFUL music, moreover not to mention graphics and how much effort was put in the animations.

@@zlosliwa_menda And I like the 4th part. But not some online gameplay, no. Namely, the original campaigns about Verzhak and Goldot, wonderful storyline of the company. I also remember about Tawni Balfour. I bet that not every strategy professional will be able to pass (win) this campaign without cheats.

I like theme from III more... but still, it's a very good theme, creates dark and dominating atmosphere.

@@undefinedundefined7420 Об этом сайте только слышал, но никогда на подобные не заходил. В клубах все в 2000-2008 гг. играли в тройку, редко в четверку. Зато на хатах все резались именно в последнюю, хотя карт было мало хороших и приходилось их делать самим. Редактор в четверке намного лучше, чем в пятерке, кстати. Когда пятые вышли, то мало у кого пошли, так как на пентиумах четвертых далеко не уедешь. У кого компы в 2006-2008 были получше (вернее, родители купили), тем пятые понравились и они пересели на них. Многие еще играли в четвертых в это время. В 2010-2011 и позже в пятерку могли играть уже все, да только резаться о полигоны и ждать по 10-15 минут ход уже мало охотников было. А кто там обанкротился или переехал - никого это не волновало, ибо широкие массы игроков всегда были в отрыве от производства продукта. Что на стол поставили, то и ели, грубо говоря. Рейтинги - вещь вообще субъективная и не всегда популярность игры достоверно в них отражается.

All of the cities use the same motif, which is the central Theme.

Agreed! The Heroes 5 towns are the only ones in the franchise that go out of their way to show you what a fantasy city might look like instead of "here's some thematic creature dwellings and some token populace buildings".

The funny part is - whole city is levitating like Academy towns

@@getlow5988 is weird because in the map the city is like in the top of a mountain, while the academy towns are really flying even in the map. So I'd say the city is just over the top of a mountain

Игровая условность, в плане размеров. Думаю, предполагается, что башни более существенны в плане размеров. Или же с их размерами всё нормально. Зависит от масштаба. Если бы мы видели каких-нибудь людей в масштабах города, то возможно, все объекты казались бы достаточно соразмерными друг другу

Nah I don't agree, I think this one is deliciously evil. But I do love HoMM3 necro as well.

It's not the Town presentation itself. It's the music. The theme is just weird, and not in a good way. Sounds slightly comical, while is the others that are dead serious.

It's not ugly, it's atonal. A weird feeling was the composer's intention.

I don't think it's ugly. It's supposed to be a death version of Heaven

It makes the necromancers seem evil yet effective.
