its a common thing on this game tho. the amount of times it seems like there is 10 guys when its just one dude. most likely the same effect happens in real warfare

That was partially intentional deception, but they still scored an impressive number of kills with limited numbers. I can vaguely remember stories of bunkers or defensive positions being held by by individual soldiers against overwhelming odds, and similar events at sea, but not any specific examples. Taffy 3 in the battle off Samar is a good one. Not exactly the same, but similar. The Japanese thought they were against cruisers instead of destroyers because of how bold the destroyer captains were.
I picked this game up yesterday and killed 15-17 people in a row as a sniper my first round as sniper. Got 2 unlocks for it, one called "Filthy Camper". This game plays to my strengths. Being a sneaky, ambushing unrepentant bastard. Come join the dream, my man.
Damn, I love the M1 Garand. It's such a good rifle, on this game it really makes it feel authentic. I'm so happy people actually fall from 1 shot instead of taking nearly a full clip like in some other games... Hell Let Loose is as Hardcore as it gets, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good immersive shooter, it really makes you think and makes you want to take your time instead of running around straight into enemy fire... Don't play if you're expecting it to be anything like Call of Duty or Battlefield, this is complete opposite to those fast paced shooters. You cant play Call of Duty style on this game or you will literally die a lot, this is a 'slow is smooth, smooth is fast' type game. I love it.

Yet in certain moments you can play it like a fast paced shooter and holy shit is it satisfying, happened a couple times the other night with a thompson in one game and mp40 in another where i just ended up in the middle of a couple squads and just went ham
If it makes you feel any better. I bought it after watching this video, ive played one game and im absolutely terrible so far but the game is AMAZING. The environments, ambience, real sense of dread and danger, im about to hop into my second game and what a ride lol
I had a recon stand in this exact house; my team was advancing from the southwest and I had 3 other guys with me. 2 on the street, and one down on the second floor, my spotter. The enemies began letting off rounds, one of the guys moved up for an advantage but someone on the opposite side of the street, as I was gonna shoot him he shot my team member in the back with his MP. I shot him in the head, and as soon as I did I was suppressed by machine gun fire. I couldnt do anything but watch as the team member on the street gave it one final stand as he hipfired his machine gun directly at the 5-10 enemies at the end of the street. Only about three of the enemies survived, and they retreated for cover on a house. My spotter said to stay in the attic as our team members were nearly here. I gunned down as many as I could, but unfortunately my spotter said he had to go do something, which was go put a garry down. Enemies were still jabbing at the small village, and my spotter literally 1v5'd the enemies as he sprinted down the street to cover, throwing down a garry. He unfortunately was shot down from the fields as he gunned at the 5 enemies nearby, getting two before he died. I shot down one, before retreating back to the second floor. Best team members ever. I'll miss those guys, MehZooid, Noobslayer69, polite frog, and frankensteiner.
I remember doing this exact thing is Squad. Just as fun and entertaining. I got 20 kills before dying which was just obscene, which is basically what you did. Great job dude!
I love the sound that getting a headshot makes. I also love the one shot kills it really makes you think about your next step one second you're alive then the next second you're dead seemingly out of nowhere and not showing where the player that killed you is located like battlefield or cod kill cam
This game gets the feel of the M1 Garand down so well. The firing animation gives it such a realistic sense of weight and recoil, and the sound that accompanies is so good that when I play occasionally I’ll get a tiny phantom whiff of cordite after firing off a clip lol.
It’s so funny when you’ve played so many hours on FPS that when someone aims down sight on someone , a little tick goes off in your brain like “pull the trigger!” Anyone else feel this?
I study screenwriting in school for Film and Arts , I’m going to make my finals short movie based on this :D no cap. How a young American soldiers over take a German town just to be counter attacked the next, while over run by heavy German troops our main character takes shelter in a bit of a blown up house , where he makes he’s stand all day until night fall, when call goes quite, by that time the rest of the Americans have fled or died and the Germans toke the town and the young American needs to flee but he cannot so next day he decides to fight until he’s death to make he’s father proud , so he sets up for a ambush in early morning and fires off taking countless German lives , Germans try to grenade him out and also rush him out but nothing works , the panzer unit cannot come into town quickly as well because how it’s placed and it’s environment . He fights until he’s very last bullet before he runs out and is left with he’s 1911 pistol. Just as the Germans get the tanks in town and get ready to push in before the tank fires, a ally plane goes over bombs the tank leaving everything in dust and smokes and the us troops come rushing in getting a perfect ambush on the Germans , the wounded and dramatised American (main character)comes walking out of the building face covered in blood and dust and dirt . The end. Need to add and fix some stuff but could be possible with the school budget and cgi students

I don’t know about ps5 but on pc I don’t think it’s hitscan, the bullets have drop and everything. I don’t know if that’s something you can do with hitscan

I would like to imagine at the end that he was only wounded since looked more of a shot to the leg and they captured him. Later under interrogation they found out he was left behind when the rest of his squad fell back as he gave them covering fire moving from window to window in an abounded house. He would later be relased as a POW in late 1944 after Hitler committed suicide and the German Reich fell.
I didn’t know this game was on PS5 that’s pretty cool. I’ve been playing this for awhile on my PC it’s such an intense game when you get into situations like this!

The last guy would’ve had me furious. I understand why ppl are wondering how you can play this on controller. I don’t even try to hold my breath anymore with R1 unless they are completely still. Micro adjustments are near impossible, I usually try to anticipate where they are going to be and aim there.
as someone with little experience of playing fps with controllers (grew up playing gta, wwe, star wars) thinking of being on such a stressful position with limited freedom of movement makes me feel some type of uneasiness, props to everyone who's godly controllers
The Americans had battled to the town chateau. The Germans had already set up 2 concealed machine gun nests with interlocking fire. They just let the Americans walk right in and cut them Down. Sgt. Willows heroically fought a seeming endless stream of respawning German soliders desperatly trying to keep their grasp on the front line. We only learned of Sgt. willows astonishing display of Marksmanship from the germans. They thought there was at least 6-8 guys in that house. Their Lt. made note of it in his journal. "If every single American fights like this one did, we have already lost." He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
Should have used the other loft at the end my man, you can see right down the only staircase they can use its such a massive advantage in those houses but was a stellar defense.
This action is like DSC or Silver Star award. Very nice last stand. I read not one story like this. One GI with his rifle and bunch of enemies. Thanks to those mans, their platoon or even whole company was saved.
Little tip for those German players. When you take a shot that causes suppression, find cover immediately, and hit the dirt. It blows my mind that just kept running forward lol
Great streak bro. I tried playing with controller and got fucked up. I’m so hit or miss when it comes to controller and shooters. Games like Halo I do great and in this game I get fucked up
