There are a ton of things that you guys are playing incorrectly, you may want to read the rule book again. Or ask questions on the heroscapers question dump. The range on melee figures such as samurai is a range of 1, which is an adjacent space, not within two spaces away. Also, the outline of the fall damage you described is for extreme fall damage, which comes into play when your figure falls more than 20 spaces below his base. If the figure falls at the same amount of spaces he is tall or more up to 20 you roll one un-blockable attack die. I like you guys, love this game, and have most of all the expansions. My name is TREX on Heroscapers, and I would be more than happy to help you guys learn this wonderful game better.
yeah we do play with all the rules correct. i was rushing to get the rules explained and it is easy to say things wrong. lol trust me we know how to play this game. it is hard sometime to bring that into the video. thanks for the comment, and for watching. Ill do my best to do better :) but i do want you and all the fans to keep me honest.
Just picked up the Valkyrie master set, the castle and a few expansions (all opened) for $20 from a local facebook post :D. I just counted everything up and everything is complete too! Was an exciting score for me!
Wow, had this game when I was an awkward middle-schooler and ended up selling it (the starter set) a couple years ago for around $10. What was I thinking?
@@rzq100 With any luck, you guys will be able to purchase the new Heroscape: Age of Annihilation set coming out soon and start your collections over again.
Also building tip, Idk I had allot of OCD when building, but I used the black asphalt pieces from the Marvel set for building lava fields and/or mountains. lol I would always use all the pieces but the concrete. Sand was a pain in my ass too, cool for swaps and beaches, but I always used it as base tiles.
STONEhenge 47 I agree. I love using the asphalt with the lava, works great as Like harden magma. And as for sand I make a cool colosseum map people like for my tournaments but other than that I sometimes line water tiles but many use it for base tile.
FYI - at 12:34, you are counting the move of the Samarai. The movement would have actually cost you 6 points. Simplified - You count the sides of the tiles you are climbing as well as the top of the tile you actually land on. :) Happy Scaping!
I'm just lucky to have gotten a shit ton back in the day, plus a whole bunch from old friends. I have 3 Master sets, 2 Swamp sets, the Castle set, the Lava set, the Forrest set, the Jungle set, and the Marvel set and I have a lot of the character expansions. Pulled it down from the attic for the first time in years. Tried to get my friends into it, they liked it but it just took too long and we never finished the game. It's a hassle to build just because it takes me a few hours, I remember spending 5 hours on one because I wanted to do sky bridges across the whole map(sounds weird but it looked really nice) It's mostly the Castle set which is a royal bitch. Sliding the walls and ladders together can be a pain in the ass, and the whole lot of the pieces I've easily broken and other than that the only pieces easily breakable are some water tiles (which is really in inconveniencing, plus one of my sets has the sparkling water tiles which I don't like to mix with the plain ones out of OCD) I really wanted the Ice set even back in the day. Need to get 2 Ice sets and 1 more Lava and Jungle set and a few Castle and Forest sets. Also that DD set looks good for some dessert/mountain or I was thinking cave maps.
Renegade Game Studios is bringing HeroScape back 100% official. March 1 will be a virtual con where they'll show off the first wave and pre-orders open.
back in the day the only sets i didnt get were the marvel ones because fuck crossovers, and i think a couple small "heres a couple characters" sets i miss playing this as a kid
I stubbornly tried to do that too, but my kids' budget and teaching-me-the-value-of-money parents weren't enough to get me anywhere close before the game's cancellation. I plan to be much more stubborn now that I'm on an adult budget and Hasbro is preparing to bring Heroscape back.
Heroscape returns! Two days ago, AvalonHillGames tweeted a teaser for an upcoming Heroscape release. The Heroscapers website and Sir Heroscape's youtube channel are on top of the unfolding news and confirming it is legit. Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is coming!
If it's *highly* out of print, they never bring it back, but if it's just out of print, they might. So Heroscape must not be highly out of print because they're bringing it back!
+Game Vine yea make me a offer, actually email me, I'll take a picture and show you what I got cause I got a box full I don't know what's there. Also I'm in Australia.
