I live in Bolton and know a lot of these that used to be open. The memories, love what you do, you put back a little life into these old buildings before being destroyed for ever. Keep filming and stay safe lads. 👍

Thanks Clarkster & team I live & work about 15 mins from Clare fishers I went in about 2003 sold tools,locks,etc... Strange to see like that at one time it was busy & had a lot of staff there. Quality editing when showing drug paraphernalia & cool music.

Hey up , clarky the company started in 1911 as Fisher raworth & company ltd , until 1997 it used to be a ironmongers and locksmiths pipe fittings you name it another great company lost to the major DIY stores , were you have to find stuff yourself, not the personal touch you used to get in places like this . Oh Im on it brother Ive been there multiple times but no access as of yet and I used to frequent it a a nipper too witn my Mum and with school! Good old Grosvenor Road ;)
i think this used to be called Fisher Rayworths back in the day - went for a job interview there in the late 1970s but didnt get it - worked for a solicitor instead - their loss tbh - sold locks and iron stuff

Correct. I am a plumber. They were used mostly on the old LCS (low carbon steel) pipework which was used in large commercial buildings. It all had to be threaded by hand. You end up with Popeye forearms after a few fittings 😆

Hey clarky started watching your vids last week and there great ,it's great to see a local ISH guy do the areas we mostly know ,I'm a manc your a salfordian but that's ok lol ,the blue vice type machine on the table was a sellotape bag fastener.,when you go in a shop and they put stuff in a plackie bag they spin the bag and put it through the machine and it seals it ,hard to explain but there you go .
